Well that sucks. Oh well, thanks anyway

The model itself does work (just copy paste it in the same directory and name it SeriousSam_cutscenes), but the lip sinc does not for some reason. You will see the model but sam's lips will not be animated.

I know this works with singleplayer, but does it work in the cutscenes?

Yeah I see that. :/

That would be painful... SSHD is lacking editor modify data. You would need to rip the armor models from the game, somehow.

I tried this and made what you said for have this skin in the single player campaign, it's work fine, nice job! :D

I know it's Serious Sam but I always feel that a little stupid to have a hero with no protections on him in the middle of big fights. XD

I wonder if I could do similar with SS:TFE and SS:TSE.

To use this player model inside the single player campaign:
(k)  [author] Jul 5, 2013 @ 12:17am
open the editor and do file>open>document.model

go to
Content/SeriousSam3/Models/Player/ArmoredSam_Nohelmet/
(or the /ArmoredSam directory if you want the version with the helmet)

open the model file of armoredsam

resave it inside Content/SeriousSam3/Models/Player/
close the editor

go to the directory where you resaved armoredsam (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Serious Sam 3\Content\SeriousSam3\Models\Player)
(k)  [author] Jul 5, 2013 @ 12:17am
inside the Player directory, create a new folder and name it SeriousSam

put the armoredsam .mdl file inside the folder you just created

rename it to SeriousSam.mdl
create a copy of it and put it into the same folder. rename them to SeriousSam_Classic.mdl (so Sam will not take the armor off if you collect the red sneakers secret)

To remove the mod, just move the .mdl files inside Player/SeriousSam anywhere else or rename or delete them.

Beware that for you only if you are into a multiplayer match this will make everyone that is using the Serious Sam player model wear the Armored Sam player model. Collecting the red sneakers secret will no longer change sam shoes, too.

This method works with any player model.

Ronsemberg, I'm trying to do what you said with the .mdl files to make them work in Single Player. Can you give me a list of steps of what to do? I tried it and it doesn't work.

No it does not work in single player. You can take the .mdl and use that for the main player model though. Not that difficult.
Vic Jun 20, 2013 @ 2:34pm
Is this also active in the singleplayer component? That could make for a great mod as well.
Jack Jun 20, 2013 @ 5:35am

Lavama Jun 14, 2013 @ 4:58am
That sounds like normal, Ronsemberg...

Nice looking model.

what if you have 1 health? You have sam all crippled and fucked up barely walking and breathing? Calling "MEDIC! MEDIC! MEDIC!"? Think about having 1 health and no armor, not even a fake one!
Roy O'Bannon Jun 13, 2013 @ 3:17pm
Or what If I turn off the Armor ? how will I have armor
Roy O'Bannon Jun 13, 2013 @ 3:16pm
