i think its cooler if they dont all where it

@Spray
What I have to do is find the actor/npc that the imperials are based on, and see what outfit they use. I then have to edit said outfit and swap the armor. The Helgen soldiers must use a unique outfit, so I'll have to look for them. Thanks for bringing this up, I use a alternative start mod so I kinda miss things like that.
SprayTactics Mar 6 @ 12:15pm
@Dahsquare
Okay, just thought it was a bug or something. When you change the art models or change their outfits, do you need to look into files pertaining to a certain location, such as looking into Helgen files maybe? Maybe you might find their files there. Just a thought.
Dahsquare  [author] Mar 6 @ 11:37am
@SprayTactics
Some imperials have a unique armor set so they don't use the one in the mod.
I'm trying to go through and find the ones that do that, but it's incredibly hard to do.
SprayTactics Mar 5 @ 10:02pm
Hey, just wondering: if the Imperials are to wear the updated armors, aren't the ones that you first encounter in Helgen supposed to wear the armor also? I can see that some wear the armor, but not all.
Dahsquare  [author] Dec 24, 2013 @ 11:39pm
@Chrissy Thank you. I appreciate the positive feedback and support. It gives me the motivation to continue working on this mod. I haven't been able to work on it as much due to things happing in my personal life, but I can tell you that every chance I get I am working on this mod.
Chrissy Dec 23, 2013 @ 8:30am
Hi, thanks alot! been in love with this model for the imperials since T.E.S Online's trailer. Good job and thanks for making and maintaining this mod!
Dahsquare  [author] Dec 22, 2013 @ 10:30am
@Chrissy For the Fort Greymoor problem, it's probably a bug. I will look into a fix for it as some people seem to have the same problem. As for the imperials in the mod, I might not be able to fix that. I won't know if I can fix it unless I download the mod and test it.
Chrissy Dec 22, 2013 @ 9:35am
hey, thanks for your reply! It's a new game, first time I've been to fort greymoor. I activated the mod whenever I got to Riverwood with Alvor after Alduin's Helgen Attack. Should I have activated it sooner? First time I activated it I encountered three of the 'Real Imperials' in this mod's armour on the road to whiterun with a prisoner but I've not seen them since. Another thing I should mention is that the Imperials from 'More war in the wild' mod are vanilla imperials too!
Dahsquare  [author] Dec 21, 2013 @ 3:00pm
@Chrissy Are you playing on a new game or an old save? If you have been to fort greymoor before loading up the mod they will be in vanilla armor.
Chrissy Dec 21, 2013 @ 3:45am
Hi, I've just encountered a whole garrison of vanille imperial soldiers in fort Greymoor, aren't they s'posed to be the updted version? anything I can do to fix it? thanks
Aranha Dec 17, 2013 @ 3:42am
more pics please
Dahsquare  [author] Nov 27, 2013 @ 2:01pm
@Bran But if it wasn't for you, this mod wouldn't exist. :)
Bran187 Nov 27, 2013 @ 12:59pm
@Dahsquare you don't need to credit me. lol Its your work and you have taken it further then I did, all the credit goes to you sir. :)

I am going to have to give that a try. That bug has been eating at me for some time now, and I have wanted to do several similar (guard armor replacement mods) but that bug has been preventing me from doing so.
Dahsquare  [author] Nov 27, 2013 @ 9:04am
@Bran I made this mod because of your mod, I used both of your mods, and when you took them down I made this one from scratch (Having lost the esps). Now that I know your user again I will give you credit. And for that bug, I think it cannot be fixed. To my knowledge when an actor is spawned in (when they get in the same cell as you) they stay that way. To fix it you would have to reset the actor, which can be done by doing the 'enable/disable' console command, but when I tried this they usually just freeze up.
Bran187 Nov 27, 2013 @ 4:42am
Nice mod. I used to have one up (still do though its set to private) that did the exact same thing (same armor loadouts for the soldiers). It even had the same name 'Real Imperial Soldiers'. Great minds think alike I guess. lol

I'm curious, I took mine down due to a few bugs that it had. Primarily being that if you wanted all legion soldiers to wear the new armor (meaning imperial soldiers in captured cities after the civil war quests and soldiers you have already encountered ingame) you had to completely start a new game. Did you run into this problem, and if so how did you get around it?

I ask because I had another mod that went along with it called 'Solitude Joins the Legion' that gave Solitude guards the same loadout, but it had the same problem and I havent been able to fix it. Thanks in advance.
MASLUM Aug 13, 2013 @ 4:06am
Ok thanks!
Dahsquare  [author] Aug 12, 2013 @ 12:48pm
@Maslum It's a bug, I'll fix it i nthe next update
MASLUM Aug 12, 2013 @ 7:19am
Great mod, but when i finished the civil war quest line the guards in Windhelm wear their normal imperial light armor while the guards in other holds wear their heavy armor.
BioWire Aug 10, 2013 @ 7:16pm
I never knew rome was poor, their architecture and culture seemed so rich...And the legionaires had a surprisingly high literacy rate....
Dahsquare  [author] Jun 27, 2013 @ 4:24pm
@Kotla Exactly what I'm saying. Not that I care what they think, because this was made for enjoyment, not exacly to sastify lore-geeks.
Kotla_Hukaatir Jun 27, 2013 @ 11:14am
Why is anyone saying this is lore unfriendly? To the guy who said legionares running through Skyrims terrian would cause them to be exhausted,I say no it wouldnt.They are trained for treks like that they have incredible stamina.Soldiers do this thing called training that helps them.Also play Oblivion and the other games.The Empire,yes its based off Rome,is not poor like Rome was.Resaerch your topic before arguing.
Dahsquare  [author] Jun 17, 2013 @ 3:51pm
@Bio Maybe..
BioWire Jun 16, 2013 @ 11:52pm
will you make another version where they where the imperial officer helmet?because i have a mod,skyrealism shiny imperial heavy armor or something beast.
[SOTV] Recon Ghost May 23, 2013 @ 7:34pm
@DahSquare, ok awesome
Dahsquare  [author] May 23, 2013 @ 6:38pm
@NightPhoenix I'll try, but I'll have to contact someone to make the meshes and textures..
[SOTV] Recon Ghost May 23, 2013 @ 3:59pm
@DahSquare, no prob, although what would make this even nicer is having it to where the stormcloaks heavy's have a different helm then the original, I know that may be challenging but it would be cool if you could do that.
Dahsquare  [author] May 23, 2013 @ 6:48am
@Night Phoenix, Thanks.
[SOTV] Recon Ghost May 22, 2013 @ 12:25pm
Great mod, I always felt that the Soldiers seemed to Dull sometimes like they were missing something that said "I can beat your ass to Sovngarde and back". keep up the great modding, you have my support 100%
Dahsquare  [author] May 15, 2013 @ 9:13am
@Lolzmyface Thanks, it's people like you who keep me modding. :D
Lolzmyface May 14, 2013 @ 8:00pm
Wow, I was reading the comments on this mod and alot of you sound like ungrateful assholes. Who gives a shit if its unrealistic or dosent follow the lore, your playing a game where you slay dragons and kill a god, get over it. Shadow thanks for the mod I appreciate the hard work, and I will enjoy playing my game with your mod added to it.
SinlessPrism Apr 28, 2013 @ 7:34pm
your very welcome Shadow
Dahsquare  [author] Apr 28, 2013 @ 5:55pm
@SinlessPrism Thanks.
HuggieSunrise Apr 28, 2013 @ 5:03pm
Like rome not every soldier was armored its somewhat impractical, but this is TES and they were always havily armored even the battle mages.
lorddragoblade Apr 28, 2013 @ 12:49pm
big bad imps no no no storm cloeks you meen the the rebel scum
SinlessPrism Apr 28, 2013 @ 1:24am
Damn good mod Shadow. I hope to see more of your work in the future. I did have a problem at first loading the game, but I exited and resarted it works just fine. Thanks again for bringing back something to the lore that I believe was greatly needed. Also have you considered amping up the look of the Stormcloaks? Just a penny for your thoughts. lol. Best of luck towards your future projects.
Sexy_like_a_Lumberjack Apr 27, 2013 @ 9:42am
dont listen to that otardy guy the disscusion says if you do that it will fuck your computer up
DefaultGamer1101 Apr 27, 2013 @ 8:09am
First I want to say screw all the haters on this mod.
Second I want to say that this is a great mod and brings back the Empire you got to see in oblivion where almost every single soldier wore the iconic heavy armor set (its a shame they changed that exact look though T-T ) Anyways, great mod and I love it!!
Long live the Empire!!
Mr Boston Apr 27, 2013 @ 5:01am
Awesome work!!!)
Dahsquare  [author] Apr 26, 2013 @ 5:16pm
@Randal Apparently you have no common sense whatsoever. If you did, you would be smart enough to realize that I'm not going to change this mod to tailor to a little slice of people. If you don't like what this mod adds, then don't subscribe! It's simple! This is for people that want soldiers to look like soldiers!
Mr JIGGY Apr 26, 2013 @ 5:08pm
lol randa145 its just saying your a pussie outdoors hahah
Randal Apr 26, 2013 @ 5:08pm
Also, only legionaries would wear armor like this, not just grunts. Skyrim is already realistic enough by giving legionaries the same armor. Normal soldiers just wear shitty armor because they aren't as important.
JoshnPosh³ Apr 26, 2013 @ 2:01pm
i miss the old Legion armor from oblivion
=SPQR= Aetius Byron {Barca} Apr 26, 2013 @ 1:36pm
nice mod
Rudofaux Apr 26, 2013 @ 10:20am
Taking into account in this fantasy setting the common currency is gold coins & there seems to be no end to the supply of said coins. So to me it works out for solders from an empire that prints these endless gold coins to be equipped with heavy armor.

This armor works great in the fantasy setting this game is set in.
-TS2- Spax the Pacifest Apr 26, 2013 @ 3:44am
Hey, this armor's pretty cool! I like the fact it's not as difficult to get imperial heavy armor without too much trouble (Stealing from armory, killing a captain, etc.).
Dahsquare  [author] Apr 25, 2013 @ 8:31pm
@ Clandestined It's fine. I wasn't aiming that to you, I was aiming it to the idiots who were like "DER, THIZ MOD SUCKZ HE NEEDZ TO DO THIS THIS AND THIS ERHEHREHR" (God, I hate typing like that to get a point across...)
Dahsquare  [author] Apr 25, 2013 @ 8:28pm
@Randal45 I don't have a response for you, Mr. Troll. I prefer not to feed your kind. Now go back to flaming Youtube comments.
Randal Apr 25, 2013 @ 5:13pm
Shadow, stop complaining.
Clandestined Apr 25, 2013 @ 2:41pm
Not trying to flame you buddy. It was just my two cents in the argument below, not ained at the mod itself. As you said, you do what you want and those who like it will follow you.
