Outside of the test, it looks like a rough draft (i.e. lacking in all those juice details). Once inside the sphere, however, it's a good test.

July 1st is the DEFINITE release date of Version 2 of Pure Intellect: Part 2. After 7 months in revision, hopefully it has been worth the wait. It will be released as a seperate map, so there ya have it. See you on July 1!

Okay: change of plan. Now I don't want to do single chambers. I'll be starting the update on this [I might remove some stuff, so be warned] soon. Then, expect a good part 3, all puzzle.

I'm putting this series on hold for now. I want to focus more on independent chambers as opposed to a story, and I'm just not inspired [for this series] at the time. This doesn't mean I'm stopping mapping, expect more maps!

Lpfreaky90: I've actually taken the liberty of optimizing it more [visclusters, portalflow, etc. I kinda pushed this one out half baked. I'm suprised people liked it]. Due to to it's sheer size VVIS and VRAD take a long time to compile, so I'm deleting a bunch of stuff. Tanger told me about your optimization service and I've considered it.

And the white surface to the ledge that you use to get the gel to solve the last part was a complete oversight on my part. I've since fixed it with a structure blocking the view. So a major update is coming soon to adress these issues, so long as I don't die before the compile finishes.

Nice map BUT it is extremely laggy for me due to poor optimization. If you're interested I can help you with that :)

One remark about the puzzle though: the invisible fizzler that prevents you from getting to the final part before solving the puzzle disables as soon as you go through the big fizzler? I portaled there first and it didn't work so it greatly confused me. I'd put that trigger inside the door to the final room.

i couldn't work out what to do in the room with the blue liquid and two boxes, so i just jumped up and put the box on the high up switch and opened the door (no need to use the other switch or swivelling door.)

If at first you don't succeed, you fail. However, in these rare circumstances of a techincal glitch, the Enrichment Center advises you to reload the test chamber and try again.

The grate that you have to shoot the portals to get the gels behaved liked an invisible emencipation grill. Despite that I beat the map and enjoyed it alot! I look forward to more of your work, hopefully anothers Pure Intellect!

When you're in the testing sphere you can jump on the railings on the stairs and from there jump out of the sphere. You can also do this with only 2 portals.

Yes. As well, I'm planning some funny easter eggs in the modern facility segment. I was listening to some of Wheatley and GLaDOS's lines, and when combined with Conversion gel can have some pretty funny and gross/disturbing subtext as well. It might come across as me shipping something but it will only be an EE.

@Ulitiman9711 CaveDOS will be seen for the rest of Pure Intellect? I'm predicting it's this will end by 1980s Aperture then back up to the new facility? It's probally a refernce of the time-travel line in Part 1 of sp_80s

This map starts in 1980s Aperture, and ends in a late 1960s Sphere. The rest of the series will see CaveDOS gradually rebuilding the shaft to have modern elements [since he has the resources he can leech off of the modern facility], and he will slowly start going insane. You will ascend the spheres in chronological order, continuing to see Aperture's lack of funding take it's toll.
