I can finish it without reversing the funnel. Just stand on the cube, then jump into the funnel then grab the cube quickly.

Very good puzzle. Thanks.
Petutski May 25 @ 4:30pm
Excellent map. Very challenging and fun! Thanks!

Brilliant puzzle, if done in the intended way i.e. the intended solution does not involve either you or the cube going into the pit - @RedSilencer’s comment at 22 Dec, 2015 points out an unintended solution. Thumbs up and favourite intended solution.

Slick!

Really cool map! Pretty amazing what you can do with so few elements.
qrioso Jan 24 @ 1:49pm
Great map, so clean. I had to try for 15 minutes, then stop for 5 and retry and after another 15 minutes i got it. Very clever. Your maps are often medium/hard but very fun to play. Thanks for this.

So, for the first instance you develop an idea which strats with "what if?" and then build the entire room that fits your idea. Thats pretty remarkable, thanx for your answer ;)
Azorae  [author] Jan 23 @ 3:10pm
@akross.cs All my puzzle ideas start with a "what if?" sort of thing where I think of a cool sequence or solution and generally work backwards to actually develop the entire room. All my maps are my own design except those where co-authors are explicitly credited, but I don't consistently put them out. I put one together when the inspiration arises. Thanks for the kind words!
akross.cs Jan 20 @ 10:55pm
i really admire your maps, and i want to know what it takes to be able to think the way to create such a difficult maps. Do you do it complettely buy yourself or usesome kind of refferences, portal paradoxes or whatever and then combine all that stuff toghether some way? I`m not asking this to make my own maps i wantto know how your brain works in glory of science!=)
jandlml Dec 20, 2016 @ 7:58pm
very excellent!
RedSilencer Dec 22, 2015 @ 12:22am
Good, but broken. Possible to jump onto cube and into funnel, pushing yourself to exit
D3M!5 Dec 11, 2015 @ 12:05am
One of your best, one of my favorites..

Yeah I see why no goo ruins the solution. Other than that, great map. Disabling the fizzler four separate times in different ways are required to solve I I counted that right.

A triumph!

I finaly take a look at the original map (and the very nice hammer version too). Thx alot for this very inspirating test, I hope you'll like "Xchange HM"
Azorae  [author] Jan 13, 2013 @ 1:17pm
You described it perfectly, thanks. I'll add the goo back in soon. Thanks for finding that!
Twinki Jan 13, 2013 @ 12:35pm
Ok well here it is. You place the cube on the platform with the button while you're in the pit. Then later, you activate the funnel so it pushes the cube to you (while still in the pit) , grab it from the funnel, then use it to jump in the funnel (just jump off of it while on the ground and quickly grab it, not really a feat of any skill) I think you can also make the pit deeper to fix this. . I hope I described it well enough, if not I can make a demo I guess.

Well I don't know how to hide spoilers in the comments.
Azorae  [author] Jan 13, 2013 @ 11:02am
How did you do it? I'll try to fix whatever you did and if that doesn't work I'll put the goo back in.
Twinki Jan 13, 2013 @ 4:52am
I'm afraid removing the goo kinda ruins the original way you meant for it to be solved. I solved it without using the reverse button, that would be impossible if the pit was inaccessible.
Metzger Ben | GER Dec 30, 2012 @ 12:45am
Without the goo it feels absolute clean, if you hav'nt seen it before. Innocent almost. Thumbs up! http://youtu.be/WmtRBYucKOI
Azorae  [author] Dec 28, 2012 @ 9:35pm
I removed the goo as I'm pretty sure it's unnecessary. If anyone finds a way to break the chamber now that the pit is accessible, please let me know.

Very fun. Good work.
Azorae  [author] Dec 16, 2012 @ 12:57pm
Metzger Ben | GER: Yes, all of my test chambers (with the exception of Momentum Control) are solved without using any difficult techniques or glitches and can be solved logically.
Stalker Dec 16, 2012 @ 11:25am
Great map. Thank you!
Metzger Ben | GER Dec 16, 2012 @ 4:01am
I have to ask ist that pure logic without glitches and quick reflexes?

I like laser-style maps, i really appreciate this one. Thank you!

I solved this after struggling for about 30 mins. It was very logical and made me say "oh, that author is really a genious!" in the end of the session.

I see Sloi video.. and there is 2 litle diferent solution... well i find 3 but third is not pure logic ( you can put box throught funnel with bad direction and box not return. if you place portal on corner of funnel )
here is my litle diferenced solution against Sloi :)

Fantastic map! I've been enjoying your Grand Designs.
Woodbeam Nov 2, 2012 @ 10:27pm
I just want to express how much I love this map. It's astounding how many uses there are here for just a handful of elements, and how ingenious those uses are. This is Portal perfection.
Sloi Nov 1, 2012 @ 9:58pm
Another great map by one of my favorite authors.

Cheers.

Phenomenally good, as always. I haven't thanked you for all the effort you've gone to yet, so thanks for entertaining me. Your maps (together with Mevious's and a bunch of the people in your circle) seem to be the only ones devoted solely to the 'puzzle', which makes you the best Portal map creators out there. Well done.
Azorae  [author] Nov 1, 2012 @ 10:58am
Yeah, I haven't gotten a chance to edit that in, but it's coming, thanks!
DeusEx_Machina Nov 1, 2012 @ 6:08am
I did not solve this yet, but i managed to trap myself on the entry side by leaving the cube behind the fizzler without being able to get a new one. Maybe you should put in a reset button? BTW, loved all your maps so far.
