Loading saved games with mod in play causes full game crash

I know this isn't your fault or anything, but this mod seems to overlap with the Supernatural Civilisations modpack (basically the nightelves civ looks just like one of the other civs, down to color and leader portrait)

Is there any way to fix that?

night elves should get invisibility or something in friendly forest tiles after not moving for a turn to bring them more in-line with the actual nightelves.

@Moshcloud he can't. It gives you an extra religous bonus, which isn't in vanilla.

I think the Night Elves should be much more similar to the Celts. Night Elves should get some form of bonuses when they are near forests.

it seems to be just me having this issue, but when i tested out the mod it seems broken. the pictures don't show on the leader screen, but the text and background do. the first settlers and warrors were to be upgraded as well having a targeted plane icon. any words of advice?

Ikiro: It's a common issue with the Steam Workshop. You need to delete your cache file. Go to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Cache and delete Civ5ModsDatabase. Then hop back into the game and go to your mods menu, it should re download everything.

I don't know why, but I can't for the life of me get this mod to DL. I have BNW and G&K. Most the other Warcraft mods you've made work fine. I really want to be the Night Elves though :P

Seth Vortu: Not sure what you mean, this ability is identical to the one in Vanilla Civ.

Nicnackxx: The best thing to do is not click that 'Update' button when you're in the middle of the game. That said, the only update coming soon is a Ghoul skin (That wont break saves) and a new Stormwind unit (That WILL break saves). I always put in the notes whether or not saves will break so if you're not sure just check that :)

Would it be possible to gain access to the bonus belief when enhancing the religion? So the UA isn't just flat out better than the other civ that gets the bonus belief?

Nicnackxx: Hey mate, recent updates that made changes to some of the units unfourtunately broke save games, so you may have to start over. Sorry!

Kingzap: The mods don't require Brave New World or any DLC, but they do require the Gods and Kings expansion.

Deellyyman: Check out the list in the Civilizations of Warcraft collection, you'll see Pandaren are planned.

Hi there, I was loving the mod but i tried to load a save game that uses it and its failing to load...causing civ 5 to crash. Not sure whats wrong.

If they show up in the mod list and are enabled, but the civs don't show up in the setup screen, there's two things: Firstly, make sure you are at least running Gods and Kings. Secondly, test them individually instead of running multiples at once. If they all run fine when it's just them turned on, you're using an out-of-date version of one of the mods and need to update it in your mods menu.

Lastly, if none of that works, the best thing to do is unsubscribe and resubscribe to everything which forces you to download the latest version. There is an issue with big mod packs like this where if you have the latest version of one mod, and an older version of another, it can cause the older ones to not show up.

Sweetie Belle, Poodicus, Slender Man: The most common reason for them not to show up in the mod list is if your cache file breaks, which is a very common bug with the Steam workshop. To resolve this go to My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/Cache and delete Civ5ModsDatabase.

The other thing that will sometimes help is using the in-game mod browser to subscibe. So hit unsubscribe here, then go in game, go to mods, click 'Get Mods' and hit subscribe.

The civilizations show up on my mods list and they are enabled, but when I attempt to select a civilization for me or an AI to play as they do not show up.

Edit: So I just downloaded/subscribed to some more of your mods, but just like this one, they're not showing up in the mods list in game. In fact, they're not even in the mods folder in My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS despite the workshop website telling me I'm subscribed to the mods. At this point, I don't know if it's something up with your mods or something wrong on Steams end, but other mods seem to be downloading/subscribing just fine.

I'm having the same issue with Slender Man at the moment (sort of), last night the NE civ mod showed up fine on the mod list, but today when I went to go play a new game and load up the mod list, the mod suddenly disappeared, thus not being able to enable it. I had downloaded a few new mods, but in no should it have affected this particular mod to not show up at all. Got any ideas as to what would have happen or what I can do to fix this? Just a side not, three other of your Warcraft mods show up fine (The Darkspear Trolls, the Scourge, and the Warcraft religions. I have yet to try any of the others at the time of this comment.)

It seems alot of people have issues not realising gods and kings is required. Updating the description might help from 'Compatible with...' to 'Requires ...'. reason being that being compatible with G+K/BNW to me means that it will work if you have them installed - not that it requires them. Im sure this will clear up a few issues for potential users.

Sapphire Bullets: I'm getting that feedback a lot. Looks like we're going to have to implement this just to stop the flood of comments. We looked at a healing ability early on but decided it didn't fit the cultural theme we were going with Night Elves. That said, if we can tie it in, I think it's a nice homage to WC3.

SCE_Spysix: We have started using them where we can (See the Orcs mod), but yeah, it's a very painful process in Civ. On the plus side, once we're at the point where it's something we're really ready to do, Warcraft models are very accessible.

I'd have thought the Moonwell, given it's mana restoring ability in WC3, would grant some kind of healing bonus to nearby units.
