This would have been much more useful as a separate recipe instead of replacing the original one.

I know this mod isn't being updated any more, so this message is a warning for new players looking to try this mod. I wouldn't recommend it, every time I tried to craft one of the farms, it crashed my game.
Arsh Aug 12 @ 7:54am
I agree this should be compatible with base farms. Make it a separate recipe, not replacing the original. :c Love the idea tho.

FYI your improved farm is broken. Everytime i craft it an error occures.

Might want to fix that

@Ronnie, I often get rot when digging up graves. Doesn't help much when one has the no spoil mod, but at least now there is a use for the grave rot.

what if the world have no rot?

There seems to be a problem with this mod. It conflicts with the default Farm Plots by removing them and replacing them. If you can, make the mod COMPATABLE with the default by adding in the default just in case the player DOES have manure but instead has the mod on.

Since there seems to be so much debate over this mod being unfinished and stuff, I'm just going to throw this out there. I came up with a solution to the lack of manure forever ago: craftable manure. 5 rot + 1 nitre = 5 manure. Simple.

stop makeing the game harder every one

vinchenzojackal&soldier@bay, What were the two mods that add something to make the same thing craftable? What I did seems to work, but it feels sketchy. I'd like to make sure I can't do better before I release.
vinchenzojackal&shoon Nov 24, 2013 @ 8:12pm
I'm glad you know how to do everything quick and easy MoxieWhimsy. However ThisGuyIsAwsome has clearly stated he doesn't want to finish this mod, that it is too time consuming for him. Perhaps maybe you can do such a thing yourself and upload it to the workshop. Heck, maybe even give thanks to ThisGuyIsAwsome for the RotFarm idea.

People please stop telling me to duplicate the farmplots, its too much modding for me to figure it out
MoxieWhimsy Nov 17, 2013 @ 2:50pm
OK. I figured out a way to make both Recipes exist by duplicating farmplots. Need to figure out how to fix the recipe image. Other than that it should work.
vinchenzojackal&shoon Nov 12, 2013 @ 4:53pm
It's a shame you don't have the patience to finish this mod, perhaps someday in the distant future you will come back to this mod and add these recipes without removing the present ones. I'll keep this mod in mind, and will always keep hopeful. I have faith you'll get things done. With practice, modders only get better and better and make better and better things!
ThisGuyIsAwsome  [author] Nov 7, 2013 @ 5:51pm
Its some major modding to do that, and i don't have the patience to do that, this mod is for people that haven't found beefalo yet
sevidra Nov 7, 2013 @ 5:27pm
Master, it overrides. It's possible to add a second one, but that's not what this mod does. You can't make the farm plots with manure anymore if you use this mod.
ThisGuyIsAwsome  [author] Oct 24, 2013 @ 3:26pm
Yeah
SFA | Cobrastan Oct 24, 2013 @ 8:46am
I expect that this question has already been asked/answered, but does this mod add the new version add the crafting recipe as well as the old one, or override the old one?
ratgirl34 Oct 23, 2013 @ 6:11pm
It's all good, thanks for looking into it though.

That makes sense vinchen, but I don't know much about coding so I'll just do it the hard way for now.
vinchenzojackal&shoon Oct 22, 2013 @ 11:43pm
You can actually have both manure and rot. I would know because I use two different mods both of which add recipes to make the same thing craftable. You will merely need to duplicate the recipes and objects. Specifically, for this mod it will be slightly more complex, after all duplicating already in game objects with completly new IDs will mean using a lot more coding, but in the long run all you are doing is copying everything involving Farms into new ones. The default game Farms would use Manure, but your Farms created by the duplication trick will use rot. You will also need to duplicate the data for seeds and fertilizing, but that isn't a big deal.
ThisGuyIsAwsome  [author] Oct 22, 2013 @ 8:58pm
Sorry ratgirl but your request can't be done because The farms are already in the game it won't allow me to have the manure and rot, at the same time,no matter what machine
ThisGuyIsAwsome  [author] Oct 22, 2013 @ 8:39pm
I will see what I can do ratgirl
ratgirl34 Oct 22, 2013 @ 8:27pm
After having used this mod, I think I will be turning it on the next time I generate a world in which I have a hard time finding beefalow, because they are amazing manure producers which makes manure far more useful for making farms. However, I think rot will be more efficient than pigmen manure.

I don't know a lot about coding, is there a way to make it so that a player could choose one or the other without having to turn the mod on or off?

I love this mod though. Will be very helpful in maps where the beefalow hide during that all important first summer.
vinchenzojackal&shoon Oct 22, 2013 @ 5:17pm
Well, even if its impossible not to have Manure in any Worlds, this mod is very nice. I like it. It's a good idea to have craftable objects and items with multiple means of being accomplished. After all, with multiple items usable as fertilizer, and fuel sources, why not?
vinchenzojackal&shoon Oct 22, 2013 @ 5:14pm
Rot isn't as effective as Manure in regards to growing plants.
Plus, considering how much Rot can be produced at once, as well as that some people with still have Manure because of Pigmen, Beefalo, Koalaphants, which all produce Manure, it might be fair to make it so that the recipes have a higher Rot cost to craft. Now that I think of it, it's not possible for a world to not have Manure through any means without extreme modding...
Stevenpyper12 Oct 21, 2013 @ 3:53pm
sure do ,didnt want to start today because i wasnt sure if you where ok with it
