I've become a fan of yours....along with Azorae, Gig, Mevious and a few others, you are in the top tier of Portal 2 mappers IMO. Excellent map.

I couldn't figure out how to get the cube off the upper button with the funnel. Instead, from the room at the exit, I opened a portal above the panel the funnel touches, and jumped along the tops of it and the other panel facing the platform, then to a small ledge on the wall with the screen (ducking under the screen) and then onto the platform to get the cube. Now that I watched your video I had to do it again, just to do it the intended way. Either way, very enjoyable, as usual.

I didn't even notice the space where the cube was able to drop to the lower floor. The last part was more deceptive than difficult even though I solved it by accident after a few trial and error attempts with the portals from inside the exit room. I love all your maps but this "ah ha" moment was more like "ofc" :)

Wheatley is not smart enough to come up with this test.

It's amazing to see how complicate you think when creating these puzzles. I also want to be such a pro like you :D
I'm working on a Underground chamber with authoring tools... it's similar to your "Underground (1)" :3 (or let's say the idea's the same: blue gel at ceiling)

You won't repeat the steps if you don't lose the cube. Plus if I lose the cube, I want it to feel that it was my fault for doing that, not the test chamber designer's fault. In this case, it would be my fault.

I'm not saying that the cube is difficult to obtain. I think there is no point in repeating the steps over and over.
wildgoosespeeder 14 jun 2013 om 3:23nm
Well my critique is that the cube wasn't even hard to get in the first place. Making something easier that was already easy just makes me feel dumb for whatever reason.
BEN 77  [auteur] 14 jun 2013 om 3:14nm
The panel, which opens when you get a cube that is done, it's easy to get a second time. The cube can be lost at the end of the test, making the wrong portal.
wildgoosespeeder 14 jun 2013 om 2:39nm
I found this puzzle kind of medium. The hardest part was figuring out how to start it. Once you figure it out, the rest is easy to figure out. Why have an angled panel block the way and be the intended route to get the cube out? I would expect the use of portals be better. Actually, just remove the angled panel and create a wall that the angled panel creates. You can get the cube out without even using the doorway you created.

Try my map maybe? Many people find it challenging:

This is one of the best puzzles I've played in a long time Thoughtful, fun - with lots of attention to detail. Thanks for making!

This is really, really good. The puzzle is terriffic. I think you could improve it by finding a way to draw initial attention towards where the cube spawn so the player has an idea of what their first task is, but once the test is underway it's elegant and enjoyable.

Very nice map.

I'm quite sure that I solved this one in the right way. That's awesome. Players should ask theirselves why the narrow gap just in front of the button exists. I actually noticed this gap but had completely been ignoring it until I got the AHA! moment D:
BEN 77  [auteur] 8 jun 2013 om 11:57nm
Thank you all for your feedback. I think the error is corrected with a button.

Oh!
Nobody No-one 8 jun 2013 om 4:23nm
I did the same thing. What even is the intended solution?
ghulwull 8 jun 2013 om 1:18nm
Hi, I managed to get around the solution doing this : if I place the cube close enough to the ledge of the button, I can jump and grab it, getting around the solution you had prepared. Maybe you'd like to correct that one.
But yet again, a very good one. I really appreciate your Wheatley maps. I particularly liked the way you get bullied when you're trying stuff out ;-)
