That sounds great and fully understandable about real life :) Hopefully everything works out with the UDK build and I really hope the project succeeds :)
Jonsnow  [author] Mar 16 @ 2:25pm
Senator Gibbons: Yes, Space Shock is still alive. The KS fail only showed we were not prepared for KS campaign and PR. Some people needed to find a job, some people left, but the core of the team is still working on game prototype. We would like to deliver the prototype in the best condition as possible. We have been slowed little bit down by our real jobs (Alien: Isolation, Fable Legends), but experience gained from these jobs will be seen in Space Shock. The prototype will be available as UDK build and our coder is working on stats, combat balance so you all can see what is Space Shock about. Visual content is closed so I'm working on completely new Unreal 4 build. The grant from Epic is our goal. Fingers crossed.
Senator Gibbons Mar 16 @ 11:18am
Is this still alive? It was legitimately gutting that the KS failed, everything about Space Shock just oozes "LOVE ME!" but there haven't really been any updates since last year other than a comment about "prototype demo coming soon" in January.

Cokai: it's greatly appreciated being on your list. Thank you.
Cokai Mar 13 @ 4:57pm
@Jonsnow, nice, and btw your game is on my Linux Games Collection (there are some games on the list, but there are some rulez. So i think it is good to be on my list) : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=379532833

Jonsnow thank you <3
Jonsnow  [author] Jan 22 @ 2:04pm
Cokai: only prototype (demo) is developed under UDK but full game will be powered by Unreal 4 and UE4 has native support for Windows, MAc and Linux.
Cokai Jan 22 @ 1:03pm
I like the concept of the game, but i wish it would be released for Linux. Please .
Jonsnow  [author] Jan 21 @ 4:09pm
Meuh: many thanks for your comment. Exploration phase is similar to LoG, grid based movement but combat phase is turnbased, similar to Xcom or Incubation. The game prototype is in final stage, we would like to fix as many bugs as possible before the prototype will be released.
I'm responsible for environment (models, textures and lighting). Scripting, UI, characters, animations, visual scripting has been done by other members of the team and the game will be great thanks to them.
Meuh Jan 20 @ 2:12pm
Hi, found this by chance and the concept is very appealing. Is this like a space version of Grimrock? No pressure but would be good to know a bit more about the status. Have you donne all this alone? Wow you're a great artist, carry on!
Jonsnow  [author] Dec 7, 2014 @ 7:59am
Seemonster: we would like to release our prototype in best condition as possible so the prptotype will be released in the beginning of 2015 (January).
Dwilor: it's great to hear you like the game concept
Dwilor Dec 4, 2014 @ 9:20am
Looks really great, can't wait to play it !
Seemonster Nov 26, 2014 @ 12:26pm

Jonsnow  [author] Oct 26, 2014 @ 12:33pm
Thanks DinoBatt, in less than 1 month you and all fans will be able to play alpha.
DinoBatt Oct 26, 2014 @ 10:03am

Removing the first person prospective just killed the game, that was was so dumb.
evolution.400 Jan 21, 2014 @ 9:46pm
Seriously, had I known about it, I'd pay a few bucks for it for Kickstarter!
alocrius Jan 13, 2014 @ 9:28pm
They need to relaunch the kickstarter with a new demo. This is too good to slip through the cracks.
awilliams1701 Nov 14, 2013 @ 4:14pm
Is it just that the kickstarter that failed, or is this been abandoned? I don't see anything on this game anymore.

love turn based dungeon crawlers and scifi one is even better
Jonsnow  [author] Jul 29, 2013 @ 5:06am
Hello guys, thanks for all comments!

What we would like to do is to make a perfect game concept a mixture of dungeon crawler and tactical turn-based combat.

Keep spreading the word about the project if you like it.
blackX811 (CZ) Jul 29, 2013 @ 3:57am
I would also vote for possibility to do co-op/include of co-op mode.
Nijuu Jul 28, 2013 @ 10:40pm
Sci fi Turn Based game. What else more could you want? :)
blomme Jul 28, 2013 @ 12:54pm
Looks alot like x-com allready know i will love this
Ghraal Jul 23, 2013 @ 4:17am
Looks good. I was waiting for a good turn-based RPG that wasn't Swords-N-Boards OR X-Com. This seems like it will fill the bill nicely.
-Spooky- Jul 23, 2013 @ 2:42am
Coop Campaign / Customisation?
Piorn Jul 22, 2013 @ 11:16pm
The concept is nice I guess, but the gamemodes look like Grimrock and XCom, both of which I played a lot and have no urge to play again right now.
I'll wait for something unique to come out of this one, but if not, I'll skip.
Shmuelsh23 Jul 22, 2013 @ 10:15pm
Intresting concept. Looking to see where it will go
greywolf00 Jul 22, 2013 @ 4:56pm
Concept looks really interesting but I have a question, is this First Person View like the videos, or Iso cam like the photos? Kind of getting the impression movement is FPV and combat will be Iso but wanted to make sure.

som veľmi sklamaný že to už nieje v prvej osobe naozaj som sa na to tešil takto to bude dalšia tuctovo vyzerajúca hra :(

Nice concept, I would play it

Phrackwulf: Thanks for your critique and comments. You are right about the armor being a prototype (or concept) - but the similiarity with Halo is purely coincidental and we will be aware of that when working on the final version. Your ideas about the gameplay situations are interesting and we will keep them in mind. Thank you, for your interest :)
Alex May 28, 2013 @ 8:52pm
Awesome!
Der Meistershutze May 24, 2013 @ 5:25am
Couple three things. I know it's concept art, but the armor is way too reminiscent of Halo. Don't want to get labelled as derivative. The environment gives you some great options. What about the dangers of decompression or a deck getting evacuated to space to build tension? Would love to set up an ambush and blow an enemy out an airlock. Who doesn't want to do that? I know, early days, but once the core game is up this could be refined into something beautiful. Would also love some advertising saying "not revolutionary, but just really fun." "revolutionary" always indicates "overhyped." Very nice work so far.
.smx. May 15, 2013 @ 3:17am
Hi Dieithrio, thank you for your interest :). Expect the launch of the campaign in the following weeks.
Dieithrio May 13, 2013 @ 10:01am
Very interesting. I would back it on Kickstarter: is the campaign imminent?
Chauden May 12, 2013 @ 9:11pm
"Grimrock space edition"...

Yes. And I want that. BADLY. Now give it to me!!! :o

Grimrock space edition
Jonsnow  [author] Apr 19, 2013 @ 12:37am
We would like to apologize for the lack of new information about the project, but we are almost in final pre-kickstarter phase and the campaign will be alive in few weeks!

SomeoneWhoDoesSoemthing: Thanks for your comment. I agree with everything written in your comment. We have completely changed the TB combat into something more exciting and this will move Space Shock closer to Space Hulk, Wizardry and XCom and turn it into something bigger and more exciting than a copy of Grimrock in Space.
Sideshow Cyborg Apr 17, 2013 @ 12:26am
The choice between Real time or Turn based is quite a perplexing one indeed. To me, it depends on whether or not you are doing only the selected character's actions in real time. As I am not well versed in these gametypes, I am unsure as to how that works. Perhaps combat stops when your movement does, effectively acting as almost a V.A.T.S type targeting system or pulling up the power wheel in Mass Effect. Also, combining it with an action point type system where combat actually has to be moving or end for regeneration of said action points. Resulting in down times to formulate a plan and figure out optimal advantageous placement. All in all, it may be stupid, overambious, or perfect. My only hope is that I could be of assistance and you keep up the good work for this title.

Looks fantastic! I love the sci-fi setting as opposed to the traditional fantasy (which I still love too obviously). The environments are stunning. Keep up the good work! I'll buy it "when it's done." :)

Oh hell yeah, HELL yeah! I'm getting a deliciously delicious vibe of LoG mixed with Space Hulk mixed with Restricted Area. I want this and I want this biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig time.
