It's the YY Mystic Knight animation replacer, which can be found on the Nexus.

what mod do you use for the way you hold your sword in the second picture?

In the cartoon, he's also wielding Martin's shield. Two-handed weapons, you can't do that.

Currently reading the series. Brother read the books back in the 1990s and urged me to read them since. Im already on Redwall.

I've been wanting to read Redwall for a while, I think I soon will.
Emperor Chop Chop Jul 20, 2014 @ 9:02pm
Finnaly someone else eho has read the damn book! XD "I - am that is = Martin"
DEvasto  [author] Jul 18, 2014 @ 7:26am
I'll have to look into that. I know the Ebony Blade is highly allergic to weapon racks so it might be the same issue, which I believe is something to do with the way Skyrim handles collisions. Of course, alternately, you could pick up the Unofficial Skyrim Patch if you don't have it already, I know the USKP team has done a stupid amount of work making the racks more cooperative so it might work with that.
Kira Namida Jul 18, 2014 @ 6:12am
Love the sword, although I don't seem to be able to add to any weapon racks or plaques and it would be awesome to have these hanging above the bed in Whiterun. =3

madhawk8 the sword wasn't her father's bc (Martin the Warrior, Mossflower, and The Legend Of Luke) it was stated that it was passed down to Martin through his family. Then in Mossflower it gets buffed up by Boar the Fighter after Tsarmina breaks his old sword, except for the hilt,

madhawk8 Triss's fathers sword was broken in his last fight the sword she is using is Martins sword
White Rabbit Nov 12, 2013 @ 11:53am
Yah. I like decent-rating items, not super-overpowered-cheaty-cheat stuff. The sword and the sheild both look cool. I love the books.
D1ceplaya Nov 10, 2013 @ 11:02pm
Fair enough :D
madhawk8 Nov 9, 2013 @ 9:20am
DEvcasto i am still using your mod and went back to check the books i found that on the cover of triss it is her fathers sword not martins
DEvasto  [author] Nov 8, 2013 @ 9:36pm
I don't see much need to do that, really. Ratdeath is fairly mundane after all, it isn't something along the lines of the Infinity Sword. Generally I prefer to maintain a sensible balance according to the weapon's capabilities, rather than make it unnecessarily powerful. Ratdeath was a very finely crafted blade, but probably couldn't compare to something wrought of ebony.
D1ceplaya Nov 8, 2013 @ 9:02pm
Hey man! is sword is great! Could you make an OP verison of it?
Hyfrith Nov 7, 2013 @ 6:29am
Aw man! Good effort! The Redwall books are the main reason why I usually play as a Khajiit in Skyrim, anthropomorphic animals ftw!
DEvasto  [author] Nov 4, 2013 @ 4:13pm
Probably not, since with both this and the shield I went off the book's depiction of them, rather than their renditions in the animated series. I, personally, kind of find the "I am that is" inscription on the animated series Ratdeath a bit redundant and silly, but that's just me.

As for the armor, I don't have the modeling skill to make a suit from scratch, even if I was interested in making one.

Fun fact though, the inscription I made on Ratdeath here *does* actually translate to something.
Christopher S. Young Nov 4, 2013 @ 3:50pm
Great mod, reminds me of my childhood! Any chaces you might add "I AM THAT IS" down the length of the blade in the next version? Or perhaps a set of Martin the Warrior armor?
madhawk8 Aug 11, 2013 @ 3:33pm
dang it that sucks havent been able get nexxus mods to work
DEvasto  [author] Aug 11, 2013 @ 3:17pm
Not to my knowledge. You can always do a search to see if the thalmor armor thing is on the workshop. The Amidianborn retexture I'm pretty sure isn't on steam
madhawk8 Aug 11, 2013 @ 2:55pm
is it on steam
DEvasto  [author] Aug 1, 2013 @ 10:25am
It's simply black elven light armor. I use this mod: along with the Amidianborn elven armor retexture:
madhawk8 Aug 1, 2013 @ 7:29am
what armour is the character wearing
madhawk8 Jul 31, 2013 @ 7:55am
true but all in all its a very good mod and im glad that someone made a mode like this good job
DEvasto  [author] Jul 30, 2013 @ 2:31pm
Either way the grip likely got replaced when the sword was reforged, exactly how doesn't really matter since it was never detailed, we're just theorizing about it.
madhawk8 Jul 30, 2013 @ 1:40pm
not necessarily the leather could be held at the top and bottom by fine nails i have seen it befor
DEvasto  [author] Jul 30, 2013 @ 10:56am
Well, not necessarily. The grip is at least a single leather strip wrapped around the length of the handle, and if it wasn't secured it wouldn't be a very effective grip. I'd hazard a guess the leather is folded in under the crosspiece, which would tightly hold it in place and prevent the leather strapping from slipping. The pommel would serve to do the same for the bottom part of the grip, not to mention, if glue is even around in the Redwall universe, it'd be used as well to ensure the grip is complete secure. That said, secured on all these fronts, the sword would have to be taken apart in order to remove the grip completely.
madhawk8 Jul 30, 2013 @ 10:30am
but that would be stupid you would no have to take apart the hilt you could use a knife and silce the leather where it was bound and it would fall off.
DEvasto  [author] Jul 15, 2013 @ 10:33am
Yeah, but much of the leather was replaced with the supple black leather it has now, so my guess is Boar the Fighter disassembled the hilt in order to remove the old leather grip and replace it with new leather, and while at it he replaced the original pommel and crossguard with the heavier silver ones in order to properly balance it with the new blade.
madhawk8 Jul 15, 2013 @ 10:24am
but didnt only the blade break
DEvasto  [author] Jul 15, 2013 @ 10:05am
The Russian cover of Triss has her with a gold-hilted sword. I have seen the cover you're talking about and the sword Luke has does look to have a gold crosspiece, but its style is different from Ratdeath's. My figuring is, if it is Ratdeath, that's just how it used to look before it got broken, and when the sword was reforged the gold parts were replaced with new silver ones.
madhawk8 Jul 15, 2013 @ 8:30am
but all in all a greagt mod dude and i think that all the redwallers out there like :D
madhawk8 Jul 15, 2013 @ 8:29am
@devasto i dont remember seein g triss with a golden sword but if u look at the canadian cover of the legend of luke his sword has a gold crosshilt but then again i havent read he book in a while so i might be wrong but im pretty sure it has a golden hilt go check it oput on google
DEvasto  [author] Jul 5, 2013 @ 8:42pm
Ah, yeah, that's right. Thanks for that
jhoekstra99 Jul 5, 2013 @ 8:41pm
Sorry, I've read Mossflower so many times I've lost count... pretty much the best series ever.
jhoekstra99 Jul 5, 2013 @ 8:40pm
Well, it doesn't break in battle, per se; Tsarmina snaps it after Martin was captured by a patrol, when her father Verdauga Greeneyes has him put in prison as opposed to executed (which was her suggestion).
DEvasto  [author] Jul 5, 2013 @ 9:12am
I believe Ratdeath and Luke's sword are the same. Luke got the sword from Martin the Elder, and subsequently passed it to his son, Martin the Warrior. The sword was broken in combat and Martin wore the hilt around his neck as a necklace, until it was reforged by Boar the Fighter at Salamandastron. Poking around the only cover of Triss with a gold sword that I could find is the Russian cover of the book. It might be Ratdeath, but it could just as well be Triss' own sword.
madhawk8 Jul 5, 2013 @ 7:29am
@DEvasto sorry i must be thinking of lukes sword before he gets martins sword because on the cover of the legend of luke sorry but on the cover of triss it shows her in the abbey with a sword that has the blade of martins sword and the ruby pommle stone but a slightly curved gold cross hilt
DEvasto  [author] Jul 4, 2013 @ 10:39am
I'm not sure which first book that is, since in Redwall (which was the first ~published~) the sword is described as having a silver crosspiece/crossguard. Not to mention, in the original cover and the 10th anniversary cover (which is the cover I used for reference), the sword is silver. The first ~chronologically~ is Lord Brocktree, which focuses on the titular character and no mention of Martin's sword is made, to my knowledge.
madhawk8 Jul 4, 2013 @ 8:53am
i have read all the red wall series so this mod is awsome great job man but i remeber in the first book that the cross hilt wat gold
