This map was awesome when it worked. Iwo Jima had such a cool vibe at night. Sadly, all the Rising Storm day change maps have been broken for years.

is crash for me as well

the maps need to be rebuilt, sadly i have not had the time...

Seems to crash as soon as I select a team as well.

im not sure what to tell you

many including myself run them just fine

perhaps its some game settings or something

the unreal engine is very picky as is

when you add custom stuff its often a nightmare

what i could do is try it out sometime this weekend and make sure it still works

Hey, been trying to play your maps but everytime it crashes just as I choose a team.

I have installed it as you've said. But since I find that Steam's downloading is a little slow to work, I manually installed the Client Files only, and put them in the maps folder. The maps show up in the selection when I go to "steam workshop", the game loads up, I pick a team, it freezes, then crashes.

So far I have tried it with this map, and the Guadalcanal daytime map. Both crash at the same point.

It's really frustating me I don't know what the problem is. I have verified the cache, and nothing was missing.

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

What i have to do with the server Files?

you only need the client and server files if you are are running your own dedicated server and would like to host this map. otherwise just get the client files that you can subscribe to. and if yu are going to host this map on a dedicated server that you run then you would know what to do with the client and server files and would not be having to ask this question ;)

sounds like u got a bad download

things like this happen from time to time

to fix u have to unsubscribe, find the files downloaded on your filesystem and delete them and then resubscribe.

i know a real pain!

When I played this map there were no textures on certain parts of the map. For example the bunkers instead of being stone were all shiny blue and purple. I've not experienced this during the game before. Not sure if this is a map error or not

ok its not a failure with the map like i just tried downloading another one (Stalag BETA) and its the same problem.

- steam crashes if i dont unsuscribe after downloading
- after unsuscribing i cant see the maps in the game

i just tried it and it works fine

0 verify game cache

1. so unsubscribe

2.manually delete
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Published\CookedPC\RSGame\Maps\IwoJima2Nite

3. subscribe (steam client will download)

4. run game (game will say downloading, but it actually moving from download dir to game maps dor)

5. try it out it should run great

did u manually remove any old version that you may have.

I think I am doing something wrong, I have subscribed and the download has finnished but when i try to run the custom map it just gives me an error or sits loading for ages and does nothing. I have tried a few different maps and they do the same, am i missing a step or something wrong?
