I would definitely buy this game and play it on through stream...a lot! Steam has been missing a fresh combat game like this. Looking forward to seeing it available.

This game grapped my attention the moment I saw the giant mech!

@slashing.fum: Thanks! Personally, I was a big fan of Epic 40,000: Final Liberation back in the day, and years ago (I'm so old!) I even played around with modding that game. The Exodus Wars universe definitely shares much in common with that universe, and I think anyone who enjoyed Final Liberation will like what Fractured Empire is bringing to the table. :)
slashing.fum Mar 28, 2014 @ 4:17am
Looks like a refreshed Final Liberation! Very cool work! I´m with you! Thumbs up!

I really like the basic idea is very similar to an old favorite in the game when you see the Recoil. Then when you see you're sure to have it!
GR00V3R  [author] Mar 19, 2014 @ 7:48pm
@Prime: Absolutely. And thanks for the vote of confidence. :)

You can pre-order at 66% off with immediate Alpha access right now at .

We very much appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the game, even at this early stage of development.

If you're already familiar with the type of game, you may not need it, but there is a video tutorial available from the home page that will help you get started. :)
Prime Mar 18, 2014 @ 7:46am
I know it's in green light right now on steam. Any way to get the alpha or early access? I'd like to play this and have no problem funding to help develop an epic style game.
GR00V3R  [author] Mar 16, 2014 @ 5:48am
Thanks for pointing out the release date error—that definitely needs to be updated. :S
soggof Mar 15, 2014 @ 10:40am
Is there any video to show the progress since last year? (last video is from feb2013)
Probably release date "late 2013" should be edited as well...
zap123isprobablytaken Mar 9, 2014 @ 10:44pm
Bring back a refreshed version of Final Liberation and you'll have my $ in a heartbeat.

Thanks, ~OSR~ blubleeder. Please feel free to keep the ideas coming! We welcome any and all feedback that helps us make EW:FE the best game it can be.

And remember, if you're interested in trying the game in its current playable Alpha state, you can play right now by pre-ordering at! :)
inpetto# Mar 7, 2014 @ 1:31am
good game
blubleeder Mar 6, 2014 @ 11:30pm
aah.! ok. sounds good :)
also remembered mech commander 2...
has a feel from that as well.. but again, like you said all the 3 games i mentioned were RTS... :)
so am sure you can use that to your advantage in a turn based strategy game :)

just a suggestion... put in some nice cinematics if possible... something that captures the gamers real quick :D
atleast in the single player campaigns... before and after the campaign.. would be awesome :D

and i like the fact that its not "grim dark" :)
another game you can use as reference is Universe at War... simple system to replicate or get points from..!
just wanted to give you sufficient resourses to work with and build up something great..! looking forward to it :D
will be keeping an eye on this page..!!
GR00V3R  [author] Mar 6, 2014 @ 2:02pm
Thanks, OSR! Both Ground Control and Dark Reign are RTS games, whereas Exodus Wars: Fractured Empire is a turn-based strategy game, but, yes, we definitely have some parallels with those games in terms of the aesthetic. Exodus Wars is not quite as "grim dark" as other dystopean sci-fi universes—there's an element of hope in the world of EW that's often missing in others—but it's clearly taken some inspiration from those earlier works. That's actually one of the reasons we like it so much. :)
blubleeder Mar 5, 2014 @ 9:42am
well.. looks pretty good..!
getting a feel of ground control 2.. and even dark reign 2..
both were good classics.. and this looks like a combination of both..!
the unit models could use some work on the edges... and as for the environment... not sure if it is intentionally left barren so that the units can be seen, or if its less of a strain on the cpu and gpu..!! can do alot with it..!! :)
but... i am quite interested in it..!! hope you give it a nice send off.. looking forward to seeing it on steam :D

Музыка и эпичность. вот что понравилось
GR00V3R  [author] Feb 19, 2014 @ 1:37am
@frpatryke: Absolutely. Competing with armies at a set point limit (as is typical of the tournament scene in many tabletop wargames—anyone familiar with Warhammer 40,000 or Flames of War will likely know what I mean) is already a feature of the Alpha build, albeit it limited right now. We'll be expanding army list building as the game develops towards Beta, and a Challenge feature (e.g. challenging your friend to a game of Fractured Empire at, say, 3,000 points) is just one of the things we want to do. :)
frpatryke Feb 18, 2014 @ 10:32pm
Looks great! Are you going to build in a way to limit the number of credits available to build armies? It would be fun to be able to challenge an opponent to a x# credit battle/war.
showarnfull Feb 8, 2014 @ 11:37am
Very good work, and I'm sure that with more support and amelioration, it will be a wonderfull game.
Bravo (from France :D )
R1 Jan 29, 2014 @ 12:11pm
Мне понравилась музыка, больше эпичности и еще нужны останки после разрушений.
GR00V3R  [author] Jan 18, 2014 @ 6:25am
Thanks for your comments, peter201943. You're correct that the movement system is not locked to hexes (ala Civilization V) or large boxes (Civilization IV). We're trying to capture the essence of tabletop wargaming, so in this case we've implemented formations that can move up to a specific distance. We're also implementing an activations-based turns rather than the tradition "You Go, I Go" turn structure. The result is a great fun game and a different challenge to what most computer strategy gamers are used to. :)
peter201943 Jan 18, 2014 @ 5:14am
Although I'm not a particuler fan of turn-based strategy games (R.T.S.'s my forte), this game shows promise. According to the images and videos I've seen, the movement system isn't locked to hexagons so commonly found within other turn-based games suggesting an improvement in location selection. I wish the FracturedEmpire Team best of luck.
DeepFriedBunny Jan 17, 2014 @ 3:35pm
Also it must have offline LAN mode...only reason I would buy would be to vs my buddies at LAN's.. not interest in online play..other than updates.
DeepFriedBunny Jan 17, 2014 @ 3:35pm
If the game plays quite well, has good AI and exciting different units and you guys plan to add lots of different races... I will buy this ONLY on steam.
