Well-made, nice looking, short journey.

Thanks for the chamber. Fun to play. Neat little concept.

Oh, yes, I played Portal Stories: Mel about a year ago, and it was a great time! Some puzzles there almost made me go nuts :)
And No Elements series is absolutely beyond my abilities. I hardly solved 2 chambers out of 20 or so o_O
Azorae  [autor] 6 grudnia 2017 o 11:45
I'll agree with Dickgirl Jones here - Mevious is on another level. I've collaborated with him on the No Elements series and his designs are excellent. He also contributed a puzzle or two to the free mod Portal Stories: Mel, if you haven't played it

>You're just making crazy cool puzzles! Are you from this planet?

Ask this question to Mebious. His test chambers are totally unresolvable. While Azorae's ones are merely very hard :)

Excellent puzzle.

Great puzzle which, for some reason (probably luck!), I found quite easy. I'm already following both of you :)

A bit tricky but not hard. Good job and thanks.
Poochie 22 czerwca 2016 o 9:49
I did it so I didn't have to use your solution. I threw the box from the second room into the first so that it would line on the lazer and in line with the 3rd rooms lazer receiver. I know that isn't the correct solution but it worked, on the first try too. Pretty simple after that.
ScubaDude 19 marca 2016 o 21:37
It took me for ever to figure this one out. So, I let enough time go by that I'd forgotten the solution and played it again. Here's the video.

Short and sweet, clean and logical. On my first run through I aimed the laser through the cube while holding it from the other side of the fizzler, lol. A move that is probably never needed but interesting that it's possible. I'm sure many beginner portal players are using this technique before they figure out that crouching makes pre-aiming a reflector cube much much easier.

Great map. That took some thinking.
jam.lab1 16 sierpnia 2015 o 16:37
Very, very clever. Really had to think on this one. Good job.
zigzagtenniscoe 12 sierpnia 2015 o 13:06

Once I realized this, I finally found out the answer to my question: how do I get both the laser cube and the laser outside of the usual solving area and set it up so I could point the laser to the catcher? Once I found out the answer to that, the solution was quite satisfying, Thanks once again for a great map! :D
zigzagtenniscoe 12 sierpnia 2015 o 13:04
Neat map! At first I didn't get the concept so I had to leave it till the next day, but then I realized that you had to do the puzzle once with the laser cube, than do the puzzle again with the laser cube in the other room outside of the usual solving area, and you had to shoot hte laser through the glass to get it to the cube to the catcher. Continued in my next post.

Very satisfying despite being fairly easy. Great job. Thanks.

Very, very good map. When it comes to test elements, sometimes less is more. This is a great example of that philosophy.

Please try, rate & comment on at least one of my tests; reciprocation is appreciation:

Read my profile before reading the rest of my comment!

I am not one for fizzler-laser puzzles but this one was one of the better, less annoying, but still more challenging ones. Nice!

Try my SP map?
Try my COOP map?

Very nice, enjoyed this one a lot
dlafield 25 lipca 2013 o 18:10
It looks so simple, yet it was very challenging.

I just published a level that also requires out of the box thinking.
Mathey2009 22 lipca 2013 o 19:36
awesome man....8 portals is my minimum I got....I love this compact and hard chambers that have this kind of solutions.

I thought it would take me more time (as I'm really bad at this kind of laser/fizzler lock puzzles) but in fact I solved it not so hardly ^^ Good work anyway ;)

Brilliant puzzle, one of my favorites. Simple and challenging.

Hints for those who are stuck. Enough to help you without giving it away.

1- The reflector cube never needs to stay in the part of room it spawns in. You never want it in between two fizzlers. You should move it to other parts of the room.

2- In the laser-beam room, there is a reason why there are TWO portal surfaces next to each other. You will need to use both of them to solve the puzzle correctly.

Hard, yet easy once you figure out what to do. Very well thought of... and yes you have to think outside the box.
Fluppy 28 grudnia 2012 o 2:14
Okay, I think this is one of the best puzzles ever made, because it is so simple and it fits nicely into the layout. Good job!

Great puzzle! Hard but easy!
Azorae  [autor] 14 grudnia 2012 o 22:13
Ha, yeah AD, almost all of my maps have goo pits and although I try to design them in such a way that it's difficult to fall into them or get stuck above them with no means of escape, I'd still prefer to have them as normal pits. Perhaps I'll go through and look at some of my old maps and see which goo pits can be removed (I actually recently removed the only goo pit from Lasers and Light Bridges)
AgentFire 14 grudnia 2012 o 6:14
Solved in about 5 minutes, but i liked it extremely.
AD_79 13 grudnia 2012 o 19:34
Oh, this chamber has no goo in it at all. Hmm... that means cake for you!
