This one was really neat. It is possible to escape through the top if you're clever, but there's nothing map-breaking you can do out there. The intended solution was really satisfying, but reachable in a reasonable amount of time.

This reminds me of Mevious's understanding of blue gel, specifically "Height". Well done.

This whole series has been astounding.

Brilliant puzzle. Funny how the only maps in the series I have solved so far are the first one and this one. These maps are really well done, I must say.

I'm really bad at these! But good job!

Was what I did the intended method? Use the funnel to hoist myself in the portable floor behind the fizzler, which is covered in blue gel. The cube is in that area too. Then hoist the cube while I keep the momentum by bouncing. Then as I come down fling the cube and as I go up quickly replace the portal the cube fell through with the funnel to press it against the button. Then when I bounce back up portal the angled panel and beneath my feet to fly to the exit.

Brilliant maps with good amount of difficulty.

DED before TAR except after RE.

This one was a lot of fun to solve. I've never done a test that involved that much bouncing :)
Maybe you could add some space between the grating and the floor to prevent the cube from getting stuck in there. 128 Hammer units should do it.
BlueTepig Jun 26, 2013 @ 10:05am
unintended solution: paint the cube make it stand up angled towards the exit make the funnel go up right behind it and jump onto the cube bounce to the exit

Excellent puzzle, thumbs up. The architecture is not as interesting as some other parts of this series, though.

When the frankencube is dispensed and, occasionally, at other times, I hear the "Oh, fiddlesticks..." that means that a sound file called for by the map is not installed. This happens on all Parts that I've played so far. Any idea why that might be?
Gemarakup Jun 25, 2013 @ 2:11am
There's a bug where the cube get's stuck in the grating when you don't shoot the portal in front of the button intime, so I had to get another cube.

I found that you can enter the blue paint pipe by using the Excursion Funnel under it. I went on the roof of the map and basically did the same thing that I now see in the posted youtube video. Still it was more intuitive to me then to use the tiles under the grate.
Still I think my way is exploiting map deffects.

Well I'll be damned.

he does the intended method, but unfortunately his method of doing part 4 isn't quite intended

Then do tell how you're supposed to solve this. Unfortunately, I don't have a guide that can tell me what I'm doing wrong. As far as I can see, it's impossible to get enough momentum to make the gap to the end in one, you can't use the funnel, and you can't bounce on the floor. So, tell me what magical solution you had in mind.
Donyel  [author] Jun 22, 2013 @ 4:25am
I'm going to assume you couldn't figure out how to do it right.
I before A except after K Jun 22, 2013 @ 4:15am
I'm going to assume that this test requires bullshit reflexes, pixel-perfect accuracy, a stupid amount of luck, or a combination of the three. No matter which it is, it's bad form, and this is a bad map.

Excellent map. Really good puzzle and great solution. Love it.
Thanks for these awesome maps. I enjoyed it very much.

VERY VERY HARD !!!! I can't believe I even got it.
Skeptical Hippo Jun 20, 2013 @ 1:09pm
Cunning and simple - just the way I like em. Excellent test and an excellent collection overall. Thanks.
raycelbelmond Jun 20, 2013 @ 6:00am
Very good map. Good design. Simple but effective. I got stuck under the floor a couple of time but it was my fault. The cube got stuck too. It's not very important. A very interesting serie. Brilliant. Thanks.
The Answer Jun 20, 2013 @ 12:03am
wow, very clever champer.
DeathWish808 Jun 19, 2013 @ 12:12pm
I wasn't sure if that height was going to be enough, but F6 was there just in case it wasn't. :-D Tricky one. Very well done on everything. Thanks for taking the time to make them.
Requiemsoul Jun 19, 2013 @ 3:38am
Haha!. Incredible test!. Tricky and clever.
SevenSilhouette Jun 18, 2013 @ 2:43pm
Wow. Progresivly got harder as the tests went on. This was a good one to finish on, took me the longest to complete it. Very solid test chambers out of the box kind of thinking but nothing gimicky. Nicely done on all of them.
