Ha ha, I love the animation of this, reminds me of a child's book, bright colors for when its day, darker colors for when its night. Best of luck getting greenlit!

Love the animation.

Keeping an eye out and was glad to see it running on something. Still a day 1 purchase. Now if there was a way to cram it directly into my eyes/brain then we are in business.

@stanky_hanky_panky . Thanks , glad we got your vote! I'm lead designer on the project. Well spotted on the Fosters Home reference, its a big influence on the game for sure. My first animation gig was working on Fosters for Cartoon network, great show, amazing design. We're certainly trying to capture the look and feel of all those awesome Cartoon Network shows.

@Timelogic41 ^<(,ಥ+++ಥ)>^ Thanks for the great feedback!
The puzzles will be a mix of classic point and click puzzles and Professor Layton like mini games. But unlike in Layton, our puzzles will be in game and won't take you out of the world. So for example at one point in the game you will be challenged to a dance off by an old sailor and this will be a mini game that will be like a Dance Dance Revolution game

This looks awsome. I love the art style, and the 'family friendly' vibe. I would definatly get a copy of this for myself and giftable one for a friend of mine who would KILL for a game like this. Just one question, and I bet someone already asked this in the comments but I'm too lazy to look XD: What kind of puzzles are we talking about here?

wow, looks great, beautiful art, charming animations. Really hope i get to play this some day. voice acting would sure be great
Steky  [author] Dec 8, 2012 @ 3:02pm
@pete.devlin Thanks! We're going to try and keep this page up to date, so please keep coming back to check out our stuff.
Steky  [author] Dec 8, 2012 @ 3:00pm
@TETSUOrocks We're planning on having professional voice acting in the cut scenes and some in-game stuff too. Kind of like how its done in Professor Layton. It would be very costly to have voice acting for all the dialogue.
pete.devlin Dec 8, 2012 @ 1:52pm
aww wicked, looks super smart, I'll keep my eyes open for when it moved to the next step
TETSUOrocks Dec 8, 2012 @ 12:48am
Looks pretty exellent for an early stage game. I would hope for some professional voice acting and animated dialouge scenes. The dialouge boxes wouldn't do the game justice.
FruitShopOwner Dec 6, 2012 @ 8:09am
great animation concepts, keep it simple
Steky  [author] Dec 6, 2012 @ 3:09am
Thanks Dizzard! Yeah I'm a big fan of the Ace Attorney games! I've only started playing Ghost Trick recently but I really like it so far.
ShipAntics will have a similar textbox and dialogue system to Ghost Trick. We're trying to mix the two styles of classic LucasArts adventures with the Capcom style ones.
Dizzard Dec 5, 2012 @ 11:22am
Out of interest Steky, have you ever played the Ace Attorney or Ghost Trick series? They're kind of a twist on the typical point and click genre and they're my favourite adventure games. (even beating out Sam & Max). Those games do an absolutely tremendous job when it comes to memorable moments and characters.
Dizzard Dec 5, 2012 @ 11:14am
This looks like it would just be my thing. I love the Sam & Max games. (and Adventure Time) Hopefully you'll get greenlit with not too much trouble. :)
Steky  [author] Dec 5, 2012 @ 4:04am
@NightmareNearIbuki We're influenced more by cartoons like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera but I can see the resemblance to Happy Tree Friends now that you mention it. As for the humor of the game, we're going for something like Adventure Time and Sam and Max.
Steky  [author] Dec 5, 2012 @ 3:57am
@Wolfulez Thanks so much! Our background is in working on TV shows for Cartoon Network and Disney, so we are trying to bring that style of animation and design into the game. Hopefully we'll have a prototype demo to play very soon and we will be puting a call out for alpha testers
Steky  [author] Dec 5, 2012 @ 2:58am
@eberrondnd Thanks! I'm glad you like the art style. Point and Click Adventures are a niche genre but its also a neglected one. We're hoping to appeal to a wider audience by adding modern gameplay elements, like how Professor Layton has.
Steky  [author] Dec 5, 2012 @ 2:48am
@Vilecat Thanks very much! We definitely want to have easter eggs and side quests. We're thinking of it as a sandbox adventure game with a point and click interface. Think of it as Zelda meets Monkey Island. We want to have lots of mini games and stuff to do just for fun, like searching for treasure.
We also want to have a multiplayer element were people can build there own custom avatars/ships and meet other players online in the world of shipantics and play mini games against each other. Kind of like Red Dead Redemption but with out the killing!
NightmareFumiKanno Dec 4, 2012 @ 9:32pm
Happy Tree Friends?
Wolfulez Dec 4, 2012 @ 6:17pm
I love how smooth the animation is and the art style is just gorgeous! I can't to play this。◕‿◕。
Vine Weber Dec 4, 2012 @ 3:29pm
Loved the art style the moment I saw it! Adventure is now a niche genre, but is one of my favorites! Keep going guys!
Vilecat Dec 4, 2012 @ 11:47am
I love the art style and the attention to details in the images and animations. There isn't really anything to give feedback on right now. Will there be things like easter eggs, or objects that you can interact with just for fun (exploration)?

I'll definitely come back looking for more. Good luck with this project!
Steky  [author] Dec 4, 2012 @ 6:35am
Thanks Mishka! Please do, we should have a game prototype to show very soon.
Noyemi K Dec 4, 2012 @ 5:02am
Looks and sounds right up my alley. I'll keep an eye on this.
