@edjeedje the mission was made a long time ago even before helicopters DLC and was not updated since. I will come back to it in future but not sure when that will be. Thank you for trying it out and any feedback will be considered and possibly implemented when updating.

From what I saw, this mission looks promising. But unfortunately after I secured the hilltop observation post I did not get any further mission orders; so it stopped for me there.
And why does my team talk like Donald Duck or in slow motion :steamfacepalm:.
I'll certainly try again tomorrom; thanks.

UPDATE: Started working on second mission, took some time but i had too much work to do. Stay tuned for updated version of first mission and early versions of second.

P.S. the mission is unchanged from outpost forth. Main focus of this update was performance at start and new features.

Hey guys, i haven't been all that much focusing on my mission edit lately, but i'm back now. i've adjusted this mission to have better performance and hopefully beter gameplay value. I've added MP support and unit names + voices. I admit this is my first time doing this so i went overboard, if you don't like anything feel free to comment so i can edit/adjust it accordingly. Thank you for your support and hope you like this and can enjoy this with your friends now.

i like the mission so far, however i am unable to open crates at bases/towns. this heavily dampens the ability to properly stick it to the enemy.

Jak už někdo psal přede mnou, skutečně je to taková ta "má první mise". Myslím si, že ten nápad, na kterém je postavená by po nějakých zkušenostech vynikl mnohem lépe. Třeba ten boj o benzínku se mi velmi líbil, přišla mi hezky vystavěná s přidanými objekty, jednotkami. Špatné je, že jsem ji kvůli nevybalancovanosti mise musel dobývat sám! Co mi nejvíc vadí je nejspíš absence pořádného briefingu a tasků. Dále bych hlášky typu "The outpost on the hill is heavily defended" předělal do radiového hlášení z HQ nebo tak něco. Když se mi to najednou vyplivne doprostřed obrazovky, tak úplně nevim, co si o tom mám myslet. Dále tu jsou takové maličkosti jako že přistávající vrtulníky jsou u sebe příliš blízko, což vypadá divně a nerealisticky, nebo gramatické chyby v textech. Zkus poprosit Tomáše, jestli by ti na to nemrknul. Jinak v klidu, žádnej učenej z nebe nespadl. ;)

Good try but there are several main elements you are missing.
1. performance, the sence at the begin eventually causes frams drop. If you want to make a very cool scale fight, try to delte the wrecks to increase some frame rates.
2.Info, you MUST told player what to do in the mission with clear information. Else player will have to run around like headless chicken seeking for what to do.
3.Balance, in this mission either our apc do the jobs in the airfield or our squad get killed by overwhelm APCs. Making an intensive battle isn't all about the scale. May be a simple ambush could simply done the job.
4.Invovle some scripting/trigger/models, make your battlefield dynamic! Spawn some enemy via trigs, or make a nasty IED suprise. Simply putting some waypoint and units wouldn't make impressive mission.

This is a really low quality mission, I have no idea why it's so popular.
No tasks, terrible AI scripts, bad waypoints, slow reacting triggers.

Don't understand what's happen! I was waiting with what was left of the squad by the gas station and all of the sudden get a message that enemy's are holding the gas station. Plenty of enemy's and vehicle spawn out of thin air destroying the rest of the squad I was able to hide for a few more second but I was alone against 20 soldiers and 2 vehicles! No chance to live!!!

So great mission! Will definitely get the next part when you release it. I really liked how the friendly APC's shot at the enemy camp.

Some adjustments I would like to see:

* Enemy AI seems bit unresponsive at some points of the map, just standing and slowly rotating. Something to make it more interesting
* captions in the middle of the screen, really distracting, could be used as some kind of nice hint?

Mise ma velky potencial, ale par veci bys mel upravit podle me, treba pri vysadku se mi stalo, ze se vrtulniky "zamotali" do sebe a mise skoncila jeste drive nez zacla, mozna by si mel dat LZka trosku dal od sebe. Navic dobyvani jakehokoliv vrsku, kde na druhe strane ceka nepritel je v Arme 3 hodne bolestive a nejvic je to videt v samotnych scenarich od BISky konkretne v Infantry a Armed Assault. Nemohl bys treba misto jedne velke skupiny to rozdelit do tri fire teamu a nechat je zautocit ze tri smeru ? Nejsem si uplne jistej jakej tam mas rezim, ale pri kontaktu s nepritelem je podle me nejlepsi poklek a "combat" rezim. Uplne nejlepsi by bylo, kdyby si dal vedeni skupiny hraci a dal jeden z tech APCcek pod jeho veleni, aby nebyli tak impotentni, ale chapu, ze to pak ta "vyzva" mozna zmizi. :)
mise je fajn a je jedna z tech lepsich a moje kritika jsou spis uz takove detaily jenom, jinak se mi mise libila, ale bylo debilni na kopci prijit o vsechny bojovniky a cistit benzinku sam :)

Taková ta typická "moje první mise". Chtělo by to víc zapojit do ekosystému, co Arma nabízí. Jinak z hlediska designu mise je podle mne co vylepšovat. Asi bych si zajistil výsadek, ať se nestává, že ti rozsekají půlku týmu dřív než vrtulník dosedne na zem. Dobývat ten vršek, když máš navíc dva poslední lidi v týmu už není zrovna zábava. Vypadá taky divně, když se ti uprostřed boje na kopci objeví vojáci, kteří si tam vykračují v klidovém režimu. Čistit prostor kolem benzínky se mi dvakrát teda nechtělo a moc mi nedávalo smysl, proč tam jít. Navíc v hlášce (použij raději radiové hlášky) bylo něco o tom, jak je silně bráněna, ale já narazil na celkem snad tři, čtyři obránce. Oblast mi celkově prázdná... přišlo mi, že s AI v týmu jsme poslední dva vojáci na Stratisu. Nicméně jsem si misi užil a dohrát ji byla docela výzva, zvlášť při těch podmínkách (déšť, tma). Další díl rád zkusím.

1. Was on top of the hill, when it autosaved and the soldiers spawned.
2. Game autosaves and imediately after that I got shot in the back.
3. Maybe it is more fun without the rain.

Good mission. I really liked it. Though not your fault, my AI team just recklessly stormed the enemy base. I was all that was left of my team.

Very promising start, fairly straight forward without being too obvious.
I did find on a couple occasions an APC would carelessly run down a few squad members.

Thanks, when i add tasks i'll get rid of those hints. As for the helis, they land kinda randomly so i can't, at the moment, exactly point them in one direction for landing.

good intro, just a couple of points...can you change the direction that the heli uses for approach as when I landed three of my squad had been killed and remainder were injured(Black Hawk Down style) and can you possibly think about not informing us of the outpost at the top of the hill(kinda spoilt the suprise) but overall an enjpyable mission, keep it up!!! :)

Finally fixed steam download issues, intromusic is different from what i wanted but it is sufficient i guess. I will take any suggestions into consideration for future missions, thanks for your feed back.
