The only reason I'm keeping up this submission rather than hiding it/deleting it was because it was part of my modeling tutorial. I don't expect this to ship because there is already a scythe of vyse in the game now... My post was regarding qwerqwer, though. I'm sure he's a very fun person to hang out with.

He also needs to learn how to spell (or proofread).

Glad to find this here, had the idea myself but have NO idea how to model. I think the blade is still a bit too "chunky". Make it a bit more sleek maybe.

I love Necrolyte, but I hate how little he has in the way of customization items. This looks awesome. Glad you're going to continue working on it :D

Yeah I'm planning on re-doing the texture--but during the summer :V

I gotta study for that MCAT first! Honestly I wish I had as much time as some other contributors. Nearing the end of the semester, all this darn work piles up... haha.

I went looking just to see if someone had made this, good job man. Only thing is that I feel the blade needs more umph to it, and the actual staff part feels weird, like it's just too bright and blocky.

It would be really cool to make the crystal part of the scythe transparent or ethereal. You could make it glow brighter depending on the current level of sadist (i.e. the number of souls he has harvested). Just an idea, the item still looks amazing. Totally up-voted it.

Just one comment: wouldn't it be better if the ram horns thingies actually stick out a little? The way they are now, they look kinda... flat.

I must admit that the hard thing to manage is getting a good shape with the limited amount of tris you can use. It's currently sitting at the maximum tri count of 500. I agree about the texture though. I feel like all thumbs when it comes down to it.

Looks too comical right now (very bulky and bulgy). Currently does not fit the Dota2 art style too well, but is a good start.

The textures need more definition and the blade needs more polys. It looks like you spent a lot of the budget on the shaft but not enough on the actual blade. Look at some of the current cosmetic items (such as Witch Doctor's staves) to see how to better conform to the art style.

I love the detail you put on the horns, but imo the blade itself could do with some more polys. I'll agree with Skye - it's looking pretty flat.

Very clever idea, HellJumper. I like how it fits, both in terms of replacing the original and in terms of the character's lore and gameplay. I feel that the textures could use some work, though. That light blue looks awfully flat.
