@Dragerch Hmmmmm... Idk. I did have that happen once or twice when I was still working on it, but then it would just magically work with a second try. Maybe it'll work itself out? I just updated the file (finally!). Let your mod update and try it again. The BSA might have been missing a script or something. I just meticulously went through the BSA to make sure everything was in order. I'm gonna play through both quests tonight on a clean file and do a thorough check of everything.

@Dragerch Hmm... It should be usable. Did you add it via console or was it added through the actual quest? It always worked for me.

Hey @Araanim so, i have the Call of Cthulhu in Shout list, but it appears in grey and can´t use it neither activate.

Also, I want to thank you for this mod, and all the hard work. Thanks!

I've been seeing that a lot lately. Sounds like Steam/ Valve broke something in the workshop. Hopefully they'll get around to fixing it before too long.

So an update: turns out my BSA wasn't packing the silent sound files to time out the dialogue, that's why it doesn't appear on the screen for more than a second. But, now I can't seem to get the BSA to pack correctly and upload. I don't know what the problem is, but I can't seem to update anything right now. Stay posted.

So you do take suggestions? Good! I have a decent idea. If you do the "Dark side" I was thinking that you could make it so if you betray them (by killing another member of the cult) you may get captured and you will be taken to a religeous room where a preist fo cthulhu (or something like that) Tells you to beg for "penance" to Cthulhu and if you do they will release you and forget you pase "sins" against them.

So I've made a lot of the fixes that needed fixed, but now I can't seem to update to Steam. -_- Soooooooooooo it might be a little bit before things get updated. In the meantime I'll try to keep the Nexus version up to date, so you'll be able to get the fixes there. I don't know why this isn't working. Thank you for your patience.

I am in front of the door of Cthulhu and have the Call of Cthulhu, but i can´t use it, what can i do?

@TheOnlyMiller Also, after you talk to Al'hazred you have to walk around on the iceberg a bit to hit the trigger box so that she will appear. She appears right by the boats and should forcegreet you as soon as she does.

@TheOnlyMiller Yeah I messed that up a little bit I'm in the process of fixing it. You have to kill all of the cultists, then talk to Al'hazred, THEN Tiamat will appear. I messed something up while shifting it.

I killed the cultists and it says talk to Tiamat but it doesn't appear, any pointers on what to do?

@Venice Did you kill the cultists first? You may have missed a piece of the quest; not sure why. When you got to search for the cultists you eventually get close enough to the clearing that you trigger a posse that will start following you. The leader of the posse will come up to you and talk to you. Talking to her advances the quest and gives you a quest marker for the actual cultist camp. When you kill Obed Marsh, it advances and you then talk to the Hunter. If you missed one of those it might mess things up. It may be that the posse doesn't appear quickly enough and you just stumble upon the cultists yourself. I'm trying to add workarounds if things don't play out exactly as they're supposed to, but sometimes it's hard to account for everything. Restart from when you find the bodies on the ship and try it from there. I'll see what I can do.

@jameschieble Technically no. I'm eventually going to put a check that won't start the quest until you complete the main quest and the Miraak quest, but I haven't done so yet.

@Venice Try searching more westward, a little west of the apprentice stone. When you get close a posse will find you and lead you the rest of the way.

@Ragingpanda The giant Leech is Y'lla (the little ones are Y'lla Spawn), and the worm (he doesn't really fly) is called Idh'Yaa (the little ones are Yuggs).

@HEDJEE142 He should follow you into the ship Idk why that's happening. Someone else had the same problem. I'll try to fix it this weekend. I'll add a script so when you kill the twins he teleports to the ship just to make sure he's there.

I got to the point where you defeat the twin firefly monsters and had to talk to the hunter but i cant find him. Help?

The quest marker doesnt help.

@Yuno Haha no problem. I've become very much indoctrinated with Lovecraft lore since I started this mod. I'm part of a Facebook group that fights about this stuff non-stop. What is and isn't Lovecraftian, why mythos video games never work because it's not Lovecraft if you can actually win, why actually showing the monster in movies or games ruins the Lovecraft aspect, etc. I've heard it all, and I'm trying to do the best I can.

Also, the alternate quest (where you join the cult) will hopefully be much more of a spiral into madness, where you awaken Cthulhu and unleash him upon Skyrim. That should be much more fun for the mad ones out there, the ones who just want to watch the world burn. :-)

@Yuno :-) The problem is that Dragonborn already kind of ends with you at Hermaeus Mora's mercy, powerless against the daedra in true Lovecraft fashion. I don't really want to just do that again. And the first mod is all about fighting super-monsters, so it seems anti-climactic to not fight Cthulhu. You're not some schmuck; you're the Last Dragonborn! I'd like to give it a true, grim, hopeless Lovecraft ending, but that's just not all that fun in a game. And I don't want to do the old "you stopped him this time, but he's still out there!" That seems almost cliche in horror at this point. So I decided to go with a real victory, against all odds. He won't be easy to kill, I promise you that. And I'm trying to find ways to draw out the horror and keep Him as much a presence as possible until the very last minute. I know it's not ideal to most die-hard Lovecraft fans, but that's where I went with it.

just a little nit pick but Cuthulu is not a monster but an idea he losses all of his purpose when you give him a life bar or even some signifacation of hurting him so maybe you could see him and he dissapears and your character goes mad...just an idea

i have the quest to find the kidnappers in the swamp, and i cant talk to the hunter or get the quest to pop after killing the cultist

The quest is finished, Cthulhu is finished! Finally! There's still stuff I'd like to tweak, and I'm sure there will bugs, but for all intents and purposes this is ready to play! Give it a try!

Next week I will start a new game, completely mod-free, and download the mod from Steam to make sure everything's uploaded and working right. (Sometimes you can't tell, since everythings already on your hard drive.) I think I've ironed everything out, but I want to make sure. In the mean time, let me know if you find anything!

HOLY SHIT I figured out the problem with Cthulhu! Turns out it was some stupid problem with having two different textures on a single mesh (from attaching the eyes to the base mesh, but they still kept their own textures) and that made everything not work. So I got him in the game! I've got some things I need to fix with the rigging and textures, but he is IN THE GAME. This is good. This is very good. I'll let you know when I update!

Hmmm, that happened a couple times to me too. I think she kinda shuts down if there's enemie nearby, I'm not sure why. Maybe fast-travel then come back or wait. Or just reload and kill all the cultists again. I'll try to figure out why that's happening.

@Level 18 Everything is done but not polished, but I do not have a Cthulhu. He is still just a giant Gargoyle. I haven't done the alternate path where you join the cult and burn the world, so if you're a madman you'll just have to wait. I'll let you know when I get the Sunken One all modeled - i just have to figure out the process. But yes, the main quest is finished and functional. I've played through several times with no major problems. I highly recommend it :-)

@Swiggity You gotta find the right Necronomicon to take you back. I kinda wanted to force you to wander around in there, but I can understand it being a bit challenging. I'm trying to think of a better way to guide you, without just making it a linear level. Maybe quest markers to ALL the books, and you have to figure out the right one? That's not a bad idea.

Ah, that's really my fault. The nexus version is not up to date at all. I keep forgetting to updating the Nexus version. I apologize! I'm glad you like the mod.

Okay, so I switched over to the Workshop edition of HTBM and retried everything and it works again. Crisis averted, and I get to keep my saves. Keep up the good work and sorry for the comment earlier.

@Araanim: This mod broke all of my saves. When I went to load any saves saved after a certain date(I can't remember the date now) they would crash after a couple of seconds. After a lengthy hunt to find which of my mods was doing it I finally found out it was this one. It's a shame, I loved the original Here There Be Monsters and was waiting to try this one since I restarted my main file. I have the nexus version of the original, I'm not sure if you updated HTBM and this requires it to be up to date. It would make sense, and in which case I'll just switch over to the Workshop version of HTBM as the Nexus doesn't auto-update.
