just finished part 1! VERY well done for a part 1 of a puzzle map! <3 one thing I would have liked to see, is dialogue, or background music or even ambient sound, but i have never made a map before so, I dunno how hard it is. it just seems the map is too quiet. but other than that <3

Reminds me of that short live action film with a woman imprisoned in room pretty much like this and tries to excape with a portal gun

Well worth the time developing and this justifies inventing more for it to evolve.There is a subtle sense of uncertainty at play which is very creative when incorporated into the adventure.Great subtle mood changes too with simple but interesting eye candy.

This is what Portal should be all about - forget test after test just put me in a 'room escape' situation and throw in a hazard or two - 8/10. 10/10 if it has a story line and a few jump scares (nothing too extreme - just the odd turret like you had). Great effort :-)

I enjoyed it. Well crafted. The way to the next area is skillfully placed out with some doors and openings that hint for another direction. This part took me five minutes and I am interested to see what the second part can produce.

I love singleplayer maps but would've preferred more puzzles. Cause this jail is too easy to escape from. A 1 year old with mere crawling abilities could escape this place.

@Dogman15: There is a hidden shaft in the dark room, where the end-shaft is also. It's behind desk hidden by some boxes and the desk itself

Yes, I'm working on part 2 already. I'm almost done, I only have to insert some sounds/music, lightings and optimizing. I think I would release it today or tomorrow probably...

I pressed and examined everything I could. Doors wouldn't open when jiggled, no portals formed on their own, and no alternate routes opened up. I didn't even see any other possible routes when noclipping outside the map. And I wasn't about to just skip to the final room, no, that would be going too far. Also, are you working on part 2?
