このゲームはとても面白そうなので、凄く期待しています。               是非完成を待ち望んでいます。ローカリゼーションは非常に高価かもしれませんが、    応援してますのでがんばって下さい。日本語で交流できて嬉しいです。Thank you!
Justin Cuff  [autor] 23 iul. @ 10:45pm

(Thank you for taking the time to visit my game. Yes, I am currently working with a localization translation company to implement a Japanese version of the game. It is very expensive, so I will have to save money for it.)
Be2maru248 20 iul. @ 8:26pm
I want a Japanese implementation.
When will that be implemented?

Thank you for the explanation. I am pleased with the response, so I will be reinstating my upvote. Good luck on your endeavors.

@[Xfire] WonderGamer: Hello and thank you for taking the time to explain the issue(s) that you've had with a product on Steam. To answer your questions, YES and YES! I pay and will continue to pay for year round hosting of my own site which will always offer a direct purchase-from-the-developer option, as well as an option to purchase through the Humble Widget on the front page. After my kickstarter campaign became a funding success, I have had several offers from smaller indie publishers and hosts who would like to also offer The Meridian Shard for sale through their portals as well. So there will always be a method outside of Steam for anyone who wants a copy. I believe that Steam is a fantastic service, but I also know that not everyone buys through Steam. Any purchases made directly through my website, ultimatefantasystudio.com will be provided with a Steam key upon request. I hope you have some smoother user experiences with Steam going forward. Have a good day : ).
[Xfire] WonderGamer 19 mart. @ 10:27pm
I am going through a list of Greenlight items that I have upvoted based on a decision made by Steam to reject a refund request on a defective purchase. At this point I am removing my upvotes until I get some answers to some questions:
- Will it be available for purchase through other sites?
- Will people purchasing through other sites get a Steam key?

Whether I purchase it at all will be dependent on whether it will be available for purchase through other digital distributors. Whether I will upvote this or not will be dependent on whether purchases from other sites will require Steam activation or if we will be provided with Steam keys from those purchases once it passes Greenlight. I don't have a problem with Steam activation if it's a must, but I won't purchase new games directly from them anymore.

Looks great, hope it gets Greenlit soon!

this game looks like all that and a bag of potatoe chips, no homo
Carter83 3 feb. @ 12:26pm
Story driven, choices and turn-based battles - sound as good ingredients! Thumbs up.

@blackageha: Thank you! I have a sign-up on the very first category/section of the forum here if you get time this week, or whenever: http://www.ultimatefantasystudio.com/forum/

It's a new forum, so we're still small, but it would be nice to have some new members. : )
blackageha 2 feb. @ 10:53am
@Ultimate Fantasy
Yeah, sure! :)
Justin Cuff  [autor] 2 feb. @ 10:46am
@blackageha: Sweet! Thank you. I'm planning on getting to the final testing stage for late autumn this year. This project will have taken me 2 years to build, and I will need some help with testing it. Would you be interested in testing a chapter or two in exchange for a special edition copy? I know it's a lot to ask, but I am hoping to have a large group of testers to comb through the extensive text and side-quests to make sure I've gotten it all right before officially releasing it. Either way, thank you!
blackageha 2 feb. @ 10:41am
@Ultimate fantasy,
Yep, just voted yes.
Justin Cuff  [autor] 2 feb. @ 10:40am
@Opera Phanton: Hello! I too have a mac at home and also work in Linux. So, if the budget going forward allows, I will have the game written for mac and linux as well. I just did not want to put that in the system specs in case I couldn't afford the programming help later on. However, I did run WINE on my laptop with Windows 7, and The Meridian Shard so far runs absolutely perfectly. So if you don't mind using an emmulator as a bridge, then you can play this game no problem on a mac! Have a great day!
Opera Phantom 2 feb. @ 10:34am
It's times like this that I wish I had a PC to complement my Mac. I love the way this game looks and sounds, but, as I said, I have a Mac. If you ever do release a Mac version, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
Justin Cuff  [autor] 2 feb. @ 10:03am
@Everyone: Thanks for your feedback!

@blackageha: Thank you for helping by sharing your thoughts. It's important for developers to listen to people, especially potential players, to get a well-rounded evaluation of their projects. Yes, you are correct in that the text formatting is in its early stages. In fact, I cut-back on it for the video so that it could be read through quickly, whereas in the game, there is already more than 20,000 words of dialogue and optional info/story sections. Yes, optional, for all those who may not wish to do much reading.

Also, I am really hoping to have most of the game voice-acted by next year, and I don't mean crappily voice-acted so that it makes you cringe and roll your eyes. I mean using my background in theatre to put a few people together to read scripts from the game with all the passion and fervor they would on stage. Does this mean you can vote YES now? I will work very hard at making this a great adventure game. : ) Thank you.
jernesto2388 2 feb. @ 8:39am
I think is going to be a great game, I like rpg games not only for the gameplay but also because the story. I think that as long there is a great story there is a great game
blackageha 2 feb. @ 4:02am
Normally I would vote yes...but the text I've seen so far...well, you need a better writer. Or at least an editor...(like some places in the text didn't show a person's emotions/pauses/speech patterns depending on their educated or non-educated background aka everyone talks on the same level). Hopefully what was shown here is very early in the making of this game that I would have voted so much yes for it. For now my vote is : Maybe
legmaco [Fainaru Fantadjii] 2 feb. @ 3:17am
Looks great! My kinda game all the way, voted of course and can't wait for it to release
[Poke☆] Tommy 29 ian. @ 7:34pm
I would love a subtle refference to Dragon Quest 6 for the snes :P I am happy to see that more devs are making classic RPG styled games.
Justin Cuff  [autor] 29 ian. @ 7:15pm
@[Poke☆] Level 100 Shiny Palkia: That comment made my day, just as most things do, but I am extra impressed that you nailed it. It was those 3 games, along with early Ultima that have really inspired the look and feel I'm trying to tie together. In fact, in one of my recent interviews I metioned Dragon Warrior as one of the first NES rpgs I ever played. Nice work. : ).
[Poke☆] Tommy 29 ian. @ 1:35pm
Nice mix of Final Fantasy's text box style, Dragon warrior's battle style, and a presentation style of the battle related to Chrono Trigger +1
Justin Cuff  [autor] 28 ian. @ 3:49pm
@projectjerichox: Thanks, and yes, I'm again working to blend the sprites and backgrounds with better contrast and lighting. I really appreciate you taking the time to post with a compliment and a constructive critique as well. That is so helpful in more ways than one! Have a great day.
projectjerichox 28 ian. @ 3:47pm
Looks great teh character looks out of place sometimes but other wise a good looking game. I would Definatly get this.
Retroburn 27 ian. @ 3:07am
Nice! Keep up the good work!
Justin Cuff  [autor] 27 ian. @ 2:18am
@Retroburn: Hello and thanks for the feedback! I know exactly what you mean, and I'm still working on my lighting rig and getting closer to the right recipe. It's a really good challenge for me to get it right, and I like a good fight. So, I'll keep working at it and updating the game on greenlight. Thanks for the upvote! I have already updated the fire animation in the video. It's still not perfect, but it's way better. : ).
Skaldic Games 26 ian. @ 9:42pm
Thanks for the great reply. That animation was the only complain I had about the game.
Retroburn 26 ian. @ 9:13pm
Epic music, average graphics but I'm interested. Voted! (There are some scenes where the character doesn't blend seamlessly into the backgroudn though. You might want to fix that.)
Justin Cuff  [autor] 26 ian. @ 2:12pm
@Skaldic Games: Thanks for taking the time to comment! The animations are all at early stages and will be improved as time allows. I have been working with a nice particle tool that looks very promising for creating original special FX, which I can then use for spell animations. I'll post a new video with an update hopefully early this week to show its progress so far. Have a sweet day my friend and thanks again for the feedback. BTW, Zilm Supreme looks very cool. I feel a lot of work and a lot of love put in this game. That is why I decided to back it some days ago and I guess I will not regret it.
