All volumes are spread out on the floor, left of the alchemy table. Now it should be no problem to pick up the remaining volumes. Unzip the file and copy/move the ESP and BSA file to Skyrim's Data folder. Hope it works for you!
e.g. Have the quest given to you by an alchemist, and have pages in each alchemist store, a page in places like "Alchemist's shack" and other places that are chock full of ingredients like Haldir's Cairn etc
open the console (~)
type: help amm_
press enter
you will now get an overview of the books with IDs: xx000D62, xx000D63, xx000D64, xx000D65, xx002E17 and xx003E3F, where xx is the number of the mod in load order. You will see this load order number as 02, 1A or something else, depending on the number of mods you have installed.
Next, add the volumes to your inventory by using the console:
player.additem xx000D62 1
and subsequently for the other volumes.
@All others: thanks for the support!
I have one mod that increases the gold all merchants have to buy my stuff (loaded after yours) but no other mod that directly affects merchants. There are a couple of house mods though that add their own merchants. I'll try disabling those if the first two suggestions don't work and see what happens.
By the way, the bsa is working fine, I still have pretty pictures. And thanks for explaining the mechanics of your mod - problems are only problems if you haven't learned anything :)
Thanks loads and I'll let you know what happens
That said not sure if this helps but the dates on the bsa and esp files changed. For the bsa it shows 2005-12-31 and for the esp it shows 2013-03-04. Those are the modified dates - the bsa shows the creation/accessed dates as 2013-01-30. Not sure if that helps but those are the diff I saw.
Just FYI on the previous Steam download - the dates were right in that I downloaded from Steam on Mar 2 and the files dates changed - just no buy option. Don't get why Steam files aren't coming across right either.
