Like both of the mods. I tried spawning it with it's code, based on the video, but it ended in failure. I still like the Bloodskal Blade effect. Keep making mods and working on this one.

It can't be disenchanted and it's unlikely I'll ever make it so, because of how the effect works. It's not directly tied to the enchantment on the sword, it's handled by a specialized quest and a few scripts, and said scripts look specifically for the Infinity Sword. Hence, if I made it disenchantable, the power attack effects wouldn't come with.

is the sword able to be disenchanted? i really want the effects of the fireball when it swings and stuff but cant find any mods that add that kind of "enchantment" to weapons. thanks

Trundle on down to Winterhold and head straight on through the joint, the road leads right up towards the college. To get in you'll have to cast a spell, which is chosen at random. The one giving you the test will likely sell the spell you'll need, if you don't already have it. If you're at a certain point in the main quest (when you're gunning for an Elder Scroll), you can offer to Shout in order to gain entry instead.

I could give the ID, but there's a reason I usually don't and instead instruct folk to use the help command: Item ID's aren't static, the first two digits change depending on where the mod is in your load order, so for one person it could be 0A000D62, but for another it could be 11000D62. Using the help command is one of the faster, easier ways to find out what the ID is, otherwise you'd have to rely on Wrye Bash or Mod Organizer.

Best bet is to plug "help infinity" into the console, without quotes, that should bring the sword's ID up.

Yeah, that's a recent addition. I had wanted a fear "blast" that occurs when you unsheath the sword, but I couldn't get it to work right so I abandoned it. Then with the overhaul update I instated an Intense Flames-like fear effect and later adjusted it to occur when the opponent is below 40% health.

Ok, that's usually a sign that a mod is missing a master, like for example if you tried to use a mod that uses a DLC you don't have. Silmeri though is vanilla so another mod you installed might be at fault, provided of course there wasn't a goof on my end and I uploaded a DLC version.

Newer Skyrim update, huh? I'll have to look into that. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work, I think Silmeri was made after the official 1.9 update (which was back in 2013, I'm not aware of any new official updates). Does the mod not download or does the game just crap out?

How so? Does it not work or is it a bit to ridiculous in power to be used? I may sometime give it more loving, it does need some work to bring it back in line with the Infinity Sword. I may nerf it a bit too since it's supposed to be the lesser of the three, albeit still pretty potent.

I am finally able to comment rather than simply posting discussions (due to a "limited user account"). I wanted to let you know that your weapon modifications are amazing and unique. I have to say that this modification is my favorite weapon mod on the Skyrim Steam Workshop. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to make such a cool sword

Also, if you're still not sure, the BSA can be found in your Data folder along with the .esp, though you'll need a specialized program to open it and extract the contents. I personally use FO3Archive, but if you installed the CK there's one just called Archive that's located in the root Skyrim directory (steam/steamapps/common/skyrim).

There's two scripts for Silmeri, one is the resistance script which applies the resistances and stuff, that's on the sword itself (at least it should be). The second is labeled "silmeripascript" which handles the power attack stuff. That script is attached to a quest (named something like "SilmeriPAQST" or similar). The quest handles actually firing the script so it'll check the player's actions.

It's a bit advanced how the power attack effects were accomplished, if that's what you're asking. If you wanna know, there's a quest that has a couple scripts on it (one for the 1-hander, another for the 2-hander) that watch for power attacks, then cast different spells depending on the direction of the power attack. Hence, standing or forward-moving power attacks yield explosions, while sideways attacks launche fireballs. I included the script sources in the .BSA so you can take a look at how the script is set up, if you so desire.

Hey, i was wondering how you made the explosions. I'm not that familiar with creation kit, and i looked at frostmourne and i didnt see anything that looked like a way for the frost explosion. I was just wonderin' and i probably sound like an idiot asking you this. lol

Unless I goofed somehow, it should be directly to your right when facing the door he enters from. Check around that area too if you don't see it, in case it fell over. Double check as well to make sure the mod's active, since that for sure would make it not show up.

Plugging "help infinity", sans quotes, into the console is the best way to get the ID for the sword. I don't usually provide the ID directly since the first two digits aren't static, they change depending on where the mod is in the load order, and the only other way to find out what those first two digits are is to use a mod organization program like Wrye Bash or Mod Organizer. The help command is the quickest approach.

You could also get into Labyrinthian through its back door, which would put you close to where the sword is now, but it requires some creative jumping.
