Sure thing, but its pretty hard to make and reuse, and it can't really go through portals without scripts or advanced problem solving workarounds.

the problem with this is that nobody knows what this green beam is supposed to do, or what the green ball is, or what it's supposed to do once it glows blue.

What you need to do is include some "training" for the player. You need to explain what this green beam and the green ball are, and explain how it interacts with other things to help the player complete the test.

Valve is really awesome at this concept. They always include the player training. Remember in Portal 1 how Glad0s explains what the energy balls are? Or how in the first level she tells you what an emancipation grill is and what it does? Could you imagine how confused players would have been if they hadn't been given this information? Would you like to feel that way?

I suggest you look at Valve's commentary mode for the campaign in this game. It will explain what I'm talking about in greater detail, and it will outline how valve creates a level. It's been a wonderful resource for me!

Go up to the top and click tools, and then model browser. If you want to make it into a prop, put down a prop_dynamic and search it in the world model section.

Interesting mechanic, I liked the idea of the map. Two things (well three I guess) are that you can cheat, by placing a portal near the exit ledge and just jumping to it when you have the cube. Also, Im not quite sure what the power up of the receptacle actually did. Maybe thats my fault though. Lastly, you probably should change the ceiling texture to skybox, and in map properties set the skybox texture name to sky_white.

Honestly, its testing with cheats and developer mode on, and then when I release them they break. Other maps like head crab hockey and ragdoll controller tools are broken because I did not know how to properly use pakrat. The energy ball cannons I could easily remake now that I have more experience, As with the ragdoll gun, but I feel like those are things of the past, and there are new endeavors that are not as glitchy, such as flying cars, etc.

This map was also the first one I ever released on twp, and I just recently reuploaded it to here, so I don't think this was as well made as it should have been. Also, I keep hearing about portal placement bugs. I was almost certain I ironed that one out before I released it, but maybe I messed up.

Oh, that's unfortunate. Sorry to turn the conversation 90 degrees, but on the subject of this level, I would like to point out that you have excellent texturing and modeling skills (loved the catcher and door models), but a lot of what you make it very... glitchy, broken. For instance, the energy core you made clipped through most of the models and walls of the map and it took me several tries to make it A) charge when it touched the laser, B) make it stay charged for more than a few seconds, and C) put it in the energy catcher. Plus, as many other people have pointed out, you cannot place Portals on a lot of the walls, it's frustrating. But that's not all, you have really great concepts, like the ragdoll gun and energy pellet cannon-thing, but in the map you showcase them, it's all broken. I really love everything you make, but what exactly is causing everything to be so glitchy?

The energy core is a custom reskin of the bomb, the doors are custom reskins of doors, and the player is also reskinned. the combineball launcher and catcher models were already in the game.
