I just can't freaking wait for the next buy-in. I missed the kickstarter and I would have taken a 50$ pledge, the bonus were so awesome. Please open up some alpha-beta slots soon :) my screen won't take my money, but maybe you will.

Если эта игра будет на русском - то купил бы.

Спасибо!

Хорошая задумка, я бы купил эту игру.

Looks like a fantastic bit of game, cannot wait for this to get Greenlit.

I saw this on Kickstarter and was unable to spare the cash at the time, but looking forward to it coming to Steam!!!
hurrimark Dec 15, 2013 @ 1:18pm
My most anticipated game of the year!
Leif Derekson Nov 15, 2013 @ 3:53am
When I first saw this on Kickstarter, I was an immediate backer. This earned me an invite to play the pre alpha version and get all the updates. So far the game is meeting my expectation and I can't wait to see it finished.

Glad to hear the feedback, everyone!

@Wayne: Bakagrapper is one of our best fans, he knows what's up! more visual elements will be introduced as I confirm I wont need to toss them later.

@RanAnxiang/@Sandwich: That's the goal; to create that strategy game that no one else seemed up to making! Frustrated with getting so close just to keep playing different tactics games (fun, but not what I wanted), When I got the opportunity and built up a solid base, I launched this project. You guys got it spot on, it's an economic wargame with PR, backroom deals, backstabbing internal affairs...

I'm considering a "latestarter" where I open the game sales up again for a window... we're not really pretty enough for a public launch yet, but people really want to buy in. Hit up the facebook page or sign on the newsletter at the levelzerogames.com website to find out when it's available!

Very interesting
NorCalRcr Oct 18, 2013 @ 3:51am
Looks pretty cool.
Sandwich Oct 15, 2013 @ 9:11pm
I've wanted a game like this for ages! I remember actually writing down ideas and planning stuff for a game like this. Not just fighting over companies, but the other companies talent scouts, the media and inter departmental wars over trivial issues. So yeah, this looks so cool!
Atomic Punk Oct 10, 2013 @ 4:49am
It looks so hardcore;D And i love it!
RanAnxiang Sep 27, 2013 @ 7:32pm
This looks like the game I never knew I always wanted. Personally, I'm nostalgic for the charm of mid 90s style games that have been cropping up recently. Drop down menues, multiple interfaces, a charming and tone setting--but not necessarily visually distracting--background. It's like an 'economic wargame' only your map is the city and your 'troups' are accountants, politicians, and shady fixers.
bakagrappler Sep 27, 2013 @ 4:24am
@Wayne
At the moment, the game is still getting it's basic systems developed. Plotting, spying, scouting, assassinating, stealing, kidnapping, bribing, backstabbing, dubauchery in some cases, addiction, obsession, depression, infiltration, detonations, incarcerations, seductions, constructions, productions, bought polititions, and public opinions.

So, as a person who actually worked as a video game tester on some Triple A flagship titles, I can tell you this. UI and background graphics looking pretty is about 10-14 months away from being the primary objective, because if Sparkbolt were to put resources into it now, he'd have to change it all again by the time the game is released. With the Indy budget he has, I'm sure he's not looking to waste a penny of the Kickstarter money.
Wayne Sep 23, 2013 @ 11:19am
I love the idea, but from what I've seen it needs graphical and interface improvement. I give a thumbs up for the concept I hope the final product will have a much better look to it.
Sparkbolt  [author] Sep 9, 2013 @ 1:01pm
The plan is to have a 3D cityscape (like the one pictured), but there's a lot to build before getting into something that complex with no gameplay.
BachBreaker Sep 8, 2013 @ 7:35pm
A animated background could be a good addition :3
Sparkbolt  [author] Sep 4, 2013 @ 7:57am
The font has since been changed for the body of most menus, and the execution is going to be slow this early as lots of base systems are still being built up! It's not like the game is already done and I'm just adding things on top, I'm still in the process of building up the whole thing; it's gonna take some time.
monolive Sep 3, 2013 @ 9:01am
so good.
Nelson Aug 27, 2013 @ 7:55am
Great idea, slow execution, eyewateringly bad UI font.
Mythagic Aug 20, 2013 @ 12:27pm
This reads like the game that Ruthless.com nearly was, mixed with the card game Realpolitik. I'm very excited - just sorry I misssed the kickstarter. Any other way to get involved with the beta testing?
And His Name Was William Aug 11, 2013 @ 12:08am
Yes, just yes.
TheJamesPope Aug 4, 2013 @ 11:44pm
I have a couple of friends who I'm sure will be interested in this, I'll make sure to send it their way.
~GSW~ JumpyJump Jul 28, 2013 @ 12:47am
Really hoping to see this get the Greenlight, or end up on Early Access soon. The prototype just gets better and better with each iteration.
xALPHAxxWOLFx Jul 25, 2013 @ 12:49pm
Great Idea! A multiplayer function would be nice.
Sparkbolt  [author] Jul 20, 2013 @ 1:17pm
Thanks! I've uploaded an Introduction video as well that'll hopefully show people the growth the game is making.

+1 Vote!
Sparkbolt  [author] Jul 18, 2013 @ 6:40pm
And the new prototype build is out on Desura for Kickstarters and Paypal backers!
Sparkbolt  [author] Jul 9, 2013 @ 8:24am
Thanks for the support, everyone! We've got the closed beta on Desura in the mean time, and will probably open up there after awhile... hopefully we'll be able to do the same on Steam some day!
As for the trailer, it wasn't that kind of deal. the funds were for a trailer alone, and we were lucky enough to make a Net Gain trailer with them.
Phreedom Jul 8, 2013 @ 11:25pm
This looks amazing, got my vote and I can't wait to buy it. No need to pretty the graphics up I love the look and feel of it - But then I am a Dwarf Fortress fan and still play text-adventure games, so my my thoughts on graphics are probably not the best to go buy :) Any way keep up the great work!
Reaper Jul 5, 2013 @ 7:16pm
Should have spent the actor/cgi fund on artist for the game instead. Still upvoted based on the idea.
Cpt. Zamolxe Jul 4, 2013 @ 2:01pm
You have my vote, I like the idea.
bakagrappler Jun 29, 2013 @ 4:46pm
Hey everyone, you see the News Ticker at the bottom of the Pre-Alpha gameplay video? Well, why not try suggesting news headlines for the year 2043 yourselves?
Zmaj_iz_Bosne Jun 12, 2013 @ 2:56am
go for it. old style aufbau game. vote up
1200V2 Jun 11, 2013 @ 10:41am
Thanks for your information it was an eye opener. And succes with your game.
Sparkbolt  [author] Jun 10, 2013 @ 4:07pm
Net Gain is fiercely amoral, leaving the weight of that on the player's conscience. it does not label your actions as good or bad, but merely plays out the real consequences of those actions. You will be able to play a game just as you describe once you gain enough influence in a corporation to steer them to choices you think are moral and ethical. There's no arbitrary benefit for being a "good guy", so aside from the expected benefits (higher loyalty, happier bitizens, less fines and sanctions...) it can be quite a bit harder.
There is law (enforced by a Corporate Court and used to keep at least some level of peace and order) and getting caught can lead to crippling sanctions. Police and army are there, but summed up with CorpSec and PMCs protecting individual areas, and the larger federal systems and Interpol-like organizations watching out for the global good.
You can either play nice, or find how far you can skirt those systems to your own benefit!
1200V2 Jun 9, 2013 @ 3:26pm
So give me a game mode like Net gain: Corporate crackdown and I would happily dismantle the terrorist corporations and send them all to jail. It would be a hard mode game because as a goverment agency you are lacking in funds the only positive this game mode could have is the goal to change the corporate system/society.
So you get a lot of bitizens who have an axe to grind and are extreme motivated (loyal) to change the system. The downside of this game mode would be that when you lose an opperative the loyality penalty should be servere. And recless losing an operative should be severe penilized. And because you are targeting the corporations you need to be carefull not to become the ultimate target so you need to be stealty.
1200V2 Jun 9, 2013 @ 3:25pm
No the problem of this game world is that there is no law,no police no army no loyality only profit =Your net gain. Humans appear in this game only as means to reach your goal in this game world. And you protect them only because of the profit they generate not for the simple fact that they are human. And yes even if you hunt the terrorists the fact remains that there is no difference between you=(player) and the terrorist. Your goals, your actions are all the same and there is no difference only proffit.
Sparkbolt  [author] Jun 9, 2013 @ 11:15am
Sure, you can hunt those nasty terrorists with your Corporate Security! Show the people how safe they are with you as you crush those who would harm your bitizens!
1200V2 Jun 8, 2013 @ 1:27am
I would rather play Net Gain: corporate crackdown. In which you play the military, police to hunt down the 'terrorist' for who corporate accounts are more important than human life.
What a black moral game.
Sparkbolt  [author] Jun 7, 2013 @ 1:51pm
I'm aiming for more of that Dwarf Fortress crowd than that Crysis 3 crowd.
bakagrappler Jun 3, 2013 @ 4:47pm
@TheUnbeholden
The user interface is literally pre-alpha. The end result will most certainly look a lot better, but it would be a huge waste of resources to make an interfect look pretty _before_ you chop it up, rearrange it, take parts off, sew parts on, and then jolt it with lightning to bring it to life. Prettying things up is the last thing one does with a User Interface, once the gameplay has been finalized.
TheUnbeholden Jun 3, 2013 @ 2:44am
Man if you made this game look more like the old Syndicate game, I would buy it in a heart beat. Rather than a interface made for a excel spreadsheet enthusiast.
Vindicar Jun 2, 2013 @ 11:08am
nice trailer... to bad you didn't put as much effort into the game's design...
invalid May 31, 2013 @ 11:27am
Wow these graphics are amazing! Still not as good as crysis 3 though
shadow destroyers May 29, 2013 @ 9:24am
looks good and a totally different genre to other games
Martini May 28, 2013 @ 3:33pm
man i bet if i played this i would look so smart
