In the first room, I did not need the pressure plate reversing the tractor beam at all. You can push the button on the pedestal from the backside without getting fried.

Ah, restarted and found the stairs. Unfortunately I saved at the beginning of the second chamber and when I died and was respawned the stairs are gone. I give up.

There seems to be several annoyances in this map. No antlines are a pet peeve of mine. There seems to be weird Hammer issues (like the glitching particle effect of snow and non-grated things allowing funnels to go through them). I tried to jump through a laser redirected through a portal and got punished for doing so (unless that is the theme of this map being "naughty"). Then I had to start the map all over again. Autosaves please! The stairs randomly disappear, leaving a snowpile behind, trapping the player (or I don't know the trick to get out, possible to not have the cube by your side)! It seems as though there are forces stopping me from solving the second test. This map feels so cheap when it looks like it could be a decent map! I just gave up because of the annoyances.

Excellent map ! But I had a bug in second chamber : if you reload, the stairs disappear...

i liked this map as much as the first one. but
1. a few autosaves would not hurt
2. the exit elevator is bugged - the screen fades black after entering it but level actually never ends

great map, however i had a bug after entering the elevator. the screen fadded to black and then nothing. Normally it exits to the eval section. I could still walk around and shoot (sound only).

Clever map. Took longer than I'd have liked because if you die it starts you at the very beginning. I had a graphical glich with the falling snow at certain viewing angles. Might just be my graphics card and drivers. A design note: Snow is falling through the open ceiling looking out into a clear starry night sky. If it's such a clear night that you can see the stars, why is it snowing? Shouldn't it be dark/cloudy? Great map. Thanks for the fun!

Meanwhile, I found a few other possible improvements:

First and second rooms: the laser field and fizzler textures are misaligned. It looks more consistent and logical when the fizzler is two separate pieces.

Some of the doorways are backwards. Normally the player sees the teal person before heading through.

Some info_placement_helpers are recommended on the portalable surfaces where the laser hits and is expected to come out.

Suggested soundscape to add at the entrance of your test: TestChamber_Destruction.WindEerie_01

...still a great map. Couldn't really find a way to get stranded, which is good.

I never knew the system was broken. I'll have to play again...

I also recall trying the original Weighted Wonderland, both killing the turrets, and not killing the turrets, and I came up naughty both ways....

@Inspirata, there actually is supposed to be a way to get the "nice" ending - in fact, you SHOULD have to specifically try for naughty! But the system is broken. As soon as I'm able, I'm going to be updating the map to fix that issue and a couple others. Thanks for the feedback!

@GWD9000, yeah, the visual glitches are unfortunately unavoidable without resorting to custom particles, which can't be packed into the map. I like the idea of ghostly turrets...heh... Thanks for the feedback!

Nice follow up. Some thinking, but got through unscathed... even after being scanned... Was kind of expecting the Turrets of Christmas Past, or something. I still had some texture issues with the snow and skybox like the previous episode, but that didnt really effect gameplay or atmosphere. Thanks p0rtalplayer and team for the map. Cheers.

Thanks, anabell999! The Christmas P-body is a custom skin created by Colossal, and it's set as the playermodel ingame by using the "setmodel" console command.
