Possible Stats:

+ Changes the team of any building placed on
+ Spies can hit the Building with their knife to upgrade it
+ Can alternatively be used to blind other players temporarily
+ Enemy Dispensers "sapped" can be also used to speed up cooldown timers
- Sentries "sapped" deal damage to the Spy who sapped it if they are in the way
- Sentry does 50% less damage to the Engineer who owns the building(s)
- Level 3 buildings will slowly level down back to level 1 (Similarly to the Red Tape Recorder)
- The enemy team can still use Teleporters after being "sapped"
- Has a 10 second cooldown timer

Who needs a sapper when you can C&D with this in the enemy spawn until an engineer builds a sentry.

yeah I sorta agree with pyrofish while it would be cool It could be abused like if an engineer put a lvl 3 sentry near his base, any spy could come in and claim it which would discourage engineers from doing basically the one thing they're supposed to do, BUILD STUFF!

No thanks. This would be horrible. It would totally throw off balance and gameplay, no one would use anything else, nope. It just wouldn't work and would be a horrid addition.

Engie puts LVL 3 sentry right outside spawn. Spy saps sentry. Team is now screwed.

This could work if the sentry only shot at the engineer who made it, and anyone who was close to the sentry and outside of spawn when it was sapped.

I've said it before, I'll say it again.... Building conversion would be impossible to balance for the spy. If you slow down the timer on his "sapper" to account for the enourmous power of subversion, you border on uselessness. If you don't slow it down, it's obviously OP. Lets say the buildings are weaker after conversion... without someone to repair them (spy can't, engineers are unlikely to be closeby) they won't last too long. This means stealing a building will either end up being SUPER useful or SUPER useless. It's not situational, because the situation is either your opponent is incompetant, and the device is "Winny" or your end up looking like a terrible spy. Building conversion is a mechanic that deserves a completely new class. And I discuss this and more, in the forums. 9 new classes. Say it with me!

Wow, this doesn't sound ridicoulsly, gut-wrenchingly, horribly, disgracefully, dissappointingly, *insert more negative adjectives here* OP at all. Seriously, how could any see this as a good idea? You just took the only thig to make engineer worth playing, and took it away. If this was added, no one would play engineer. EVER.

how about this.
on place on dispencer or teleporter: teleports or heals people on both teams.
on place on sentry, deactivates.
destroyed like normal sapper

I believe thats bery similiar to something I have already heard on some forum. It turned enemy buildings into friendly buildings. I want it in the game anyway but it would have to have more negatives.

should be like an mvm sapper with recharge of 10 seconds

also, it shouldn't activate for at least 10 seconds, but should prevent buildings from working, like a normal sapper.

people on a certain team should know if their building is switched to the other team, so it should have some sort of logo above it (similar to the marked for death picture) and it should be covered with those spray paint cans (or whateveer they are)

How about it works for the enemy team, an the Engineer who made it can still explode, and see the color change in the Buildings H.U.D. Replaces Sapper, and possibly have an animation that sees the Spy painting the Building. Also can be used as a stun mechanic to paralyze people, and buildings. Just a thought.

make sentry lvl 1 once activated? and there should be a moment of time before the spy is able to complete the action of spray painting the sentry. If the sentry turns lvl 1 then i dont see the point in having it turn back over to the other team again. Sentry stays up until either the spy is taken out or the sentry is.

i think this is a good idea but there shuold be a negitive or 2 like: the sapper only lasts for a minute, the sentry would turn slowly, the sentry would have a very small radius,the sentry, when sapped, will be a level 1 sentry until the sapper is broken, or the sapper will break in 1 hit.
