Oh okay,well good luck!
Himalaya Studios  [author] Sep 20 @ 10:33pm
Thanks! Probably not for some months yet, as we still have to finish beta testing and record all the voices.
sullivane70 Sep 20 @ 8:02pm
Oh cool, will one be released on steam soon? I hope so! The game looks really good,
Himalaya Studios  [author] Sep 20 @ 6:29pm
Not yet. The game's currently in beta testing and hasn't been released yet.
sullivane70 Sep 20 @ 6:14pm
Is there a demo available on steam?
Pax Jun 13 @ 10:59am
Great, thanks. I've been eagerly awaiting it. Want to support you guys as much as possible, as I've enjoyed the King's Quest and QFG remakes.
Himalaya Studios  [author] Jun 12 @ 7:46pm
We're coming up on beta testing very, very soon. Just wrapping up the final details on the game now.
Pax Jun 12 @ 2:35pm
Seems like it's more than a year since "It'll be going to beta within the next few months." Any new word on a release date? Website still says 2015.
Avo Mar 12 @ 3:24am
Still hyped about this!
aJynks Jan 27 @ 11:31pm
I have been a fan of these guy form back when they were a fan team doing vga remakes of Kings Quest and Heroes Quest games.... With the total failure of the original Heroes Quest devs (Hero-U) and their kicker this is the true successor to the RPG/Adventurer game hybrid. No pressure guys.. but I hope it lives up to the hype. It has been a long time from the late 80s when Heroes Quest blew my mind.. been chancing that dragon ever since!
rikbliz Aug 21, 2015 @ 5:46am
Forgot all about this game since it first popped up on Steam, really looking forward to getting my hands on this! Go AGS!
Himalaya Studios  [author] May 25, 2015 @ 10:27pm
Yup, it'll be going to beta within the next few months.
Smash-It Steve May 25, 2015 @ 3:55pm
This still alive?
dboywheeler Apr 18, 2015 @ 6:56am
I guess there's a lot of testing going on right now to make sure it's working properly.
Himalaya Studios  [author] Jan 13, 2015 @ 12:12pm
Best thing is to follow us on Facebook for progress updates. We're aiming towards releasing a beta, and the more regular updates will be posted there.
Xiko Jan 13, 2015 @ 5:20am
Is there going to be a new release date announced?
Himalaya Studios  [author] Nov 24, 2014 @ 4:52pm

Xiko Nov 22, 2014 @ 6:04am

Duel Master Oct 22, 2014 @ 9:20am

We're getting there!
Arnold J. Rimmer Jun 30, 2014 @ 8:53pm
Just checked AGDInteractive. Haven't done that in at least a year. You guys got a successful kickstarter?! Wow! You guys got Al Emmo on Steam?! YES!

I will purchase Al Emmo soon, and I will certainly buy Mage's Initiation when it releases. I hope everything goes well for Himalaya, and I look forward to anything you guys do in the future!
ricardocasama May 3, 2014 @ 10:02am
Please add spanish language.
Mpsoldier83 Apr 18, 2014 @ 11:19am
After what you did for games that meant, and still mean, a lot to me (QFG2 in particular) I'm happy to support you and you can take as long as you need to complete it to your high standards. Thank you for all of your work.
Himalaya Studios  [author] Apr 17, 2014 @ 9:47pm
@Adanriodor: None taken. :) Our remakes of Quest for Glory 2 and King's Quest 3 took 8 years to finish. While working on multiple titles at once slowed things down quite a bit, it's also because with each successive game, we've spent more time on fine-tuning the small details. Quest for Glory 2 spent 9 months in beta testing alone. Mages is a similar type of game, but in higher res. It's the only title we're working on right now, so progress is a little faster, but there's still a lot to link together. We really want Mages to stand alongside our other Sierra remakes, so thanks for the understanding, guys!

@wr3tch: I don't think Activision will allow it. But if we were ever able to convince them to bring something to Steam, it would be better to put those resources to something new and commercial. I don't think they're interested in anything that's not generating revenue.
wr3tch Apr 17, 2014 @ 3:04pm
Congratulations on the greenlight! Just wondering - is it possible to release your remakes on Steam also as free downloads?
Mpsoldier83 Apr 15, 2014 @ 9:59pm
Cannot believe the amazing work these folks do with their games, cannot wait!
dboywheeler Apr 11, 2014 @ 10:45am
I agree. Just as I say to artists I commission for rather large artworks, I say to Himalaya Studios--take as much time as you need, as perfect art (be it a digital drawing or a full fledged game) takes time.
Duel Master Apr 2, 2014 @ 6:09am
I meant no offense. If you guys need more time take all you need.
Ormans Tleilaxu Apr 2, 2014 @ 4:58am
Honestly, i think that the developers should get all the time that they need of in order to complete the game. No problem if the release is gonna take 2 more years.
Himalaya Studios  [author] Apr 1, 2014 @ 3:31pm
The timeline for release isn't solid yet. Since it's a complex game with 4 character classes, the Release Date is only our current best estimate. Rest assured that we're working around the clock to try and finish it as soon as possible, though.
Duel Master Apr 1, 2014 @ 9:38am
Now it says fourth quarter.
Duel Master Apr 1, 2014 @ 5:54am
Release date: First quarter 2014. . . It's the second quarter now.
mustang7868 Mar 16, 2014 @ 9:55am

bowserevilking Mar 15, 2014 @ 8:59am
I loved and played the shit out of the QFG series, in the middle of replaying the games now actually, I hope this game can come close to the quality of the 5 game trilogy.
MaratioTerry Feb 13, 2014 @ 12:35pm
Love you, guys!
dyraele Feb 13, 2014 @ 7:40am

Thanks very much to everyone for getting us over the line. In the end, Mage's never saw the top 100 list - and about that I couldn't be happier! As promised, we'll draw the contest results soon, so stay tuned!

Grats on the greenlight! I didn't even know about this game until the announcement. I loved the old Sierra adventures! I'll be keeping an eye on this title.
