The console can do more than this mod -.-

If you enjoy the console, then by all means, use it. The console won't let you have multiple settings that you can switch to on the fly with the press of 2 keys. There's not much more that you can do in the console that isn't already done for you in the mod. There are some subtle settings that you can adjust, but just aren't needed by most people. But hey, mods aren't for everyone and you seem to be a minimalist, so stick with the console.
L Ryuzaki Aug 27 @ 1:48pm
Well the console has more jump and run speed settings, so again, pointless.

You need to use a regular browser to get there. Just copy and paste the link into your browser to go there. Once you get there, You'll see links that say "installer" & "7z archive". Click on the "7z archive" link and download it. Unzip the archive and open the folder. Inside the folder you'll find about 9 files select all of them except for the "src" folder and copy them. Go to your Skyrim folder, usually at c:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steam Apps/Common/Skyrim. Paste everything into the Skyrim folder. Click yes when it wants to combine folders and allow it to overwrite files if it asks. That's all there is to installing SKSE. Now you need to launch your game using the "skse_loader.exe" file that you just copied into your skyrim folder. Copy the "skse_loader.exe" file, go to your desktop and right click on it. Choose "Paste Shortcut". Now you can use this shortcut to launch your game.

No, I just don't see the point of you badmouthing something that you obviously have not tried. the whole point of modding is to add something to the game to make it more fun to play. I originally made this for myself, but found it so useful that I decided to share it. I can setup 3 different jump and run profiles and change to any of them on the fly with the press of 2 keys. You should try it. It's a lot of fun.

Potty mouth :(

Jesus christ why do people make pointless shit like this? This just takes up disk space for nothing.

@Sebastian
What are you, the rellivency police? This mod is far from irrelivent. This is a simple mod that makes it easy and very convenient to change the jump and run settings, save to presets, and load preset settings with the push of a couple of buttons. Plus there are modifications to other settings to keep you from dying on high jumps. But if you enjoy the console then you should probably stick with it.
Sebastian Aug 1 @ 10:19pm
this mod is irrelivent, you can do this on an unmoded game with simple commands if you dont know them you can find them easily on youtube
grivantian Jul 29 @ 12:01pm
@splynter That 3 sec delay in the air is easily defeated by pressing one of the arrow (move) keys. That brings you right back down to the ground. I also discovered that if you are on the side of a steep mountain with no sure footing, you can run around sideways until you find a nice level spot to drop down to. I found my way to the summit of many a steep peak where the view is spectacular, esp. having memory and the number of plats to load. (I forget the term Gopher used in his instruction of this). It's the sections of the map that are pre-loaded in the game so distant mountains and trees don't load until you get closter. 9 or 11 is good for this if your system can handle it. Makes jumping high and up mountains look much better. And, of course when floating at the top of a jump for 3 sec.
splynter  [author] Jul 24 @ 7:28pm
@Coco
Try moving it to last in the load order.
Coco Jul 24 @ 5:30pm
Yes.

splynter  [author] Jul 24 @ 5:27pm
@Coco
Do you have SKSE installed? It won't work without it.
Coco Jul 24 @ 3:28pm
Doesnt let me set jump height? Stays at 72?
TehUnoman Jul 23 @ 10:09pm
@splynter As it turns out, I never got the ring in the first place. I got the object ID and spawned it in, so it's now all good.
splynter  [author] Jul 23 @ 7:02pm
@TehUnoman
If the mod is still active and if the character isn't overloaded, then it may be that the maintenance script didn't do its job when the game loaded. Try setting the jump height and speed again.
TehUnoman Jul 21 @ 10:49pm
For some reason, my character can no longer jump, although he does the animation for jumping, he gets nowhere off the ground. I find it slightly hilarious, but also concerning for certain situations. Example: Scaling a mountain.
splynter  [author] Jul 21 @ 6:19pm
@grivantian
Glad you like it. I know what you mean, I feel so limited without it. I use it pretty much the same way you do. I've gotten used to that odd effect where you hang in the air for a few seconds and now I depend on it to have about a 3 second look around. It's also just enough time to draw and shoot an arrow.
grivantian Jul 21 @ 5:21pm
I absolutely love this mod! I find it indispensible. I use it surveil large areas of unfamiliar territory, leap over mountains, jump away from dangers I'm not interested in engaged at the moment, etc. I have also used it to break into keeps and castles and sneaking in through the door hatches atop towers. I use The Astoria enchanted flying dwarven ship (mod) as one of my hideouts and found it is possible to jump/run from the ground to get aboard ship. The deck above the bedroom is now accessible as well where before I had no idea what was up there or how to get to it. This mod does more than just let you leap over mountains or run as fast as the wind. It gives you new and more exciting ways to travel and explore Skyrim. Kudos!
A Question Mark Jul 3 @ 10:25pm
Is there a mod that allows you to fight while jumping?

where can i get skse
orenshmerling May 10 @ 7:39pm
yes it needs skse
FireOfLife May 5 @ 4:30pm
I can't seem to get it to stay on and I can't tell if it's working or not.
FireShadow Apr 30 @ 1:22pm
so I am confused does this mod need SKSE or not?
MACHINESofGOD777 Apr 11 @ 11:19pm
I think this mod made the inventory capacity bug out and now I can carry like 1000 worth of loot?
MasterHappy Mar 24 @ 11:02pm
Wonderful mod...but i lost my jump run token. cant find it anywhere. any help?
CkReku Jan 6 @ 2:29am
johnsmith I don't think that npc's can jump
JOHNSMITH11 Nov 13, 2013 @ 3:20pm
I don't have SKSE, and it works for me... does the mod alter NPC's jump height's too?
Zach The Ripper Nov 11, 2013 @ 8:39pm
This is excellent. I wanted to be able to move to places faster without having to use horseback, and also be able to jump to high ledges easily. This mod really does help, especially when I can adjust the speed and jump height. Great job.
CaptainAhab Oct 6, 2013 @ 11:08am
What does SKSE mean? Because even when I use my shortcut it still says I'm on steam and the ring still doesn't help with jumping
Marv Jul 20, 2013 @ 3:05pm
My mistake i just needed to launch the game using the SKSE shortcut on my desktop, not through steam.
Marv Jul 20, 2013 @ 3:03pm
I've only just installed it and it seems easy to use and incredibly convient but i cannot increase the jump value above 72 but the speed works fine?
splynter  [author] May 13, 2013 @ 6:32pm
@fistofdoom
To use the console to get the Jump Run Token:
1)Press the ~ button to open your console
2) Enter:
help "Jump Run Token" (with quotes)
3) Find the line that gives the object ID of the token.
4) Next, enter:
player.additem xxxxxxx 1
(replace the x's with the ID code)

You should get a message saying that the + Jump Run Token + was added.
Orran May 12, 2013 @ 2:14pm

fistofdoom Apr 28, 2013 @ 8:23am
sometimes it ring is in inventory sometimes its gone. when its gone i can jump at all. yes i have new skse but perhaps you could update mod where its autoset for normal jump if ring doesnt appear. other than that love the mod.

splynter  [author] Apr 15, 2013 @ 6:06pm
@justinurban03
Open the Skyrim launcher, click on "Data Files", and un-check the mod. Then launch your game as normal.
justinurban03 Apr 15, 2013 @ 10:38am
ummm so This was cool buti wanna unsubscribe and it wont go away even though im unsubscribed :/
splynter  [author] Apr 13, 2013 @ 9:58pm
@36_da_illfigure631
Try moving the mod to the bottom of the load order so that it loads last. There may be another mod interfering with it.
36_da_illfigure631 Apr 13, 2013 @ 9:30pm
did, no change.
splynter  [author] Apr 13, 2013 @ 9:26pm
@36_da_illfigure631
Be sure you launch your game using the skse_loader.exe. Make a shortcut to it on your desktop and use it to launch your game.
36_da_illfigure631 Apr 13, 2013 @ 10:51am
so I go skse, and the speed multiplier is working fine, but its not letting me change the jump height.
shyska ronja Mar 30, 2013 @ 10:28am
okay thank you :)
splynter  [author] Mar 30, 2013 @ 12:12am
@shyska ronja
Do you have skse installed? Also, are you launching your game using the skse loader? If not, then you need to.
shyska ronja Mar 28, 2013 @ 3:52am
It doesn't let me modify the jump height settings when I try it immediately unequips the token. What might be causing this?
