Probably a conflict with another mod that alters the startup quest. Follow the steps in the troubleshooting section of the mod description.

You can still travel there, but the Dragonborn quest might start. The FAQ has more information.

How if im not a dragonborn and only want to visit Solsteim?
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 15 Μαϊ @ 8:04πμ
Good luck!

Steam breaks everything... But thanks for the advice :D It's an honor talking to the creator of one of the best mods ever.
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 14 Μαϊ @ 7:19μμ
Okay, I took a look at the mod page. I'm guessing there's a Workshop problem. You might want to try downloading SkyUI from the Nexus instead.
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 14 Μαϊ @ 7:16μμ
SKSE has been at 1.7.2 beta for a while, which I also know works. There's no reason for anything to suddenly be broken...
Darkforcefilms 14 Μαϊ @ 6:01μμ
I thought it had something to do with SKSE, everyone on the mod page said they had problems. Or maybe im just a noob :P
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 14 Μαϊ @ 5:08μμ
SkyUI hasn't been updated past 4.1 in years. Trust me, it still works. You've screwed up your installation somehow.
Darkforcefilms 14 Μαϊ @ 2:38μμ
SkyUI no longer works. I will use this, but i do miss the old days of the SkyUI menu :(

This is the one mod I cannot live without. If I were stuck on a desert island with only one mod, I would choose it over the unofficial patches.
Vestrivan 5 Μαϊ @ 5:47μμ
I'm late to the party. Sorry your comments section became contentious! This sounds like an amazing mod. It's not everyday I read up on a mod that adds this much to the replayability of a game as time-consuming as Skyrim. I'm usually completely done with such a game after one playthrough, but this mod is already part of my plan to continue the fun!
Nukem962001 3 Μαϊ @ 5:25μμ
Any word on 5.5?

Hi, I Have a Huge problem. I start the Game I use MCM TO get my character where i want, also set Absorb dragon souls On and such. However, I just killed a dragon and did not absorb it's soul. This prevents me from starting the main questline.
nuckchorrisrex 28 Απρ @ 10:12μμ
if anybody else is sort of annoyed by the "incomplete quest objective" type this in the console

This mod is badass. Haven't ran into any problems. :)
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 26 Απρ @ 5:28μμ
You shouldn't need to use console commands to get it going; using the console to start or advance any major questline is almost bound to cause problems down the road, though not the ones you're describing.
Andy Pipkin 26 Απρ @ 4:43μμ
in all, i would say its mainly the constant use of the console that causes issues, especially because I'm starting a full DLC's worth of quests, i think the save could become unstable and break, although i dont care as its been pretty funny and that is only a mod testing save. also i had to spawn in the shouts necessary to complete the quests.
Andy Pipkin 26 Απρ @ 4:43μμ
I've started the quest line through the console, i cant start or finish each quest without using it, I haven't done anything to preserve the save like back ups, I'm pretty sure its taking a toll on the save as many wierd things happen like flying horses, (tried to get a screenshot but it was fast, also i was laughing really hard). I've also had some NPC's like the rederan guards and the first time you meet miraak, the dialogue doesn't play, had to turn on the subtitles. although those issues can occur by excesive use of the console, also I'm using around 110 mods so it could be another mod messing up from the console use. I'm not too far in either, just finished the "Clearing the Stones" quest.
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 26 Απρ @ 3:05μμ
Actually, it would be helpful if you did and were able to let me know. Thanks!
Andy Pipkin 23 Απρ @ 7:21μμ
Thanks Chinagreenelvis, just wanted to make sure it wouldn't destroy my good save, I'm now tempted to try the questline on a bad save and see what happens :), thanks for the help!
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 23 Απρ @ 8:27πμ
Andy Pipkin: The dragonborn questline can still be started even if you choose to play as a non-Dragonborn character. The effects of continuing to play as a non-Dragonborn during the quest are unknown; it is recommended that you either switch your character to Dragonborn once the quest begins or use a mod like Timing is Everything [] to postpone it indefinitely.
Andy Pipkin 23 Απρ @ 2:41πμ
I'm loving this mod, but i have a small question. I started a new game awhile ago and made myself not be the dragonborn, is it still possible to start the dragonborn DLC questline or not??

cybersmack 21 Απρ @ 7:25πμ
Okay, thanks very much! Great mod!
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 20 Απρ @ 3:20μμ
Yes. The MCM has descriptions for each option.
cybersmack 20 Απρ @ 9:15πμ
@Chinagreenelvis - Yeah I downloaded SkyUI and I think I changed it. If I want to enable random dragon spawns should I choose "Walls and spawns" ?
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 19 Απρ @ 6:23μμ
cybersmack: If you use SkyUI, you can use the MCM to change options in-game. If you do not have SkyUI, there is a options power given to your character. If you have neither, read the FAQ.
cybersmack 19 Απρ @ 5:06μμ
Hey, I've played with this mod for quite a while and really enjoy the flexibility it allows within the game.

At the start of this playthrough I chose to disable random dragon spawns, but now wish for them to be re-enabled. How can I do this? Thanks.
Nukem962001 18 Απρ @ 2:19μμ
@Chinagreenelvis: No problem, and thank you for the awesome mod.

I've had this mod for quit a while and I love it. But every time I create a character, it has an iron helmet on no matter what type of head covereing I choose. Am I doing something wrong? It's hard to see the hair and nose with the helmet on. I have a hair mod. Could this be the problem?
Playshay710 18 Απρ @ 8:56πμ
Hey when I started a new save it did the intro with the charater heading to helgan. Is this suppose to happen and if not hwo do i fix this?
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 17 Απρ @ 10:55μμ
Nukem962001: That actually is a possibility, and a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion!
Nukem962001 17 Απρ @ 8:15μμ
Would it be possible to add an option for time of day to start my game at? If so would you be willing to add that feature to the mod?
macadamstreet 16 Απρ @ 10:27μμ
oh sweet . my bad didnt have see it before :/ sorry
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 16 Απρ @ 9:48μμ

chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 15 Απρ @ 3:16μμ
The only thing killing a dragon will do is start the main quest when you absorb the soul. The best way to test out changes to the mod is to start a new game, obviously, but most problems are the result of a wrong load order.

Any changes you make to dragons in the Skyrim Unbound MCM should have immediate effect, meaning that if you turn on walls and spawns and then switch back to staggered, it will remove dragons and re-initiate the delay system I scripted. As for non-Dragonborn shouts, you generally have to fast-travel away from a word wall and back again for it to kick in.

But yes, a lot of information is in the change notes and discussions tabs.
YamiMarik1994 15 Απρ @ 2:36μμ
Once again, I'm an idiot. Deleted my last comment because I went to Falkreath and screwed around, then a dragon spawned. Don't know what changed this time, had to be because I killed the dragon at Bonestrewn Crest.
YamiMarik1994 15 Απρ @ 2:15μμ
Nevermind, I'm an idiot, I should be reading the change notes and discussion tabs. Sorry for all the trouble, I'm not at all used to using the Steam Workshop.
YamiMarik1994 15 Απρ @ 1:45μμ
Okay, after some testing, I've run into another issue. I still have Words and Spawns set, and I have the spawn time for dragons set to 1 day in between with Timing is Everything, set my timescale to what you did, and nothing is happening; no dragons or anything are spawning. Because I had Staggered Delay on for so long, do I have to kill a dragon at a Word Wall first to get the random spawns to trigger? The game is a lot more boring without the dragons around.
YamiMarik1994 15 Απρ @ 5:59πμ
Okay, thank you, I figured that's how it worked. Thank you for putting so much hard work into this mod.
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 14 Απρ @ 11:25μμ
The staggered delay works in accordance with the parameters set in the extra options menu. I tested it by hanging out at a word wall and then setting the timescale to something like 50000. It first turns on word wall dragons, then eventually random dragon spawns.

The "walls and spawns" setting turns on both automatically. You'll get dragons at word walls and random dragon attacks. Nothing in the mod directly affects the way the random dragon attacks work so it's fully compatible with others that do, like Deadly Dragons or Timing is Everything.

In order for a non-Dragonborn player to learn shouts, you simply check the "non-Dragonborn shouts" option in the main MCM menu.
YamiMarik1994 14 Απρ @ 10:13μμ
That was it. Fixed when updated. Now I do have one other question related to the recent version of this mod and how it handles the dragons. I assumed the new Delay features you added worked the same way as the previous versions and as such, having it set to "Walls and Spawns" would have the Word Walls active so you could get the power words; I can see this wasn't the case, although the MCM description is sparse on the details (The description here hasn't been updated to reflect these changes as far as I can see), so I had it set to Staggered Delay and just went with it.

Well, after having gone almost a month in-game without seeing one dragon, I did some testing and went to Bonestrewn Crest where a dragon always spawns; it wasn't there. When I turned Walls and Spawns on, the dragon appeared. So...since I turned Walls and Spawns on, will dragons start spawning at Word Walls and randomly in the world, or is my save screwed and I won't see any dragons at all for the duration of my game?
chinagreenelvis  [Δημιουργός] 14 Απρ @ 11:57πμ
The Dragonborn quest has not been edited by Skyrim Unbound, so it will begin as normal. I suggest you use a mod like Timing is Everything to set additional requirements.
macadamstreet 14 Απρ @ 10:27πμ
this look interresting for me ( i not want restart again and again the same way to kill the dragon , save people, and still be a shit guy in middle of uncapacited people ask for small shit).
gonna try it and start as a classic mercenary ^^

i just have 1 question. how it affect the dragonborn quest ? specially the dragonborn main quest. do the guys come speak to me when i reach level 10-15 or do i need to travel to solstheim ? (boat/travel already unlocked and directly talk to solstheim peoples for "activate" the dragonborn dlc main quest)
i know this situation probably look weird as non dragonborn character, but whatever, i can beat this ^^

thanks for the quick response!

spiket31: No, there should be no conflicts.
