The music in the second trailer reminds me of Talvin Singh.
Gvaz Aug 4 @ 12:31am
Nice! I played the first game and this looks like a good upgrade
robert.blane Aug 3 @ 8:47pm
Now that a launch date has been set - how much is Julia going to cost? And will the soundtrack be available as a seperate DLC to purchase at game release or available later on?
robert.blane Aug 2 @ 6:49pm
September 12th is going to one of this year's big highlights with the release of Greenlight's most anticipated title - J.U.L.I.A. Among the Stars. Money has already been set aside for this forthcoming event.
Seriously - what is the chance of pre-order now that the launch date is set?
I would like to wish thoese very hard working develepers every success with this very ambitious project. Best regards, Robert Blane.

Check out the news! :) Thank you everyone for your kind patience, I really believe it was well worth it.

End of the month just about, how goes progress.
ciraliozgur Jul 24 @ 8:09am
I played original J.U.L.I.A. several times. ( It is the only game that I played more than 3 times in my life) After that I tried to find and play "J.U.L.I.A. like" games, but I couldn't. This is why I look forward this game to release.
JonnyƦedHed Jul 24 @ 5:55am
Not long now then? I never played the original so am looking forward to this remastered version with fresh eyes.
JanKavan  [author] Jul 9 @ 2:54pm
Cheer up, Robert! We are almost in beta. This means that soon the wait will be over. :) Thank you for your amazing support. You have to understand that we are locked in a really dark and isolated place with no connection to outside world. That's the only way how we can finish such a big (and it turns out to be quite a long game) game. Today I did the very first start to finish playthrough and while there is a lot to polish / finalize, everything seems to work and feels in place! So in addition to my update today, I wanted to assure you that we didn't disappear. We've just decided to make something a little bigger than what we've originally wanted. :)
robert.blane Jul 9 @ 5:58am
We know you are very busy doing whatever with life and work but hey, in all fairness, there are millions of pc users out there who could do with JU.L.I.A. brought to the market leader and DIGITAL distibutor of games (STEAM) and if one voice can raise awareness of how the masses feel then so be it: if this letter can get a response from your software house then I have done my very best.
Silence might be in vogue in the great void of space but the power of news/words is certainly golden down here on planet Earth.
And if you so please add me to your list of friends. Cheers, Robert Blane.
robert.blane Jun 3 @ 4:39pm
I don't check every day but do look in here about once a week to see if there has been any forward momentum with the project. You are right, only empty space can be seen which is disappointing to say the least. People have high hopes for this title and the devs have been very tight lipped bar one "photograph" from their "lost in spce" excursion. Did they ever return? Will we ever hear from them again? Is Julia going to be released this quarter? Or will the war of attrition/silence continue for a considerable time? I am many others are hoping for a release so we can just get to do the business of parting with our money and playing one of the most remarkable transitions from an everyday mundane adventure game into one of this year's sleeper hits. As per Ellen Ripley's words: "this is Robert Blane signing off."
I will never give up hope of seeing a dream transpire to reality. Devs - if you are going to do something, make it soon - please?
See you next time.
ciraliozgur Jun 3 @ 5:05am
I check this page every day in order to see any news about development progress (or release date) of the game J.U.L.I.A.. But the only thing that I see is empty space. What is going on?
JonnyƦedHed Mar 12 @ 12:51pm
Any update from the devs' :)

I really do like how this polished product is starting to brightly shine and it looks very, very promising. The computer graphics are an evolutionary jump and exceedingly immersive.
JanKavan  [author] Feb 16 @ 3:52pm
Thank you so much, Robert. We are working like crazy to make it a really memorable experience. I had to take my time to take over the engine we are using (had to make my own fork) and the result (among other things) is that my Ubuntu plays J.U.L.I.A.: Among the Stars in Full HD. Small step for humankind but big one enough to make me and quite a few penguin lovers happy.

While we still need more time to wrap the game up, even now the gameplay time and contents can't be even compared to the old J.U.L.I.A. We found out that we are building entirely new game. :)

I truly hope that in this case "patience which pays off" are not just empty words.
robert.blane Feb 7 @ 10:51pm
Just got a very pleasent surprise when I went to the bookcase in "Serera" and discovered that both J.K. and L.M. have participated in the creation of the aforementioned freeware title being offered here on Steam. Thought and think that "Serena" is truly superb and if it is anything to go by, then J.u.l.i.a. is going to be "out-of-this-world." Thank you guys for bringing us "Serena" which will do nicely until J.u.l.i.a. comes down to earth...
Best regards, Robert Blane.

Will there be some sort of discount for people who already own the original J.U.L.I.A perhaps?
robert.blane Dec 16, 2013 @ 7:34pm
'tis always a pleasure to return to this page periodically to check on progress and maybe (hopefully?) find a new glimpse of heaven to purview in the form of an occasional screenshot.
What with 2014 not too far away, could we have an update on the finishing touches of a wonderful work of art?
Always with best regards, Robert.
how2disappearcompletely Nov 22, 2013 @ 9:47am
Took original game from one of bundles.
Thank you. It's one of the best things i've ever played.
JanKavan  [author] Nov 12, 2013 @ 11:39am
Robert, this is very dangerous. There is a big risk of spoiling the world(s) for you all. We have a lot of new contents and it looks really nice but if we just put it all out, there will be not much left to explore. We've been adviced by industry pros not to overdo it. :) But we will prepare trailer for an early 2014 launch which will show some new stuff. And we will share something in december too, so please stay tuned. I am telling all that because we are putting a whole lot of secrets and surprises into the game. I hope you'll be happy when you finally get your hands on the game.
robert.blane Nov 12, 2013 @ 2:43am
Any chance of more screenshots from the up-and-coming Best-Seller?
It has been very quiet on this page since Julia got greenlit...
Just a suggestion for you to release more info and development news to the hundreds of thousands of supporters you have accumulated! Cheers.

Also will this new version take advantage of the enhanced graphical capabilities of DirectX 11?
And could there be plans of taking Julia to another solar system(s) in a continuation of this story - a sequel?
robert.blane Oct 29, 2013 @ 4:44am
Depending on commercial success, would or do you have any plans of porting the enhanced edition to PS4, Xbox One or even the fledgling platform OUYA?
Will the enhanced edition be available earlier than April 2014 for example could one buy direct from your website?
Some of us are very eager to get our hands on your gorgeous game!
۞Ufuk!''Gsmoke Oct 27, 2013 @ 10:28am
ah i see well keep it going man looks promising even back then ;)
JanKavan  [author] Oct 27, 2013 @ 10:08am
Originally the plan was to put our old Julia in here. However since it was stalled (almost one year at Greenlight) we've decided to change it to the crowdfunded Enhanced Edition which is thousand times better than the old one. As the campaign brought us 3 times more money, we are significantly expanding the game so it has over 60% more contents and is visually much more appealing. On top we are now supporting Mac OSX and Linux so it's worth the additional wait. While our old JULIA would never be approved, the switch to our Enhanced Edition brought the needed interest.

Current estimate for Steam is April 2014.
