After much knitted brow frustrated concentration the solution suddenly appeared as simple. I have to do the chamber again now to see if I can do it straight with one attempt. Amazing design
gamecreator 6 de Jul a las 23:50
Very nice. It was simpler in the end than I thought. For some reason I didn't consider one of the laser possibilities.
GBMusicMaster 30 de Jun a las 10:16
I tried this map on several different occasions, always feeling like the solution was obvious but just out of reach for me. Today, I solved it. Excellent chamber!

An excellent chamber, as always. Good design and puzzle shape. Thank you!
ghostyman719 13 de Abr a las 17:39
Simple and elegent, with just enough puzzle. Well done!

To all who find maps like this one difficult, hang in there. The more you play, the easier they get. Thanks for being such a quality map maker, Azorae!

Nice1 i like it! but yes it had unintender solutions :D

It's not that there's supposed to be a red herring, it's just that this chamber is rather poorly designed compared to my others and unintended solutions are pretty rampant
tuyuqas 9 de Mar a las 12:59
Arrrrrrrrgh!!! How much I hate it when I think in the wrong direction in the first place (in this case, mainly because one of the elements was created simply for confusing players ). Hours of torments to eventually come up with an incredibly simple solution. Elegant and ingenious as always!

Superb!
jez 14 de Nov, 2013 a las 14:54
No it was not "too easy"
paul 30 de Oct, 2013 a las 13:07
nice but too easy. definitely not intermediate.
hobbs 14 de Oct, 2013 a las 17:41
a quick way to win and unintended solution.
make portal on other side,
make a new cube (destroying old one),
jump across with cube and hope you make it.
from this postion,

go here and jump.

I wonder how this test would work with a goo pit in the center...
question man6 19 de Ago, 2013 a las 6:47
Very nice chamber. Definitley made my brain think on how to get the cube and the laser towards the exit. Once I figured it out, I kinda felt like I should've found out sooner :P. Great chamber!
dcook 20 de Jul, 2013 a las 3:54
Thought this one was fairly easy.. :-) Solved in about 4 minutes as intended.. watched rectors vid after.. that way had not occured to me.. Some of your other maps? ....My head hurts.. lol Excellent job, they are pretty tough. :-)
Twenty Four 10 de Jul, 2013 a las 16:36
Easy Cheat: first throw cube in pit. then put light bridge as close to the grid as possible. jump, make portal on other side. take cube to other side. set up portal to use for laser. get on light bridge. walk to funnel. use previously placed portal for reversing funnel laser. switch laser once you are on the other side. voila! you are out in record time.

Thanks jackloko99

Ecellent chamber, I really enjoyed this test. Very effective use of elements in getting the player to think about what to do next. Thumbs up.

Would you mind trying one of mine? It's quite the challenge.

The MAD Fool 7 de Jul, 2013 a las 15:59
Very nice :) However, I did find a shortcut (similar to RectorRocks' solution): instead of taking light bridge to cube-- jump toward grid and create portal across from beam reverser catcher. Enter other side of room through portal can create portal so that you can go on light bridge. Go to end of light bridge-- jump down to cube, create portal where laser meets wall and jump through (a bit tricky but can do). The rest is self evident. I got to say, though, that I like the intended solution. For anyone wondering what it is here is a hint: it's all about where you first place the cube. (Hope you don't mine if I gave a hint... Hope the hint is right-- that is that I got the intended solution right.)

Brilliantly designed, clever and fun, this test chamber goes to my 'favorites' list. Well done.

Awesome
possimpible 7 de Jul, 2013 a las 10:50
Wow, this was really really clever. Great job.
Bad_Aim 6 de Jul, 2013 a las 20:59
That was definitely fun. Good amount of thinking without being overly complex. If you have time, please play one of my latest chambers.
Sloi 6 de Jul, 2013 a las 18:39
That was fun. :-)

Time was ~5-10 mins.
BlazerJake 6 de Jul, 2013 a las 18:16
this was great! i actually had to sleep on this one to figure it out
Nube52 6 de Jul, 2013 a las 12:35
@ Xervil Getting in the door room should be easy right? Then play around with various placements of 1 portal in each room to retrieve cube and laser beam. I got cube first nad laser beam allignment last.
xervil 6 de Jul, 2013 a las 12:08
I feel like a noob to ask it but how cam you play this?
Zoraya 6 de Jul, 2013 a las 12:07
Great puzzle, very clever!

Wow! Good work on a good puzzel. Thanks for making!!!!!

A nice Mevious-like quality to this map. Not oversaturated with test elements. Less fluff, more thinking. I liked it.
Light 6 de Jul, 2013 a las 8:22
that was a good map! i liked!
RectorRocks 5 de Jul, 2013 a las 22:20
Not sure if I solved it unintendedly but great map!

Excelent, loved this one, good job
Nube52 5 de Jul, 2013 a las 19:01
That was sweet- thumbs up!. ...and I'm sure I solved it as intended, no shortcuts. Here was my thought/reaction process. Ok got to get in other room.... (Orange funnel on) oh I'm getting in other room.... this is easy, Oh sh-t I need to get a cube and a beam in here now too! ...but I did it. Try some of my variety http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198082574081/myworkshopfiles/

Tortured myself for hours. Then I did it almost by accident and suprise it was easy.
Geneosis 5 de Jul, 2013 a las 14:35
Well I solved it but I used the white surfaces in the pit (that seems to be a safe-converted-goo-pool) so I don't know if I used the expected solution... Cool puzzle anyway, nicely done ^^

If anyone is interested, here is my last map : Rotarium ;)
greykarel 5 de Jul, 2013 a las 14:26
Well done. The intended solution is not hard, but still the puzzle has an unintended way to break through.
giles_5 5 de Jul, 2013 a las 11:49
pritty straight forward coulda made it a little harder
fun tho :)

Excellent! I struggled for a bit, then felt accomplished. Well-planned. I'm new to designing chambers but I feel like my first one can be challenging. Maybe it's just too complex - this one puts your brain to the test with out a lot of clutter. If anyone wants, check mine out. Feedback is appreciated. Happy testing!
