I love the new version, it makes the whole level scarier
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 25. joulu, 2014 12.37
No, because this was a pitiful excuse for a horror map anyways.

It was actually inspired by Markiplier's playthrough of the horror game Curse of Blackwater, which can be seen here:

Alrighty, I suppose I'll say it's a nice map then. Does it have any story or chance of a sequel though? I'm pretty curious.
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 24. joulu, 2014 17.14
I am not the first to make a non-Portal map in Portal, nor am I the first to make a 'horror' map of any caliber. The blame is not on me, my friend.

Heck, there's a high-caliber (but incomplete) make of the original Slender: The Eight Pages floating about on ThinkingWithPortals. A few Minecraft maps here and there. And just some maps that are just flat-out not puzzle-y in any way.

If you still have gripes about this sort of map when such maps have been in existence for a while, then please leave. A creator may make whatever they want, and whether the result may be good or bad, it was still their decision to make it, not the community's decision.

A map may still be taken down after its posting if enough good reason has been given in general consensus, but if only one person (such as you) gripes about it, then such words mean nothing.

It's my map, my rules. Deal with it.

It's not a mod indeed, it's not even Portal. Portal is supposed to about using a portal gun and techno-gadgetry to solve physical puzzles, this is nothing more than a boring goose chase to find pointless keys.
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 30. loka, 2014 17.33
It's not a mod. Why do people call these that? The custom maps on the workshop are not mods. Thinking with Time Machine is a mod. Aperture Tag is a mod. This is not a mod.
Aferron 12. loka, 2014 21.22
Very nice map. *clap* *clap*
Anonymister 4. loka, 2014 11.38
Ok, is it just me, or does anyone else think the Cave Johnson portrait in room 08 looks a lot like the G-Man? When the lights go off that is.
wschwartz 6. syys, 2014 12.56
did anyone see the changing painting of cave jonston
bonkrood 28. elo, 2014 14.10
A lot of fun, different, i liked it. :)
Gamerduck13 14. elo, 2014 6.49
its pretty good for a horror map 10/10
The Bluegirl 13. elo, 2014 8.33
When I found that dead core in the wardrobe I took it with me for the rest of the level. I have no idea why I did it. I treated it as if it was a Companion Cube.
dorky ork 9. elo, 2014 11.33
This map is art :)
vioray 2. elo, 2014 2.41
simple but very effective, nicely done. I would suggest though that when the player sees the lines of watchers for the first time have them vanish again faster so the player only gets a brief glimpse of them the first time

and epictimmy24, Portal 2 is for whatever kind of levels the author wants to make. in addition to the many, many excellent traditional Portal style maps there's been lots of very impressive efforts that stand out as something different
Vitrios 1. elo, 2014 5.56
It was short, but fun to play. I ended up spoiling the monster for myself by looking up a playthrough but it was still a nice experience. I'd like to see a sequel to this, or another horror map similar to it.
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 31. heinä, 2014 15.24
I'm not the only person to have done it, seriously.
If you want examples of others, there's "Escape" by Le Tasty, "Going Down?" by Arachnaphob, "SCP-5134" by ΘπeΞχz, and there's even a whole Slender remake that's posted to Thinking With Portals, with custom models imported and everything. "Forest of Slender." Horror made within Portal 2's engine is not a questionable thing at this point.

Also, I'm the mapper here, I do what I want.
epictimmy24 31. heinä, 2014 11.45
Seriously? Portal 2 Isn't for horror games. Bad ideas.
Anonymister 23. heinä, 2014 14.17
Ok, thank you for the answer, and I look forward to seeing more of your work! Your maps are difficult to compare to!
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 23. heinä, 2014 14.16
Something else entirely. Although, in my stock of maps for upcoming release, one of them IS based around a horror game that already exists, though has no horror elements in itself. You'll see when the time comes.
Anonymister 23. heinä, 2014 9.11
Looking forward to this other map you have mentioned in the description. Is it another horror map, or is it something else entirely?
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 30. kesä, 2014 4.54
The doors take 10 seconds to re-unlock after closing. Also, don't stand in the way of the door, either.
Why? Because inexperience.
YerMom 30. kesä, 2014 4.49
Found a key, immediately locked in a room with no way out.
Une fourmi chic. 20. kesä, 2014 11.18

Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 2. helmi, 2014 19.30
It wasn't random. The thing killed you.
[Error] [404] 2. helmi, 2014 18.37
It might have been a glitch but I stoped when a dark "thing" apeared in a door way in front of me, when I passed the place it was, i randomly died
[VRS]iluvthefood232 2. helmi, 2014 3.47
oh jeez poor p body
popaiden100 22. tammi, 2014 18.13
Oops, I beat the map. the shadow over him looked like a suit.
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 20. tammi, 2014 19.01
Players can always make videos of my maps. I used to encourage it at the bottom of the descriptions, but eh. Go right ahead. (And the monster is humanoid, all I can say.) Be sure to post the link here when it's uploaded.
LandOfDen 20. tammi, 2014 18.24
Permission to make a playthrough of this map? (what does this "monster" look like?)
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 18. tammi, 2014 16.03
In a suit? You must be halluncinating...
popaiden100 18. tammi, 2014 15.33
This was amazing! I stoped playing once I saw a guy in a suit behind me dissapear.

I love your maps! I need to download more!
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 7. tammi, 2014 15.38
This is not a puzzle. Not even close.
djbatcat 7. tammi, 2014 7.34
I like your puzzle, great job, one time I saw the monster my body shook wild :0, i've never turned around ever again :3
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 6. tammi, 2014 14.54
It's an alternate version of PotatOS Lament that exists within the game files. It's actually two separate sound files.
Don Platinum 5. tammi, 2014 21.33
You have to put the music in the description.
Antagonistic ALLOS  [tekijä] 2. tammi, 2014 17.04
I removed them to preserve what little sanity you might have had left after playing this map.
JNinjaBug 2. tammi, 2014 7.02
