people had the same problem with the holy mackerel when it was released too. lowering the graphics settings may help a little, if you want to avoid using the console.

it is powered by jigglebones. the default setting of the game disables jigglebones when your framerate dips below 45fps. here is the code to change it:

cl_jiggle_bone_framerate_cutoff 1

simply type it in console ("~" key) to set the cutoff to 1 instead of 45. (DO NOT USE 0, IT DISABLES JIGGLEBONES) if you want to revert the change later, the default number is 45.

if you want the game to start with that code every time, you can paste that same code into autoexec.cfg.

autoexec.cfg is located in SteamApps/common/team fortress 2/tf/cfg in your steam file directory, and if it doesn't exist, you can create one with notepad. open notepad, paste the code, then simply save it as file type "all files" and name "autoexec.cfg"

@Knusperfrosch i did try a yellower tint but the eyes blended in a little more than i preferred. as for the wings, if they flap with higher frequency they lose amplitude, this is a drawback for using jiggle bones instead of an animation file to move the wings. the jiggle bone is physics simulation and as such are somewhat limited by the laws of physics.

That'sa great, lifelike flying animation, one of the best if not the best I've seen of all the bats in the Workshop so far!
@heinous: Is it possible, though, to increase the flapping frequency of the bat wings? Crow looks fine.

This one definitely is not a vampirebat. Looks a bit like a fruitbat to me. Only sad thing is that the coloration is so drab (maybe make it a bit more pale-goldenblonde?) But the fur shading is good, very realistic.

You know what? This should be a special taunt- you know, like the, "Meet the Medic" taunt, but instead you get deep-orange light, and bats come flying out from behind you, rather than doves.
