@mel_mel_baby: Thanx! I'm working on it, even there was less progress. On the other hand I made some epileptic tests with the Oculus Rift and Rosetta Z. I hope to publish a separated VR-Zlug-watching scene soon, nausea included. I'm also working on the assets to pimp the drone, but it takes time, e.g. the hypnotrap . So long, be patient, please.
mel_mel_baby 27 Lip - 6:37
this one should get up and work ...simply coz the game depth could be facinating.
I like the surface ...
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 21 Mar - 4:32
Yeah, at the moment, there is closed season for the Giant Zlugs, population was going down, they need time to do this saucy, slimy zlug things, they should not be disturbed.
!3eleidiger 20 Mar - 8:57
Hmmm than better don´t wake the sleeping Dragon?
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 19 Mar - 13:55
Hah! ... not dead, just sleeping! ;-)
!3eleidiger 18 Mar - 9:28

@Sgt. Psycho: And the Tour of the Universe is a must! Perfect.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 30 Sie, 2013 - 18:01
@Sgt. Psycho: Hey Sgt., nice to hear from you. I've not released any new version since the end of April, so there is nothing new to see. From time to time I've to do some stuff, which allows me to pay the bills, but hopefully I'll soon fit into my new job, and I can focus on Z.O.H.R.N on my weekends. In the mean time I'll update you gents with some minor screenshots.
Sgt.Psycho 29 Sie, 2013 - 17:22
Sorry, I've been meaning to get to that review. I'll do some more playtesting and get onto it. Hope you're enjoying Tour of the Universe and it gives you lots of inspiration for strange and weird alien freakiness in ZHORN.
Some Witty Remark 29 Sie, 2013 - 11:24
@¡EvilBad¡ Then I will gratefully buy this game
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 26 Sie, 2013 - 9:46
@Some Witty Remark: Thanx for the feedback. I agree on that, there should be some more wildlife to fill up all the empty space. I already have some Fungus[www.zohrn.com] in the pipeline and I'll vary the style, size and behavior of the giant zlugs. But I think some other creepy, grumpy whatever are needed.
Some Witty Remark 25 Sie, 2013 - 4:33
I think this looks really cool! It reminds me of red faction! but personally I think there needs to be some more exiting aliens rather than just slugs.
Sapphire Storm 1 Lip, 2013 - 15:06
well, its a good start..?
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 24 Cze, 2013 - 6:53
@Razrien: Thanx! after a 'short' summer time break, I'll push the implementation forward and hope I'll keep the level of wierdness ;-)
Razrien 23 Cze, 2013 - 22:17
This looks wierd as hell.. but thats not a bad thing.
Not a game i'd be interested in, but I do wish you luck :D
Blaque =/ 14 Cze, 2013 - 6:35
well, its seems so boring, =|, at least a music behind
MrBananaGrabb3r 10 Cze, 2013 - 7:32
looks boring. can't believe someone could look at this and say "yeah, I'd pay money to play this."
kirinome 4 Cze, 2013 - 6:13
I like the idea, and I hope this game becomes a huge Game.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 2 Cze, 2013 - 17:13
@Rus 47: Sorry, that Z.O.H.R.N is not running on your machine. Thanx for your effort and passing me the configuration. I just opened a discussion thread for this issue and keep you up to date as soon as I know more.
Rus 47 2 Cze, 2013 - 11:45
@¡EvilBad¡: I tried different resolutions, differen quality settings, tried switching off the fullscreen and clouds rendering. Nothing helped.
My hardware configuration is:
OS: Windows 7 32-bit
Videocard: GeForce GTS 250 1GB VRAM
Memory: 4GB DDR3
CPU: intel core i3 550
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 2 Cze, 2013 - 10:17
@Rus47: ... and switch off the rendering of the clouds in the setup, they are consuming a lot of hardware power.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 1 Cze, 2013 - 19:49
@Rus47: Even on a fast machine it can take couple of seconds to load the field, on mine it's about 10. The 'Setup'-Button is at the very beginning of the game.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 1 Cze, 2013 - 19:47
@Rus47 : What hardware configuration do you have? Your graphic card should have at least 1 GB. In the setup you can try to reduce the resolution and to pull down the quality slider to 'Fastest'. Let me know whether that helped, otherwise I'll try to find someone else who is also running a 32-bit system and will check whether he has the same problem.
Rus 47 1 Cze, 2013 - 19:14
@¡EvilBad¡: Hi! The game works perfectly at the beginning in the terminal room, but when the I launch the drone, it just stops. It doesn't freeze, there is no error, no crash, it just doesn't load the field.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 1 Cze, 2013 - 17:41
@Rus47: I just uploaded a 32-Version of Z.O.H.R.N to the official homepage, you find the download link here[www.zohrn.com]. Unfortunately I don't have a 32-bit system for testing. Please, drop me a note whether it works or not.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 1 Cze, 2013 - 15:27
@Rus47: Hm, I thought it should work for both, but I'll check that and compile a version against 32-bit only. I'll drop a note here, when it's finished.
Rus 47 1 Cze, 2013 - 13:35
Is there a 32-bit version of the demo? Because I get this error when I launch zohrn.exe
"This version of the file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or an x64 (64-bit) version of the program"
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 31 Maj, 2013 - 8:51
@mountain_elf: Great! I'll put this image into my giant Zlug design folder and keep that in mind when creating the next skin ;-) Thanx!
The Wuggly Ump 30 Maj, 2013 - 6:52
Cool, thanks for the detailed reply. I've upvoted the game, good luck.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 30 Maj, 2013 - 6:41
@The Wuggly Ump : Not only shooting, it's all about roasting the giant Zlugs (Weapon Key 1, RMB). You need to fence them with the poles, and keep it mind the connection from one pole to another may not intersect the ground or the giant Zlug. There is also a maximum distance from one pole to another, if you exceed, the blue bar on the lower left side turns from blue to red. You have to set 5 poles to get the roasting started. You may also drive the Giant Zlugs with Thumpers (Weapon Key 2, RMB). Key C will drop an unfinished fence or a thumper, to pick it up again. Cheers! and keep it mind, it's still a Tech Demo, more to come.
The Wuggly Ump 30 Maj, 2013 - 5:42
A game this visually interesting deserves some unique play mechanics, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what I'd be doing other than shooting stuff.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 20 Maj, 2013 - 15:38
alexkidd86: Yes, and finally to fence and roast the giant Zlug to extract the Obsadon. The Albino Zliders (the white small things) will become more agile in a future version and I'll improve the defense of the giant Zlugs. The goal of the game is to gain many credits to buy out its brother who is in prison and sentenced to death. To complete this, the player has to pimp his drone (under development) and has to harvest on the most productive (hardest) fields. Read the description of the game to get a full idea of the story and what's the current state of the implementation.
bluemime86 19 Maj, 2013 - 12:23
so all i do is fly around levitating and blowing up giant slugs? while shooting at these small white things? interesting
istareatthesun 15 Maj, 2013 - 6:51
not often do I see something out here with this much vibe. like many others who have posted I have no idea what it is either, but I was still excited by the trailer and every image I saw, so...upvote...I hope it's good.
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 13 Maj, 2013 - 8:22
@mccaTachikoma : For the story you might read About[www.zohrn.com]. Consider, the game is under development, check out the Backlog[www.zohrn.com] for game play variation.

Arian Del 13 Maj, 2013 - 5:38
sounds and looks like an alpha of tribes from 2000 with physiks for the "snale" stone things no story no variation, but why no mp this would be fun, for about 1 hour.
Krate 12 Maj, 2013 - 9:34
I have no idea either. But whatever :P
LonePiper 12 Maj, 2013 - 5:44
Wow, I have no idea what the hell this game is, but I still voted for it!
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 11 Maj, 2013 - 12:00
@Gauss: Well, just a guess ... but I think the reason might be, because nowadays you are one of the rare people who are used to operate a terminal and read the full description of the game ;-)
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 11 Maj, 2013 - 6:29
@RinoM: Thanx for the hint. Just watched some videos about A.I.M.. True, the free movement is very similar, even the A.I.M machine looks a bit more 'intelligent' than my working-donkey harvester drone ;-). Game looks cool, especially all the small outdoor stuff that bring live to the scenery, I'll keep that in mind, cause I'm working on such elements right now.
Gauss 11 Maj, 2013 - 4:41
Hm i found the nerdish’-retro terminal much more interesting than the game itself, why is that?
RinoM 10 Maj, 2013 - 11:43
interesting gameplay, similar to an old Russian game A.I.M.: Artificial Intelligence Machine =)
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 7 Maj, 2013 - 20:32
@Holden_Mcgroin: Great, do that. At the moment, I'm working on the store system and I'm modelling various poisonous Fungus Trees for the fields. Will post some screenshots when I've something on hand.
Holden_Mcgroin 7 Maj, 2013 - 12:27
Fascinating. Favourited this to keep an eye on.

@spitfire91 thanks for making that vid too.

Samurai 2 Maj, 2013 - 14:37
Love the Gameplay. Must Buy !
¡EvilBad¡  [autor] 2 Maj, 2013 - 7:41
@spitfire91: Great, thanx for the review!
spitfire91 1 Maj, 2013 - 19:32
After working with the Dev. I made this review of Z.O.H.R.N. Check it out to see some more gameplay. http://youtu.be/8ONg5YvvSIs
