The puzzles I created are from the first Beta of Contraption Maker on Steam. That was over 4 years ago and used the assets available at the time. I was thrilled to see a spiritual successor to The Incredible Machine and wanted to show support for the Contraption Maker Development Team by creating the puzzles. To let them know the work they were putting into Contraption Maker Beta was worth seeing to completetion.

I'm happy to see what Contraption Maker has become and the communtiy that has grown to support it. While my 4 year old puzzles may have not aged well, many new creators have made new and better puzzles. The only thing left for my puzzles is to serve as a testament of beginning for Contraption Maker.

I think you have the wrong idea about how to form good puzzles. It depends on a few things if the creative alternative solution should be valid. If the creative alternative solution is easier to execute than the intended logic, it fails to be a good puzzle, which is my solution. However, if you have to go out of your way to exploit it, then the creative alternative solution could stand. Read up on one of the guides created by one of the developers:

It wouldn't be a proper puzzle if it didn't allow for more creative solutions. :)

Tennis ball and punching fist bypasses everything. Needed assistance from trampolines.
