Yeah, Steam has been kinda iffy with downloads the last few weeks. Seems to be totally random. I bet they did something like reducing the number of servers available. Anyway, if you ever get that error message when downloading any map, just keep thta one in your queue and try again the next time you play. Usually works 24 hours later, which makes me think it's a server issue. They probably reset them every day. Dunno, but I hope you get a chance to play this map. It was a challenge trying to make it.
Send more maps, the last one tasted great!
You would want it to cover the portalable surface seen in this picture [i.imgur.com]
Guess I should do this map the proper way soon :P
I just tried it. I don't see how it can be used for an exploit, though. You still need to be able to drop that goo in the correct spot. I'll keep an eye on that area, though. Maybe there is an expoit there that I'm not seeing yet. Thanks!
If you time the drop right, you can get the blue gel in the correct spot on the first try. No need for the blue to drop on the glass. Actually, I just put the glass there so the player wouldn't be infuriated if he dropped into the water and had to restart.
When I make a map, I tend do drop a lot of speedy gel around so I can zoom around quicker while playtesting. I deleted all the red gel except for that one spot because I figured that a player might get annoyed if he kept missing his chance to grab that cube. He can now speed back ot the faith plate to try again. That's all it's really there for.
If anyone reads this, let me know if you find any solutions to this map that seem out of the ordinary. Especially if you were able to solve it without having to use one of the five buttons at some point.
