you need unofficial skyrim patch or legendary unofficial skyrim patch to fix gildergreen glitch

I don't understand how this mod alters the game. In the vanilla when you choose the sapling option, the new tree will grow inside the old one to the full size. But the only problem is that the old one doesn't disappear so they overlap. But this mod doesn't fix this glitch so what's the difference? The tree grows in the vanilla game too so what does this mod changes?
kc7lzk 4. Dez. 2015 um 9:35 Uhr
I did get the sapling.
kc7lzk 4. Dez. 2015 um 9:34 Uhr
I started my game over and the tree did not grow a new one it just put the leafs into the old tree.
Haruka Shirato 15. Nov. 2015 um 21:23 Uhr
Thank you.

Sowait, if I did the quest right then I don't need this? I actually haven't taken notice of the Gildergreen coming back to life. If it's alive again by vanilla actions then does this make it bear Healing Fruit of Kynareth?

Deleting objects from the game can lead to CTDs since the game isn't expecting things like that to happen. In general, using the console is bad for just about anything aside from getting yourself unstuck from a hole or something with the TCL command. It's not meant to be used for gameplay purposes. It's there as a development tool. Primarily for the company, but also for mod authors.

Oh I didint know I tought using console to delete some disturbing items or objects is good can you tell me why its bad ?
Arthmoor  [Autor] 19. Aug. 2015 um 11:52 Uhr
And that's universally bad advice when a proper solution exists in the USKP.

NEVER tell people to use the console to do anything like that.
3sx I Kevin 19. Aug. 2015 um 7:41 Uhr
If anyone is wondering I used console command ''markfordelete'' to delete the big tree where the sap was growing and it worked fine.
Aestherus 29. Apr. 2015 um 22:59 Uhr
I've always considered this mod a bugfix and thus mandatory :P

Will the random event where you encounter the High Elf pilgrim and her dog still occur if you take this path?
Shadae Prajschet 1. Feb. 2015 um 3:35 Uhr
Done and done. Thanks.
Arthmoor  [Autor] 31. Jan. 2015 um 9:17 Uhr
If you mean the old, dead tree, you need to install the USKP since it not getting removed is a bug in the game.
Shadae Prajschet 29. Jan. 2015 um 9:53 Uhr
Did the quest and got the sapling. Now the new tree is growing inside the old tree. They overlap. Any Advice, if possible?

Morwania 1. Sep. 2014 um 13:22 Uhr
I have subsribed this mod more than once, the tree is still dead, what do I do?
Wolf_Needle™ 13. Juni 2014 um 15:16 Uhr
Oh Thank You :)
Arthmoor  [Autor] 13. Juni 2014 um 12:19 Uhr
@WolfNeedle: You need the Unofficial Skyrim Patch to resolve that bug with the dead tree.
Wolf_Needle™ 12. Juni 2014 um 2:28 Uhr
I Installed This of Nexus Mods, But the dead default tree is still there and the sapling has grown to match the tree causing this clipping going on with both trees. ???
Clumsy Old Rat! 17. Mai 2014 um 1:39 Uhr
Will tihs work if i install after i have done the quest?
menae8 22. Apr. 2014 um 9:07 Uhr
I can't get rid of the the old dead tree. How do I do that?
1337DragonWolf 3. Apr. 2014 um 8:18 Uhr
@WishSeeker lol
WishSeeker 15. März 2014 um 11:35 Uhr
prefer taking the sapling over sap
kinda felt bad in a way hacking the tree ^^; ironic since I dont mind cutting down npcs for the fun of it :x
Sgt Dr.KillJoy :) 2. Feb. 2014 um 8:57 Uhr
will i have to delete the old tree or will it go away its self
Deliph 11. Jan. 2014 um 8:52 Uhr
I had to use the console to delete the original tree (sapling inside bug) Other than that its working perfectly as far as I can tell...love coming bk to see how big its got now and then:)
deltaacid 23. Okt. 2013 um 23:22 Uhr
Woa, lost my question, wow... this patch will still grow the tree back to full size for me?
deltaacid 23. Okt. 2013 um 23:20 Uhr
Arthmoor, The quest is completed in my game. The "stunted tree" grew from within the dead Eldergleam and so eventually I set the dead tree as "markfordelete" through the console and now there is just the "stunted" tree. Thanks
Vardis 8. Okt. 2013 um 1:31 Uhr
Yes, since before the quest is done, the tree is still dead.
chardo527 6. Okt. 2013 um 15:03 Uhr
So will this only work after the quest is done?
EAST R!DER 6. Aug. 2013 um 3:47 Uhr
Very well done mister arthmoor that bug with the tree really bugged me, but now because of
your hard work and job well done in can enjoy a nice big blossoming tree in whiterun.
It's looking great thanks allot mister Arthmoor.
Filthy Casual 29. Juli 2013 um 5:58 Uhr
I am so glad this mod exists. It really bugs me when a quest that supposedly affects something in the world doesn't actually come up outside of the quest itself. Thanks!
Subpolar 23. Juli 2013 um 17:35 Uhr
Ah. Yeah I just downloaded the USKP and that fixed it. Im really surprised they left that bug in. Thanks!
Arthmoor  [Autor] 23. Juli 2013 um 17:14 Uhr
If you mean the dead tree is still there, you need the USKP to fix that bug. This mod will work fine regardless of when it's installed.
Subpolar 23. Juli 2013 um 16:14 Uhr
Will this work if the quest is already completed? or maybe after you have already turned in the quest but the sapling has not sprouted yet? or does it need to be installed before the quest is finished. I installed it after the sapling sprouted and the tree is still there. im really surprised Bethesda didnt fix this after the last time i played it...
Arthmoor  [Autor] 29. Juni 2013 um 23:17 Uhr
@Evil Nosferatu: USKP = Unofficial Skyrim Patch.

@isaachudson49: I don't see why not unless that mod specifically alters the tree quest in such a way as to break this.
Hugo Stiglitz 29. Juni 2013 um 18:16 Uhr
will this work with requiem?
Evil Nosferatu 24. Juni 2013 um 23:34 Uhr
USKP? What do you mean by that? Can you please update your mod description with details for those of us who have this happening? A dumbed down version of what you mean would probably be good. Perhaps a link to somewhere that explains it? That would also be fine! :D Thank you for this mod btw, it's one of my very favorites!
Arthmoor  [Autor] 11. Juni 2013 um 12:05 Uhr
You need to use the USKP to get rid of the old dead one.
Dune Manta 11. Juni 2013 um 10:02 Uhr
Same problem, the new tree starts growing, but the old and dead one doesn't get removed. I can see the tree starting to sprout through the old trunk but it just won't disapear.
thlzrdfodd 18. Apr. 2013 um 3:54 Uhr
I had done the quest, but I could not get the mod to work right, I do like the idea fo rthe mod, maybe, I am missing something, what would happen is the younger tree would grow, but the old dead tree was not being removed. Any thoughts, or help would be welcomed, I may try this mod again later, if the problem I have with it is work out some how, thank you, ttyl
This sentence is false. 15. Apr. 2013 um 2:23 Uhr
I just completed the quest and then discovered the mod. Will the new tree be in place or will it activate only upon completing the quest?
james van der blunt 12. Apr. 2013 um 11:54 Uhr
at what stage of the 6 month growth cycle is the gildergreen pictured above?
Arthmoor  [Autor] 18. März 2013 um 16:27 Uhr
Should all be good now that 1.9 is up and the USKP and this have both been updated.
The Canadian Mafia 15. März 2013 um 13:48 Uhr
That's funny, I haven't installed this mod and yet my Gildergreen has gone walkabout as well. I wonder what's up?
Takeda 13. März 2013 um 18:08 Uhr
I have to agree with the others sudenly the Gildergreen has disapeared entirely, hope with the patch 1.9 will be fixed.
Arthmoor  [Autor] 13. März 2013 um 17:36 Uhr
It's an LOD issue. It will be corrected once Patch 1.9 has gone live and the update is uploaded.
Aries72 13. März 2013 um 16:37 Uhr
Im With Shoes on this one. i had done the quest he died but i brought back the sapling and the tree then turned back to the way it was for about a year real time. But now its gone completely not sure what thats all about maybe skyrim patch had something to do with it. ill subscribe see if that fix it.
