there is a few different mods called Better Vampires, the one I use works perfectly fine:

I will mess with it on my side, It appears to be working just fine here, try casting Dispell once to clear any effects you might have on yourself before casting?

Same thing here, I can use both the vampire and the werewolf perk trees without any crashing, not sure why it would do it for you.

Remember that the casting is only a few mana, but it will lower your Maximum Mana until the summoned creature is gone.

When I conjure Mist/Wrath/Bone-man it does not use any magic at all.. :O

Update Up everyone! Stendarr's Aura is now working. I'm going to make a Dragonborn one soon, once I actually look into what the DLC added, I havent actually tried it yet.

I want to deeply apologise for everyone waiting for an update to this. I had a series of real life troubles last year, and honestly, when things settled down, I had completely forgotten about this.
Things are much better off now, and I spent a bit today setting up an update, I have Stendarr's Aura nearly finished, and I am working on expanding to Dragonborn.
Dragonborn I believe I will make as a seperate mod, in case someone happens to have one, but not the other DLC.

I will try and get these out by the end of the week, again I am sorry for the unreasonably long wait.

Yeah you missed the only cool and or important spell for actually questing through the Dawnguard.. stendars aura, you get it from Floventuis (spelling), i dont think this mod fixes it, so why bother...

Great mod patch, thanks for making it. I was wondering if you would add Stendaar's Aura to the list, as it's in the same vein as the cloak spells?

Seems the investment cost of the Wrathman is glitched (atleast on my game). It displays the cost in grey on the tooltip (instead of white like all other variables) and does not actually lock up any magicka when active.

Are you also going to make an invested magic mod for dragonborn, i really want the conjure ash guardian, ash shell and bound dagger use the invested magic system :p

Thanks for the fantastic DLC patch. Do you think you could add Stendarr's Aura to the investable spell list, though? It's technically a cloak, and I'd love to keep it on me without taking up one of my hands.

I have done all that. I don't have any other spell mods except for a few that add spells, but it wasn't working before I downloaded the the other spell mods.

okay, other things to check:
whenever you subscribe to a new mod, start up the Launcher, and wait until it says "all mods up to date" or "all mods checked" (I cant remember the exact phrase right now), to make sure they are all installed correctly
click the data button on the launcher, and make sure the mods are activated, activated ones will have a check mark in the box next to them.
if neither of these fix your problem, I would check if you have any other mods that change how spells work (in particular "Overhaul" mods are likely to do so)

This mod does nothing to any Vampire skills, it only changes the three Summon spells from the Soul Cairn.

I am beginning a new Game and using an amazing Vampire Mod Vampric Thrist" but it will not permit any mod that toughes the Vampire scripting so I was hoping your Dawnguard Version does not...

I honestly learned from the main mod's creator, he has the script up for anyone to use, I would talk to him if you want to make a Dragonborn version yourself.

From what I can tell, after opening up the Invested Magic mod in Creation kit (I've done a bit of modding myself), there are two parts to it - the main part changes all the summons to have the week long timer, and the perks are edited so that they include the other trees to boost damage (by 1% or so per level, per tree), then what I read on the main invested magic mod page is that a script is used to handle the actual investing of the mana, then refund it when it's done.

The first part is easy, but I do not know how to do the script part, as I've never mesed with scripts in creation kit. How did you learn? If I could figure out how to do it, I can make the dragonborn version myself and send it to the main mod's author to check over and publish, or link to like he did yours.

I cannot afford Dragonborn right now, as soon as I am able to, there will be a seperate mod made for that one. Money is tight right now, and I dont see myself getting it any time soon however.

This is actually my first mod, so no, I have not made a vampires mod under a different name, but I think I remember the one you are talking about, I enjoyed that one as well.

Thank-you so very much for your quick reply!. I read that if I see your Mod ready tfor configeration it installed correctly And it did. Hurray! Did you do a Vampire Mod for Oblivion under another screen name? I waited until the Vampires started attacking so I could get the Quest to find Serana "I hate waiting" so I have access to the Castle to really enjoy your Mod for the first time. Your Mod has everything any Vampire player could ever want and more!

my mod will not interfere with Better Vampires, you just have to make sure mine is after the base Invested Magic mod. so, it does not matter, as long as mine, and Invested Magic are in the right order.

I just had a problem with a different mod, and found a solution that might work:
After subscribing a mod, and having it download you must also start up the skyrim launcher, and wait for it to check every mod, even though they are downloaded, and installed, sometimes they do not activate, even with a .esp loaded. it appears to be an issue with the new subscription downloading system.

I just updated it with new totals, see if the new version works, I just tested it on my character: 695/695 mana before, after casting all three: 470/470 mana.
if nothing else, make sure this mod is at the bottom of the list.
if even that doesnt work, then I do not know what to do, sorry

I checked it, just to be sure, and it doesn't change. It works with invested magic, but not your mod. Sorry.
(I made the check equipped/unequipped and with/without other toggle spell)
