Short and simple.

Glad I could help!

Thanks Selyp for your comment. Your playthrough of the first map and the comments from derula, kexx and Juggler made me remove the lightbridge and laser. I had thought a long while about it and finally came with a very good way to replace them. This was actually due to your playthrough of the second map where you went back into the corridor. Changed that you can't go in there the 2nd time, which meant the lightbridge was not a good idea anyway. :)

So thanks for that. :)

I like this concept. It took me a lot longer than it should have, but I think it's very cool. My playthrough of both the first and second map here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_1i7M4iNXs

Juggler: Great you did it again. :) Yeah. this is more a concept map than a puzzle. Once you do it the first time, the solution stays the same, only the method of approach changes which makes you think a bit again. I'll look into changing the bridge and laser. Enough people seem to see it as a burdon rather than a helping hand.

Thanks again for your feedback. :)

I did it again! The light bridge and laser were a bit awkward and unesscessary though. Also, the solution the second time through was basically the same as the first, so no trouble there.

Hey Kexx. :) Thanks for your comment. I suppose I could move the laser elsewhere. The sole reason its in the corridor itself is so it only becomes visible when you get the button to lit, and any other position seems to be more in the way. I'd like to have the laser hidden (as with the lightbridge) until you actually are ready. I've chosen the red laser because its very clear from the far distance, while the lightbridge might not be noticable from that distance. I even tried a turned lightbridge but that was just as confusing and still not the big eye-catcher.

In any case, I'll look into it. :)

Hey, I finally gave this one a try. I really like what you've done here. Now, for me, everything was pretty clear, so the laser actually hurt me. I didn't need it, and it made navigation a bit annoying. But, I understand why you did it. Perhaps there's another item you could use as a visual que? Or maybe place it above us, so it doesn't hurt us?

Either way, I enjoyed it a lot. I like small, simple maps, and this one delivers in both.

I've added a 2nd map. I'll keep the notifications for next map on the collection itself. Feel free to post a comment there to get future notifications on new maps in this series.

Yeah, Thats why I added the word help. Its just to make it easier. As the corridor is pretty far way, its easier to portal above the lightbridge and fall down on it than to portal inside the corridor directly.
derula Dec 14, 2012 @ 1:20pm
You can just portal inside , didn't need the lightbridge. But well maybe it'll help someone I guess.

Thanks Stagger Lee :) This is motivation to make more. :)

I love the concept and look forward to more refined tests along this concept.

the lightbridge is to help you get in there. the laser is just to visually show you that this door opened.

What are lightbridge and laser for?
