I m not sure if jumping from the button to second room is right, because it seems hard to jump, maybe its an easy action:GDIcon:
shaggath 23 juil. 2017 à 8h09
This one is easy, but still interesting !
bullfrog 12 juil. 2017 à 1h21
Simple, but clever. WARNING the comment by @[SKILL]CAMP below is a spoiler, but not marked as such.
No Hands 8 juin 2017 à 5h34
It looks difficult but it's easy, place the cube in the other room first.
Petutski 27 mai 2017 à 13h24
Nice fun logical map! Thanks!
jandlml 16 mars 2017 à 16h05
wonderful. just subscribed to your geand designs

Nice logic
Pamsy 12 févr. 2016 à 19h37
Not so bad! (Compared to Solitude). Hint 1: Return from room 2 via light bridge aimed at the funnel-reversing laser catcher. Hint 2: Yes, then just carry the cube using
a portal at basement level!

I dont think i did it right...but i did it! nice map!
Miami Mike 4 oct. 2015 à 15h37
GravityUnown, what are you talking about? You just go back to where you got the cube in the first place and push the button!
GravityUnown 16 août 2015 à 7h59
I'm not very fond of levels that doom you if you make a wrong move. If you try putting both portals over on the entrance side but you already brought the cube to the exit side then there's no way to undo your mistake and you have to start the entire puzzle again. Perhaps I'm missing something, but as far as I can tell I have to redo the puzzle from the start, which is not good Portal level design.
zigzagtenniscoe 11 août 2015 à 17h51

It took about 5 tries for me to get it right. Now portal the laser to its catcher, put the cube on the button and your done.
zigzagtenniscoe 11 août 2015 à 17h50
Neat map! Tkink I may have found a tricky exploit:

First part of the map is norma;. After you manage to get into that room portal to where the light bridge platform is. Jump up into the reversed tractor beam funnel, then go down on the platform where the cube spawns. Press the button to make it respawn. After that, put a portal where the laser will go through. (Remember that you had to have a portal in the finishing foom for this to work in the first place). It's tricky, but from the cube spawn platform you can jump into the portal. Continued in next post.

Another "Old" map which I had missed, Excellent.
Poison Dart Frag 30 juin 2015 à 11h07
I almost gave up, but I think I figured out the propper solution: Make the tractor beam orange by aiming the laser to the receptor on the other side of the grill; then go to the light bridge and cross to the other side; now open a portal there and bring the cube to the cube button.

Now the part that really gave me headaches till I figured out, after I already got the cube on the button:

Make a portal on the portalable surface opposite to the receptor that makes the tractor beam orange; and place the other portal to lead to the light bridge. Now from the top of the light bridge, change the portal you came out from to the surface the laser is hitting, then ride the beam to the exit room, and switch the portal the laser is coming from to the portalable surface opposite to the receptor that will open the door.

I think the pit might be unecessary though.

Very good job !
Chelliste 20 févr. 2015 à 20h51
Hundreds of maps since I last played this excellent puzzle, so I don't remember if I did it the same way. You can't see the portal surfaces in the exit room while the funnel is blue... except for a brief moment if you jump sideways off the light bridge, then you can shoot a portal while falling. The solution is not too hard after that.
Almisuifre 10 janv. 2015 à 13h40
Cleverly simple.

Nice work!
jam.lab1 29 août 2014 à 15h18
Very cool. Nice job.
metadavid 15 juil. 2014 à 20h48
After much knitted brow frustrated concentration the solution suddenly appeared as simple. I have to do the chamber again now to see if I can do it straight with one attempt. Amazing design
gamecreator 6 juil. 2014 à 23h50
Very nice. It was simpler in the end than I thought. For some reason I didn't consider one of the laser possibilities.
GBMusicMaster 30 juin 2014 à 10h16
I tried this map on several different occasions, always feeling like the solution was obvious but just out of reach for me. Today, I solved it. Excellent chamber!
Ale 12 mai 2014 à 5h43
An excellent chamber, as always. Good design and puzzle shape. Thank you!
xiaosha 13 avr. 2014 à 17h39
Simple and elegent, with just enough puzzle. Well done!
herbusmc 6 avr. 2014 à 22h15
To all who find maps like this one difficult, hang in there. The more you play, the easier they get. Thanks for being such a quality map maker, Azorae!

Oh nice profile picture btw ^^
ika! \( ^-^)/ 20 mars 2014 à 10h20
Nice1 i like it! but yes it had unintender solutions :D
Azorae  [créateur] 10 mars 2014 à 18h24
It's not that there's supposed to be a red herring, it's just that this chamber is rather poorly designed compared to my others and unintended solutions are pretty rampant
tuyuqas 9 mars 2014 à 12h59
Arrrrrrrrgh!!! How much I hate it when I think in the wrong direction in the first place (in this case, mainly because one of the elements was created simply for confusing players ). Hours of torments to eventually come up with an incredibly simple solution. Elegant and ingenious as always!

jez 14 nov. 2013 à 14h54
No it was not "too easy"
paul 30 oct. 2013 à 13h07
nice but too easy. definitely not intermediate.
hobbs 14 oct. 2013 à 17h41
a quick way to win and unintended solution.
make portal on other side,
make a new cube (destroying old one),
jump across with cube and hope you make it.
from this postion,
go here and jump.

I wonder how this test would work with a goo pit in the center...
question man6 19 août 2013 à 6h47
Very nice chamber. Definitley made my brain think on how to get the cube and the laser towards the exit. Once I figured it out, I kinda felt like I should've found out sooner :P. Great chamber!
dcook 20 juil. 2013 à 3h54
Thought this one was fairly easy.. :-) Solved in about 4 minutes as intended.. watched rectors vid after.. that way had not occured to me.. Some of your other maps? ....My head hurts.. lol Excellent job, they are pretty tough. :-)
Twenty Four 10 juil. 2013 à 16h36
Easy Cheat: first throw cube in pit. then put light bridge as close to the grid as possible. jump, make portal on other side. take cube to other side. set up portal to use for laser. get on light bridge. walk to funnel. use previously placed portal for reversing funnel laser. switch laser once you are on the other side. voila! you are out in record time.

Thanks jackloko99
Andi 8 juil. 2013 à 15h24
Ecellent chamber, I really enjoyed this test. Very effective use of elements in getting the player to think about what to do next. Thumbs up.

Would you mind trying one of mine? It's quite the challenge.

The MAD Fool 7 juil. 2013 à 15h59
Very nice :) However, I did find a shortcut (similar to RectorRocks' solution): instead of taking light bridge to cube-- jump toward grid and create portal across from beam reverser catcher. Enter other side of room through portal can create portal so that you can go on light bridge. Go to end of light bridge-- jump down to cube, create portal where laser meets wall and jump through (a bit tricky but can do). The rest is self evident. I got to say, though, that I like the intended solution. For anyone wondering what it is here is a hint: it's all about where you first place the cube. (Hope you don't mine if I gave a hint... Hope the hint is right-- that is that I got the intended solution right.)

Brilliantly designed, clever and fun, this test chamber goes to my 'favorites' list. Well done.

Wow, this was really really clever. Great job.
Bad_Aim 6 juil. 2013 à 20h59
That was definitely fun. Good amount of thinking without being overly complex. If you have time, please play one of my latest chambers.

That was fun. :-)

Time was ~5-10 mins.
