It's really not supposed to explode with every swing, it should only do that on forward or standing power attacks. Sounds like, for whatever reason, the power attack tracing isn't working, though I'm not sure what could be causing that.

Yeah, no idea what, but at least it's fixed. The script might've been active when the mod got updated or something, and that just snowballed into a mess. That's why I suggested dropping the sword since I found doing that refreshes scripts on weapons, but seems it was beyond that. So now you can either keep the original or just put it in a respawning chest and carry on with the spawned-in one.

No, that'd likely make things worse since the meshes and textures (and scripts) are contained in the BSA, so best case you'd end up with an invisible sword, worst case is the game would start crashing. I'd say, put the original sword away into a chest or something and spawn in a new one, then save and quit and unequip it after loading to see if the spawned in one has the same problem.

Done. It still sin't firing correctly, unless I spawn a new sword. Same problem happens when I save and quit, then unequip it. Should I get rid of the BSA file from the mods list?

Just cut (or copy) and paste the scripts folder in there amongst those folders, so you'll end up with Interface, Strings, Scripts and Video.

Well, there is one that comes with Skyrim's Creation Kit, simply called Archive. For it to open BSA's it needs the BSL file, but that comes with the mod so unless you deleted it you should be fine. You'd just need to install the CK. Though, it's odd you have to pay to get on the Nexus. For a premium account I imagine you'd have to, but not for a normal account, unless they changed things.

Hmm, that's very odd. It seems like something weird is going on with the sword you currently have; for some odd reason it sounds like the script used to add the effects isn't triggering correctly, so getting them out of the BSA might help. You'll need a program to open BSA files to do that, I'd suggest FO3Archive since it's pretty simple to use. The extracted scripts should go into the Scripts folder that's in Skyrim's Data folder.

I appears to be some strange problem where when I unequip it after loading, the blessing is not added. It can be triggered to appear, but only if I spawn a new sword.

It's likely not a conflict, I don't think I've heard of a conflict result like that before. You could try reinstalling the mod, extracting the scripts from the BSA (in case they're not firing correctly) or dropping the sword and picking it back up. Dunno if any of that will actually work but it's worth a shot.

I'll disable all my other mods, and try to determine if it's one of them.. but it was working fine with them enabled when I first got the blade.
DEvasto  [author] Aug 21 @ 9:40pm very odd. The blessing is a constant effect and should only come off when the sword's unequipped. It's clear SOME kind of Skyrim Sorcery is at work here but I haven't the foggiest idea what it could be.

I'm having an issue. I've had the enhancment to stanmina and magika on my first play with it, but after I reloaded, the blessing has vanished. Unequiping and then equiping the blade does not add the blessing again.

Well, here's what I did. I just copied my sword (Using the copy console command) And gave one to all of my followers. So, thanks for the help but I found another way :)

I would, but people would still have to use the help command even if they knew the ID, because item IDs aren't static; the first two digits change depending on load order. An item that has a base ID of 000fd62, for example, would in-game actually be something like 0a0fd62 or something else, depending on its position. Short of Wrye Bash, the help command is the only way to find out the in-game ID.

It won't work, of course, if the mod's not active, and I suspect that may be the issue here considering you got no results even with quotes.

Funny, mostly I've heard people saying they want it to be EASIER to obtain. It's certainly not exactly a cakewalk to get to its location considering you need to get through a chunk of the main quest to even get up there. But, I know full well there's no satisfying everyone and there's no better place to really put it that I can see. The Infinity Sword has Labyrinthian and not everyone wants to have to go through the College of Winterhold questline, so it's at where it's at for now until it gets its own questline. If I ~do~ nerf either sword, it won't be by a lot. These are supposed to be powerful artifacts after all and I want that power to be noteworthy.

Too powerful. Maybe its just my equipment (even though I only have one equipment that boosts my one-handed damage..and increases it by 15%), but this weapon kills my enemies in one hits mostly..two hit kills are rare. I agree with some others that its too easy to obtain.

I don't like to make things overly easy to attain, especially when it comes to things like this. Certainly down the line when (hopefully) the sword has its own quest and location, it's not going to be a cakewalk (at the same time though, it's not gonna be overly difficult). The Throat of the World I felt was the most fitting vanilla location for it, for the time being.

i shall give it a try without the mod first to see if i can get up there whatever i encounter i can kill so thats not an issue but its no good if the game crashes or glitches or does that you cant go further in this direction message........or maybe you could move the weapon to a more reachable place for earlier on in the story say winterhold palace on the throne or perhaps on the bed of ulfric stormcloak?

I imagine you could, with a horse and a lot of determination, but getting up there before you're supposed to might cause problems, so caution would be advised if you wanted to try that.

it solved, but a tip to everyone the "hd textures pack dlc" might crash the game in nearly all the mods on the workshop, it barely improoves the graphics, dont download it. i know its free but its not worth the fuz.

And update is out! I've reduced the majority of the textures to half-res (Most were 2048x2048 pixels, now they're all 1024x1024) and compressed them, so now the mod is much lighter than it was before. Used to be 72 megs, now it's a svelte 6! Hopefully that should help resolve crashing issues some have been having.

It might be due to the texture resolution and your rig/graphics card not being able to handle it. Not to worry though, I'll be releasing an update within the next few minutes that cuts down the filesize of the textures.

maybe like a DNA cell with out the strips and the same colors of both silmeri and the infinity sword and diffrent types of sword hilts as both of your swords and that jould be awesome cause these are my favorite swords on steam :also at the tip of the sword please make it white these are some suggestions so you can do these so you dont hove to use them in your next mod

hmmm, maybe you should make a mod where you can combine both into some epic sword that deals damage with all three elements. it would, of course require both mods to work. just throwing the idea out there, sorry if its too difficult, and good job on the mod!
