Hey Dude, Just want to say i really dig your game, downloaded it last night and been jamming it, really brings back 19's games which were really cool, similar to: Cyril Cyberpunk, Hocus Pocus, Jazz Jack Rabbit, Cosmo Cosmetic Adventures etc, the real cool games :) keep up the good work :) Will carry in playing tomorrow :)

They finally Greenlit it! I thought it would be Greenlit a long time ago. I've really wanted this game.

lavose: I've been thinking about revising the ending for a number of reasons, mostly because it assumes the player has a US keyboard layout, which was a bad design oversight on my part.

My goal with this Greenlight has not been to release a significantly updated version (and emphatically not to *sell* an updated version), but simply to put the same free game on Steam. That puts me in an interesting position. I don't want to spend too much time and money retooling this game when I could be working on newer, more salable games instead, but I also want my work to represent me and my company in the best possible light, so I'm incentivized to maintain and improve past releases.

So I guess the answer is, I don't yet know for sure what changes I will be making, but it is on my mind. I have no immediate plans to alter the story or ending, but I will be adding a "Master Quest" remixed campaign as I've mentioned before...plus maybe one or two other things I haven't talked about yet. :)

I played and beat this game a long while ago, and while the gameplay was decently fun, It really had no redeemable ending or story to tie it all together... that and a very stange mechanic for reaching the end.
In bringing this to Greenlight, are these two topics something that will be addressed and worked on or just left as is?

This one is like cake. You can stick it into your computer.
Merim 16 fév 2014 à 16h12
I usually show favors in classic games, bring back so many memories. Especially the ones that are free, alot of people would love to try some free classics for ones right? Looking forward to play it after it successfully gets in!

Freg: The Content 21 jan 2014 à 12h39
At least you released it on steam instead of 360 marketplace so you might make a few dollars.
Freg: The Content 21 jan 2014 à 12h32
Let's see:
-Blocky pixel graphics to pretend to be retro
-Obnoxious references

What a wonderful game.

Pirate Hearts, good luck with this game, and I hope for your future cross-platform Projects summary.

Rootin' for ya, Pirate Hearts. Everyone else, this game is an amazing tribute to a bygone era of gaming, with great gameplay, tight controls, and it's just plain fun. The aesthetics are such a labor of love, too.
Senzaka 6 déc 2013 à 17h40
good game
TheRealChaotix 5 déc 2013 à 18h28
This game is epic as hell. It has the feel of VVVVVV and the look of most retro platformers before our time. It's like a time warp into AWESOME!
Cuerito 4 déc 2013 à 13h51
Great game!
Heikles?! 4 déc 2013 à 5h19

I adore this game.

It deserves to be on Steam.

I class it alongside VVVVVV.

This needs to be on Steam >.<

I'm not a fan of super-hard platformers, but I love the look and style of this one. Upvoted for others to enjoy.
Tripple B 11 oct 2013 à 4h56
to hard for me :-(

Steven Brule, I'd expect more from a doctor. YHTWTG is definitely winnable, I've finished it myself. You just need to get 100%. Also a great game.
Dr. Steven Brule 16 sept 2013 à 10h30
PROTIP: It's impossible to win "the game"
thesunscreen 9 sept 2013 à 15h59
A bit like (or maybe A LOT) the somewhat recent game Super Meat Boy?
