Interesting concept...just not sure why pool needed to be played while trapped in a box in outer space.

This is an actually great idea, a rare thing to come across on Greenlight. Good job.

Fresh game :D

The game's picture looks like fish eggs, rather than billiards.
Dr Venture 12 jan, 2014 @ 2:48pm
There are a couple of exceptions to this of course. One example would be Bloons Tower Defense 5, which began on PC, then moved over to mobile changing almost nothing besides moving a couple of buttons around, and it's still as fun to play there as it is on PC. I don't know if this game will be like BTD5 in its success, but I don't doubt it will be successful on at least one of its proposed OS's.

This looks really interesting, although in my honest opinion, most games for mobile devices either do well and then don't have a whole lot else they can bring to PC besides graphics, or they totally flop on mobile but when brought to PC boom because of everything that couldn't be done on the mobile version. Minecraft is a good example of the latter. Yes, it sells because of it's name, but it runs like shit because of its controls. An example of the former would be like Jet Pack Joyride. There's almost nothing that could be done with that to have it be successful on PC, not even if it was free. Angry Birds would also fit in that group.

Looks exactly like Zero Gravity in Futurama. Is that where you got the idea?
sammomy 2 jan, 2014 @ 3:02am
One of these great ideas you wonder why nobody really tried it before. Definately interested. Controls will be crucial on this one.

Thanks ;)
@gkurelic - We have many of these features planned, we just wanted to start with a basic pool-like gameplay but extended to 3D.

Here's another idea for PC version, allow steamworkshop for modding and changing the background as well as balls!
gkurelic 3 dec, 2013 @ 3:48pm
Great concept! But now that you've departed from traditional pool why not run with it. Players who play pool games are a niche market, you can probably get more people interested if you added some game modes: bumper mode, trick shot challenges, give certain balls or wall sections special properties. Sky is the limit and yada yada.
BOYCOTT S-T-E-A-M! 3 dec, 2013 @ 12:31am
This looks like a pretty novel game concept. I've never been a fan of pool so I personally won't be buying it, but I certainly will give it an up vote. Looks like a fun game and interesting twist on pool.

@Quon It is possible to rotate the camera freely, without changing shot direction. That i3D is impressive indeed ;) About the fisheye - we use wide field of view for it , not extremely wide though.
Qon 1 dec, 2013 @ 7:15am
@3rdworldgames That video gives me a much better idea of what the game is like, thank you. So aiming seems functional. It qould be even better if you qould move your viewpoint freely. If you want to go the extra mile doing something like would be kinda awesome.
That's not fisheye. The Wiki says: "Fisheye lenses achieve extremely wide angles of view by forgoing producing images with straight lines of perspective (rectilinear images), opting instead for a special mapping [...], which gives images a characteristic convex non-rectilinear appearance." Your image is just a qamera in a qorner. No special mapping and a very normal FOV.

@Qon Here's some raw gameplay if You like to see how aiming lines looks:
When it come to aiming You have to remember that there is one extra dimension which make it tougher and even if it's not enough You can change aiming lines to harder/turn them off or change pockets size to smaller one. In terms of fish eye camera you get something like this:

The gameplay video doesn't show any aiming. It is just qut right before the shot. I have to assume that aiming in this game is done automatiqally or it's so horrible that everyone would downvote if they saw the aiming in the video. Also, isn't it impossible to fail with graphiqal markers that shows that you are going to hit the hole with 100% accuracy? And you didn't provide any sqreenshots of the fisheye so I don't know what projeqtion you are using. Stereographic, orthographic, curvilinear or what? Does that mean we get an extreme field of view angle, like 180-360 degrees?
TheDeadlyJester 30 nov, 2013 @ 11:44am
Taking the concept of Pool and flipping it on its head. It looks like alot of fun and has potential.
