Modifying:

The good:
+Sticky bombs detonate on proximity
+Damage is ramped up based on the amount of time since being armed (~70-90 damage for fresh ones. Regular damage after 15 seconds. ~150 after 45 seconds.)
The bad:
-Insensitive to buildings
-Can only lay up to 5 bombs at once.
-Alt-Fire/placing a sixth bomb defuses Sticky Bombs rather than detonating them
-Explosions have a .3 seconds delay where they make a beeping noise before exploding
-Explosions and fire break stickies as well as bullets (I'd like to see you try to melee one though)


Leave em around, leave em behind, then leave em in pieces.

I think if proximity sticks were ever to be a thing and not complete bullshit, this is how it would be. The ramp up over time adds an element of skill for the demo in placing them in clever positions. The delay, bomb limit, and fragility make them counterable and disallows the demo from just popping 8 of them around a few chokes and then sitting pretty.

Make this a primary launcher. To fit the SWAT police theme of the set, make it a gas grenade launcher that deals reduced damage but covers an area in smoke.

Yep, *sigh* someone already made a proximity sticky. Oh well, I'll contribute. My general idea is:

+Sticky bombs detonate on proximity
+Shape makes them harder to spot by opposing team
+10% damage to Players
-/+ Alteration to ammo/clip size?
-Cannot be triggered by Buildings
-15% damage to Buildings
-Alt-Fire defuses Sticky Bombs rather than detonating them
-10% to projectile firing distance

Feel free to modify. And please look at this concept Valve, regardless of the proposed stats. We need this.

proximity is what i thought from the description and picture... and maybe even the ability of mines to function in water...

+proximity sticky bombs
+arm time
+harder to destroy

-max number of active sticky bombs
-slower movement speed
-no random crits (yes random mini-crits)

+Stickies stick to people
+ 25% faster projectile speed
+ 25% faster arming time
- 25% less damage delt if on ground
- 3 instead of 8 stickies
- If stickies are on a player the player will be notified
- stickies and be shaken off by spinning
