Do not use wall texture on the floor! It looks so awful.

Could use work on the textures (more variety for the floor and ceiling in particular) and lighting (light strips or something instead of ust light entities), but other than that the map isn't bad.

Point of confusion: there is no hard light shield in the first room, contrary to the signage. Second, it's not clear that there are flip panels above the turrets (possibly due to the all-around bright lighting).

Hi. Here is my blind play of your map. Check the video description to find your part.

KLJF22, There is a difference between a difficult map, and a punishing one. As Bayram explained in maybe a bit too much detail, this map is INCREDIBLY punishing, and unintuitive at best. There were many points in the map that were hard to navigate even after i had "cleared" them. And finally, my breaking point, you had to comlete the puzzels within a time limit of each other. So, no. I did not "beat" the level by your standards, but i refuse to wade through chambers i've allready completed just to unlock a black screen. That's just work.

OK, now I've watched the walkthrough and see the intended solution to puzzle 1. Not knowing about the flip panels above the turrets, I put down orange gel and rushed the button. If I hit the button but did not get back out in time, this is where I would restore to a fatal position and get killed again . I made this mistake on one of my maps : Don't autosave when the player may be in a fatal position, even if that isn't your intent. Perhaps the portalable wall just ouside the turret room appears when I step into the turret room? There is no need for that as you can see plenty of other white wall panels to get back out.

By the way, your other map is pretty good and I gave both parts thimbs up.

So, the reason I did not like this puzzle was that it was not fun to play, requiring a lot of work to figure out which of the possible things was right and which were wrong and not rewarding the player for apparently good progress. I think that there are construction defects : the suddenly portalable surface, the badly placed autosave and the gaps under the fizzlers through which I was able to place portals to climb the tower in puzzle 2 .

Puzzle 2 : This seemed very easy and in no time I was at the top. I expected pressing the button to open the door for long enough for me to go back and hit the puzzle 2 button again, but the timer is very short. So, indeed, I have to do puzzle 1 first and then I have only a short time for puzzle 2. This was impossible. Then, I noticed a side room that I had not been into. So both puzzles can be solved by unintended methods, the second of which can not be done in the required time limit. This is when my frustration peaked. But, I went at puzzle 2 again and found the intended solution, which I was able to complete in the time limit on the second try.

Puzzle 1 : I was working at this when I noticed that the wall facing into the slot through which you can see the turret room had become portalable. I have no idea why this happened, which was unsatisfying, but the puzzle was easy enough from that point. I know that there is another area that leads to a pedestal button high up in the turret room, and I went there on the second playthough, but it was not necessary and I did not like that. If I got killed by the turrets when pressing the pedestal button that opens the exit door, I would sometimes find the game restored to that point and immediately get killed again. Anyway, I discovered that having pressed this button, I had about 45 seconds to solve puzzle 2 and get out of the exit.

I spent over an hour at this map and finally beat it but I have to say it was not really fun and I'm giving it thumbs down. I will, of course, try to explain why, but it will probably take more than one comment.

Interesting map. The run part has to be discover, no clue at first. Nice map. Try one of mine Maybe .''Denis'' or ''Mark'' or ''Katie'' Raycelbelmond

Your puzzle can benefit from magnet portals. The part where you run to the aerial faith plate, that part is very wonky and I died several times, mostly due to autosaving midflight.

Why the two pedestal buttons are on a timer is unknown by me but it takes away from the puzzle. Just have them permanently enabled once activated.

Try my map?
