Hello floa, sorry for the late reply, I had not noticed your post. I've been busy making another video game, which I have released just a couple of days ago (it's called MAH, and it's a sequel of Huenison, but it's for the C64 - if you're curious, have a look at its page on CSDb []). I'm still a bit busy with other things, but I'm going to look into getting Huenison on Steam ASAP. I can't make promises though.

Any update on when the game will be available for Steam?

Kid Icarus: thanks for buying and the heads-up! Have fun!

Nameless Bob: the game is complete already - and, at the time of writing, as you can see from Kid Icarus' post, you can also get it for just a buck ;)

Seems promissing!

Thanks for trying and your honest opinion. Yes, thinking is needed - quick thinking, even. One has to learn all the aspects of the game and to build strategies. Of course, it's something that needs to grow step by step, while having fun. In the end, the achievement pleasure is great.
I do understand that it's not everybody's cup of tea, though (just like for any other game).
delmonti007 Jun 21, 2014 @ 11:18am
Just tried the demo and inpressed. Allthough, not for me, too much thinking needed.
541M0  [author] Jun 6, 2014 @ 12:00pm
Well, the game starts very slow and easy to let the player get acquainted with the mechanics. Then it becomes more and more complex, of course ;)
If you want to try how it feels, just grab the demo, which will let you try the first 5 levels -

I don't think I could stand playing this for longer than 10 minutes, it looks just too crazy...But I can understand if someone enjoys this. The voice at the beginning of the trailer startled me

Unfortunately I have no experience with redeeming Steam keys through Desura or IndieGameStand, but looking at the allowed formats of Steam keys, it seems perfectly possible to use identical keys.
Elfangorax Mar 31, 2014 @ 12:29pm
Hi there. I was wondering how Steam keys for this game from IndieGameStand will be distributed if the game gets Greenlit? Will the Steam key be completely distinct from the Desura key, or will it only be accessible from the user's Desura collection?
541M0  [author] Mar 31, 2014 @ 10:16am

Now I've watched also the demo session: enjoyed it so much that I shared the game session on Facebook ;)
Thatnks again, and have lots of fun!
541M0  [author] Mar 31, 2014 @ 9:48am
Hey ruddyadam, thanks a looot!!! I actually happened to stumble upon the streaming, so I watched some half an hour of it and enjoyed immensely seeing you making progress, having fun... and mentally cursing at Huenison/me :D
Advice to fully enjoy the game: read the instructions in the menu scrolltext (left/right to pause/accelerate) or, even better, in the manual - just as an example: the death line ("zapper") comes down 1 step each miss, not depending on the frequency of shooting ;)
Once you know all the pieces, all the bonuses, all the twists, you'll start building strategies and reach levels of satisfaction never reached before (and, course, progress further in the game)!
ruddyadam Mar 30, 2014 @ 7:47pm
For our Saturday stream, the Streaminators picked up the confusing, frustrating, awesome, and addicting Huenison demo and had a blast with it! Liked it so much, we got the full game and streamed an hour more of it.
Thanks for making a great game, 541M0!

The shenanigans can be viewed here:

That double "crazy" is definitely well deserved :D
Yskar Mar 28, 2014 @ 12:51pm
Awesome crazy game! I LOVED THAT CRAZY GAME!
541M0  [author] Mar 28, 2014 @ 11:19am

No plans for the moment being.

Glad you like the soundtrack :)
If you feel attracted, just dedicate some minutes to the demo: it's a not a game you master immediately, but that you learn little by little... and the discovery process goes on for long, giving you lots of surprises and pleasure!

LadySky89 Mar 28, 2014 @ 11:03am
I voted this long ago, it's weird it hasn't made it to steam yet.. Keep voting!!!
tokisto Mar 27, 2014 @ 11:06pm
Looks like really cool and well done, but is just too complex for me, LOL. Voted!
PS.: Amazing soundtrack!

Are you going to put BOH on Greenlight?
541M0  [author] Mar 27, 2014 @ 10:32am
Definitely correct. But there's even more! Here are all the sources of inspiration (as duly listed on the front page of the website): Arkanoid, BOH, Decathlon, Dyna Blaster, Impossible Mission, Oil's Well, Pac-Man, Pang, Qix, Slam Tilt, Space Invaders, Tetris, Vital Light ;)
To actually see if you find it as funny as you think, just head to and try the demo ;)
SubspaceParticleBeam Mar 26, 2014 @ 1:34pm
looks extremely fun but i at first said "so space invaders meets tetris i guess?" and in a way it kinda is
good luck
541M0  [author] Mar 25, 2014 @ 10:38am
Thanks for the support, SlackerD!
In the meanwhile, a couple of piece of news:
* Huenison: pay-what-you-want deal in a few days - check out
* BOH: April 4th, special re-release (free for current customers) - check out
SlackerD Mar 25, 2014 @ 9:50am
I hope this gets accepted. I bought BOH directly from the author's website. Glad to see that he is still making awesome games. :)
541M0  [author] Mar 15, 2014 @ 12:41pm
Eh eh! To get a complete idea of the chiptune bonanza, check out the soundtrack on SoundCloud ( ;)

Fucking ear rape. Good start thought.
luv u <3.
541M0  [author] Jan 11, 2014 @ 6:42am

Google-translated version of what you wrote: "This kind of game so it is nice to have brought a different perspective". Is that correct? If so, thanks :)

There are indeed plenty of ideas in the game: many are bits taken from other games, but the way they're used is totally new and the end result is as innovative as it can get.
freeboy1537 Jan 8, 2014 @ 2:29pm
Bu tür oyunlara farklı bir bakış açısı getirilmiş güzel yani.
Tyomanator Jan 2, 2014 @ 9:19am
interesting idea
541M0  [author] Oct 23, 2013 @ 9:04am
Thanks, SPOOKY!
In the meanwhile, this Saturday Huenison gets released through another major channel (see Facebook page) ;)
YA GOT THIS COMIN! Oct 22, 2013 @ 2:17pm
This game. This gaaaaaaiiiimmmmmeeeeeee
I just played the demo and I loved it! Hope it gets accepted.

@-pg- Digital_Destruction

I'll let this statement from this review [] address that "simplistic": "Beneath the 80′s veneer lurks a game with a staggering amount of complexity." ;)
If you want, give the demo a try and it will show you with just the initial levels that things are much deeper than it seems...
Digital_Destruction Sep 11, 2013 @ 12:23pm
It looks well done and polished but it seems to simplistic form my taste, never was much of an 90's game kinda guy. I'm sure you have but you should try another game distribution site.
541M0  [author] Sep 8, 2013 @ 9:11am

DVD box: put into that as much love as in the game itself! I'm glad you like the result.

Purchase: that's nice, thanks a lot!

Spreading the word: that's double nice, thanks even more!

Music: yes, I used precisely a tracker: klystracker, a chiptune one. You can see it in the already mentioned videos (example:
Weezill -TPF- Sep 7, 2013 @ 9:36pm
The DVD box looks fantastic. I just bought the game, and shared the link with all of my friends. It looks like you wrote the music using Renoise? I hardly see anyone using tracker software anymore. :)
541M0  [author] Sep 7, 2013 @ 9:41am

Your appreciation is a nice reward for the effort I did to write those 30 minutes of music :)

Releasing the soundtrack separately is indeed one of the ideas I have in mind, but in the plans the release of the physical version* comes first, as the Enhanced CD would contain the soundtrack in the audio session.
In the meanwhile, you can still get hold of the music - you can:
* buy the game [] (it's just 2.99 GBP, after all!): the tracks in data folder can be accessed freely;
* have a look at the Huenison playlist on YouTube : it contains all the tracks.

*DVD box with CD and booklet - prepress proofing pictures: 1 , 2 , 3
Weezill -TPF- Sep 7, 2013 @ 1:04am
please release the soundtrack separately. it is amazing.
