Not sure where the "advanced" part is but adequate as a simple test.

I think Wolf bytes is saying is the first cube got covered in blue gel. I managed to hold the gel-covered cube on the button with my portal gun to slip past the laser field and then pull it away for cleaning.

It has water, actually. If you turn around, in the same room as the gel that makes the cube bounce like crazy, there is a flow of water.
