Got it. Tbh what I hate (in hindsight, see later) is the fact that some secrets (not just here, it includes a few in the real game, most mods, other crawlers) are just "random odd walls" which require the tedious "hidden button hiding" (e.g. bumping into walls in EOB to see if there is any fake wall). That is, imho, the design antipattern to break.
I probably did this a few (maybe many? I don't remember) times in TSG and yeah, that's lazy and bad, agree.

Since it adds a ton more walls, and secret finding can already be pretty tedious at times on straight aways through the whole dungeon, needing to look at each individual wall is something I hate.

I'm definitely not looking at it much anymore - sorry :) - but I think the exp necklace you are talking about is the one in the very north. If that's so, the secret can be accessed from the level below.
There is a secret room north of the entrance of the temple area that has a Ogre inside. The area has an empty corridor where a secret button is locate and that opens a set of stairs which brings you on the other side of that exp necklace. IIRC of course.

Btw - I'm curious about what you hate about the maze design. Not that it's perfect and there are definitely areas that I also dislike in retrospect (specially: like most hobby projects, it's more refined at the start and becomes less and less refined going through) but.. yeah I'm curious :)

Since I liked to look for secrets, I personally hate the maze design for most areas. I just stopped caring about secrets near the end of the last 2 mazes.

The create food crashes my game, which sucks, but there was plenty about anyway.

Liked everything around the mod, was pretty great when it started, despite just kind of wandering around looking at stuff. There is one thing I didn't get to. There was a area in the mines with the exp necklace laying on the ground. Just never got over there and I think I found the key to the door it was next to. If you're still looking at these, how does one get over to that area past the mine cart?

There were some parts that I genuinely got stuck on that I'm not certain if there was anything to really work off of to figure it out. Sometimes I'd get hints to things I already did, instead of ones of parts that were forgotten. Example, while I did remember to do it later, I didn't put the torches out, only cleared the area. The dream came and went, probably like an hour later, I come back after remembering, but got hints for dreaming for the goggle puzzle. Doesn't exactly help me out.

The marked stones, whatever, had no idea they had warping abilities. I might have missed the hint that mentions this, but it never occurred to me to touch them to the shrines. The flavor text on them doesn't say anything of the sort and that was one of the last parts I was stuck on for forward progression. After that it was fine.

Every time it wants me to sleep for a dream I walk, pull the chain to go down the hallway and always freezes up. Only thing I can do is hit the esc key and then goes to desktop.

The key to the chest is in the toilet nearby (with a puzzle to collect it).

I'm stuck in the mines, i couldn't find any keys to open the chief's chest or the closed part of the mine. I have cleaned all the level and the cave with the green slimes, found some secrets but any keys. Hints welcomes, thanks

No need to break mine carts.
Re: the relic: drop something on the plate.. from the floor above! (make sure the plate is clear beforehand - it's a very hard secret)
Runestones: earth is on level 3. IIRC fire and air do not exist, but I need to double-check.
Planes: dreamland is your final target, ice is a bonus, fire/air will kill you. Nowhere else to go.

@[DE] Andreas : the assassin can enchant arrows. The minotaur is a standard ranger like Toorum in the standard game.. you need an orb or wand to cast spells.

plane travel: hm, in that case I wonder to which plane I could really travel, because the Ore is limited. Obviously there is the Ice Plane and the Dreamland (for which 10 ores are needed). so is there ANY map else to travel to ?
rune stones: I have found so far the Life, Death, Physicality, Balance and Ice stones. Please tell me where the others are.

IIRC you could see what happens when dropping something from L4 to L5.
On planes the manual is rather clear: you can travel to many planes as long as the needed power is provided and you got it's rune stone but most of them are deadly. On shrines: for each shrine in the game there is a rune stone.

questions on the machine and planes: are there more planes to travel to besides Ice and when the machine is inverted ? can you travel to say Fire and Air planes , too ? also: are there rune stones for every Shrine to be found in the game or not ?

Is there anything you can do to rocks, piles of stones or mine carts ? these are impassable. yet there are some spots where I am sure that behind them the map goes on. Like in Level 4, NE corner.

This game is AWESOME! Excellent Dungeon design, different tilesets convey the right atmosphere, a story being told, innovative elements (e.g. dream). I love it! just one thing I dont get: the assassin has no magic, yet I get the mage runes when clicking on a hand (with an arrow) - this doesnt make sense ?. On the other side, the Minotaur has magic skills, but I never get a mage menu but he strikes. What am I missing ?

ouch.. the only time I saw that message was if you fall down a pit (a specific one actually) while still having the initial disease. If you are still stuck, send me a dropbox link of a savegame in private and I'll check.

There is a crash bug at the first dream sequence. I get out of the priest's room normally and then when walking down the corridor the game crashes! The crash box said something about a dialouge box not working, i'll get the crash report in a few minutes. Any ideas for the fix? As i can't get past that point!

With enriched orichalcum you should be able to "invert" the machine.. which will give access to a whole new world.

You need to solve The part of level 3 with the tombs .

In particular Sleep after entering that area to get the hint on how to solve this thing. .

If you need further hints: Remove all torches in that area. .

Well, I've been trying not to ask for help but...I'm stuck.
I need two more skulls for one of the puzzles in level 6. Where do I find them? Also, where's "the reliquary" I'm reading in the comments? Thanks

Overall, I'm enjoying this mod a lot. The addition of dialogs, journal and other mechanics make it feel like a completely new game rather than a mod.

Breaking News: in a few days One Room Round Robin 2 will be up - about 20 modders taking turns making one room each one in a astonishing dungeon. I have a room there and that room is itself a little spin-off of this mod. So you are all invited to play. Plus, the rooms made by the other modders are all awesome and state of the art.
