This whole matter was MY FAULT. I am sorry for driving you crazy. I used an gamemodes_server.txt generator and the output file called up the wrong models. I am so sorry about this. Its an excellent map and I'm happy to be able to use it on my server.

Everything listed under "ct_models" is what is used for the CTs. These models aren't even custom, they are the official SWAT skins.

That would be the case, since any custom content you had before was removed, which may have included additional mounted content. Do you know which models that CT's should be using? Clearly they are something custom, but which models did the map creator use?


I fyou can give me more detail perhaps my host can fill-in whats missing.

hrm. I'll see what can be done. We did just wipe and reinstall the server. Perhaps something the map needed was lost in the wipe. Thaks for trying though.

I've taken a look at your server and see the problem. The only way my map has influence on this is said .kv file. I've just created a testmap that uses the same .kv file ar_chess uses and I don't have any problems. I'm sorry, but I can't reproduce it. Heipau wrote (in German) that he is hosting the map as well - I've connected to his server, everything works there. This has to be somewhere on your end.

A few more people from my community have reported those Error panels. It appears that its only the CTs that are effected. The T's look just fine. If you need to see whats happening you're welcome to take a look, 66.150.155.161:27015

Does it affect all CTs or only some or just one of them? The only thing I can think of is an ar_chess.kv file located in you csgo/maps folder that has invalid models set especially for this map. But you shouldn't have such a file, it's inside the BSP and surely won't spread from there or even alter its content.

Unfortunately, downloading the map again and uploading hasn't helped. The ERROR sheets move and appear to be the CT's? Perhaps its a local issue. I'll remove the content and let my computer download it again.

I just tested it on a clean CS:GO install and didn't have any problems. Has your server downloaded the newest version automatically or have you uploaded a version that you downloaded once? Because there was an update I made that caused the error you have, but I made another update that fixed it.

I really enjoy your map. Its probably one of the most voted for maps on our server. However, after a reinstall of cs:go and an uploading of all the maps we had, I'm getting moving red and black panels comprised of the word ERROR moving about the screen. I've deleted the map and re-uploaded it, the problem is still there. Is there anything else you can recommend. You've made an aesthetically and strategically great map and I'd really rather not have to lose it on our server. Well done!

The problem has been fixed. Update 4 is out:
- fixed models being shown entirely black
- fixed a visible seam between red and black floor tiles

I've managed to upload the new version. Here's the changelog.

Update 3
- added buyzones
- removed a T-Spawn in the CT-Spawn area
- re-enabled realtime shadows (they had been disabled by accident in the previous update)
- re-enabled rain particle effects (they had been disabled by accident in the previous update)
- again adjusted some floor plates to keep the player from stucking

The "Buyzone Update" ist done since two days now, but it seems I can't upload it. I get an Error 16 every time I try. I've no idea what causes it and how to solve it. Google says this has something to do with my internet connection. I've tried restarting my router, modem, Steam, PC and verifying game and SDK integrity, nothing helps :/

Gratitude is expressed by messaging the author and saying "great work!" not by taking it and doing whatever you want with it. It's the normal polite thing to do in civilised worlds to ask an author before copying his or her work. And if they do not agree, you just DONT DO IT. Don't be a child if somebody says no.

I have absolutely no problem with sharing the things I create, there are plenty of ways to do so. If you like this map, spread the word. Share the link on Twitter, Facebook, G+ or what ever platform you like. But from what I personally have experienced so far, many people like to adore themselves with borrowed plumes and don't care that much about the author.

Another thing is the problem of keeping files up to date. If the map stays here in the workshop, I can be sure every one who plays it plays the newest version. If I update it and somebody uploaded it somewhere else, there are two different versions and you start to lose track of it. As long as people only link to the workshop, all the problems above can be avoided.

@Orbins: I have to split my answer up, as there is a character limit.

It always depends on the way it's done. Over the past years I had many cases where people claimed my work as their own. There was even a guy who reuploaded a Quake 3 map I made and wrote in the description that this map was made by him and I had helped him a little bit. I didn't even know the guy. For the same map, I received an email some other time where someone wanted to modify the level. I explained him the same thing I am writing now, and he answered that he doesn't give a f**k about it and will just decompile it and do what ever he wants, because that's how things work in Russia, as he said.
