Does this make it so shields have 100% pysical block?
BAZELgeese 2.2.2021 klo 9.58
i really really want blocking while also having magic. like having a one handed sword in one hand you can block with and being able to cast magic in the other.
Woke Of Regret 13.3.2018 klo 16.37
Would realy like to see blocking with dual weapons!
Metalhead1652 25.12.2014 klo 17.11
this is a very good mod to have since I like roleplaying a high defense super strong character! (unfortunately defense and offense are like mixing piss with german chocolate cake, the end result is one delays death and the other comes down to how fast you can kill the opponent!)

I would say if youre going to add a spell resistant perk or change a spell resistant perk, Ide reccomend adding a level to it that made it 100% to all spells. I mean if you think about it, how does fire, ice, or electricity somehow go through solid metal. Also it makes it more badass fighting dragons and holding your ground with your shield infront of you midst getting engulfed in flames.

Shield bash with a chance on hit to knockdown. This would be awesome.

I'm sure theres a way, just gotta mess with it some.
HolyKris 11.9.2013 klo 11.22
@krallen7 ok then so let's search for someone who know what u think about this? u can check for guys on nexus maybe someone can help?
Torunuir  [tekijä] 8.9.2013 klo 11.43
@jack thats an interesting thought.. @hollyKris I totally understand; I am of the same opinion. I hadnt thought of doing that, but i can see if there is a way.

maybe make blocking useful against spell i mean it give u some protection more then without any blocking and weapons can't block spells shield can but only some % of dmg and it should make area behind u safe from dmg from any shield arrows perk should be already from begining it's realy annoying when u keep dying from arrows and u ca't block them cuz this don't give u any effect

I was thinking, is it possible to make it so that power bashes push back low level enemies like a weaker Fus Ro Dah shout? It would be cool and not overpowered as i mean that to happen only to enemies many levels lower than you, the ones that you would kill with 1 weapon swing... Anyways the mod is great, i was looking for a mod like this:D

Could you post a picture of the new block tree please
Torunuir  [tekijä] 6.9.2013 klo 3.18
That would take some time as I currently am unaware of how to create an animation or implement it into skyrim via the creation kit. I can try, but Im not sure how well that will work.
SirSlaughter357 5.9.2013 klo 10.14
It would be awsome if you could add new animations for those of us who train in block but with our swords, and weapons. I know I like to get block up to 100 but I only ever train certain perks that aren't limited to shields. It would be cool if you could implement 4 different animations to for weapons blocking for the different directions of an incoming attack kinda like M&B:Warband which has a animation for an overhead block and then to the left and right and then one to parry a thrust. Just saying.
The Werbinator 4.9.2013 klo 22.48
My suggestion- put it on the Nexus.
Torunuir  [tekijä] 4.9.2013 klo 22.08
Thanks guys for the feedback and encouraging remarks. @Kyngian I can see what I can do, but it will take a bit as there is a lot more to that than simply a tweak, but I can try and see if I can do that. @HolyAdos Same, as of yet I only saw one number to tweak, but I can go in and see if I can make that a little bit more specfic as you suggested. Thanks for the head's up on the balance as well, helps me get a better idea of what works for different gameplay styles. As I have time, I can look into it!

When I saw the block drop chance increased my initial though was "that makes sense for a mace where the weight is in the top it might jerk out of their hand but it would have to be a pretty powerful strike" so maybe you should lower it back to %50 for 2 handed and raise it for swords (balanced mostly) and then more for axes (rather unbalanced weight) and then %85 for maces (really unbalanced) I mean it sounds tough but it would add realism? meh... I don't use sheilds anyway so I don't care if you add it or not, just a thought.

The damage is a bit overpowered, maybe lower it to 7x or 8x? Also add somthing that can deflect magic kind of and maybe add a texture thing that shows up when you deflect magic but make it balanced so that you can increase the amount of magic damage you can deflect up to 150 and after it breaks a peak it takes a certain time to recharge so at the begining you deflect up to 25 damage and the recharge time is somthing like 5 second and then so on so it's balanced out and feels normal, also make it so that it drains your magica whenever you do that elemental thing to make it feel even more normal and stuff. If you implented this it would make it cooler and great mod by the way! Add as much stuff as you can think into this blocking mod!!!
Torunuir  [tekijä] 1.9.2013 klo 20.15
oh. ive messed with it a bit but i might add something.
Zak Murdoch 1.9.2013 klo 15.32
Oh well, if you've never tried magic it would be hard to explain :P Spellshields use Spellbreaker or the Shield of Solitude predominantly. The only use their main hand for casting magic, ie destruction, summoning, illusion to confuse enemies, heal themselves. the only spells they mast cast with two hands is their shielding spells, the "flesh" spells. I had always thought that because I was using two hands I needed more from what the buff of using both hands offered, not wanting to put down my shield.
Basically if you could find a way to tie spells like Oakflesh, Stoneflesh, Ironflesh etc into the block skill tree, for example "While a Flesh spell is active, the block skill is 20% more effective".
I dunno, something to think about.
Torunuir  [tekijä] 1.9.2013 klo 11.54
I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to. I am not a big magic player, so I'm not familiar with all the terminology.
Zak Murdoch 1.9.2013 klo 3.01
I'm not sure exactly how, but I'd like to see some kind of perk that aids Spellshield builds. Maybe something to do with flesh spells gaining a buff whilst blocking?
Torunuir  [tekijä] 30.8.2013 klo 18.18
I understand ya man. That is a good idea. I might do that.
Mortus_VanDerHell 28.8.2013 klo 23.26
Very cool mod. Shields are in a real fight a very big help which can save your life and in Skyrim... let's say, they are optional.
It is possible to make a perk in this mod to change the health-damage by using shields, if an enemy attack the shield, to stamina-damage ?
Because being attacked and using a shield in a real fight make you tired and don't hurt you.

Please forgive my bad english. It's not my native language. >.<
Torunuir  [tekijä] 28.8.2013 klo 21.26
I see your point. Looking at SPERG's block changes offhand it looks fine to me as they seem to have left most of the perks normal, though they did combine a couple. I'm not using it, so I don't know if it will be compatable. However, if you choose to try it, (which I hope you do!), please let me know how it goes!
zaltene 28.8.2013 klo 16.42
So was this mod xD Only reason I'm not using it is because I have SPERG and I'm afraid they will conflict, you know?
Torunuir  [tekijä] 28.8.2013 klo 7.38
Thanks! I can try and see if I can edit individual shield stats. That's a really good idea.
zaltene 28.8.2013 klo 5.50
Orcish shield would probably be big on bleeding damage, right? Also, I think that at 100% block effectiveness it's armor rating would not matter so... idk. I'm tired and I just dropped by to say this is a pretty cool idea.
