I can confirm that the Vault will not change when you update. All of my treasure was right where I left it.

Araanim is correct about the containers placement, while I kept as many containers as possible, some were removed in the process of making the overhaul, mainly in the outdoors areas. Please remember to gather your things and clean out your containers before updating!

THAT BEING SAID, if you are already using Tundraloft, it might be wise to grab all of your stuff out of containers before updating. I tested this on my save and it seemed like most of the containers carried over with the update, but I'm not 100% sure of that. I think a few containers may have been changed so you might lose stuff. If you've stored a lot in there, better be safe than sorry.

Tundraloft has just undergone a massive overhaul. LordOfNyrin took interest in the project a while back and wanted to put some work into revamping a lot of the problem areas. Seeing as I hadn't had time to work on this, I let him go hog wild. Suffice it to say that he did some incredible work. He overhauled all of the architecture, cleaned up some problem areas, fixed all the lighting, gave everything an extra layer of gorgeous detail, added some new areas and features, and completely revamped all of the loot into some clever static pieces that act as containers, instead of 6 billion random items havok-ing all over the place. He did an incredible amount of work and really made this project shine. A million thanks. The newest update has all of his changes, and has been tested and confirmed.

You truly understand how the Snow Elven architecture is meant to be like if made a house mod in skyrim creation kit, though i wanted to ask a request:

Create an entire Player-Home Fortress with various Staff (Librarians for spell vendors, Guards in snow Elf Armor Etc) And to make it ONLY using the Elven Architecture models, like a sort of CK challenge request, if you do look into this then thank you for your time, it's just that we have like, one immersive, lore friendly Snow Elf-Home (Which is yours) and the others are more lore un-friendly.

another questline i had planned was the "siege of windhelm" questline for the altered reality and possibly a second nord invasion led by someone else leading to a D-day style battle on the northern shores of skyrim after the liberation questline. Though these three parts would most likely be left open for others to do. I may get a chance to pick up this mod again soon when summer starts and mabye get to do it as a final project for college. That would be nice.

with the mod i had planned, IF i did complete everything i listed below you would have been able to travel between the altered world and the real one using the stargate, leaving room for expansion, one of which if I got around to it was the "liberation of the snow elves" quest line, where after defeating the nords they take on the dwarves who are unwilling to free their people and lay siege to their fortress with firepower and artillery. (yes i said artillery, its an altered reality with gunpowder).

@Araanim yes i have heard of (and played over and over) much ado about snow elves. There is a 4th mod floating around that re-adds the tomb of the snow prince and a 5th one that puts small asthetic snow elf ruins around skyrim to a small degree. I huge coalition for a player DLC type mod about snow elves is something i very much would like to see.

Also, have you heard of Much Ado About Snow Elves? It's a great mod that adds some little quests and some pretty neat Snow Elf weapons and such. Maybe we could combine all three and create a sort of Snow Elf Expansion? I can't promise much involvement, but I've got the architecture covered at least :-)

Wow that sounds pretty awesome. Yeah, I had just planned on having you find a secret door in some nord ruins that led into the Snow Princes huge kingdom inside the Moesring mountains. Then, once you clear if of Falmer, you can find some refugees and they eventually come back to the kingdom. But yeah, if you want to use the Snow Palace for your mod then go for it! That sounds like a hell of a quest to figure out.

If you sided with the elves, there are snow elf inhabitants and merchants, if you sided with the Imperials or the Stormcloaks, you would have them as inhabitants and merchants. If you did decide to side with the elves and go through with their ludicris plan, not really much will change as upon winning the Battle of Moesring, you are teleported back to skyrim and spoken to by Akatosh,
who forced to step in to prevent the history change by separating the altered reality from real one into two universes the help of the other Divines and even some of the Daedra Lords who had a lot to lose from an altered reality.

They planned to travel back into time to the battle of Moesring and change history using a dwemer tech stargate powered by an elder scroll. And you, the player could help them achieve their goal and lead their army into battle - or choose to report your findings to the authorities and stop the mad snow-elves plan to alter history by laying seige to his castle castle in the mountians with either the Imperial Army or the Stormcloaks at your back (based on what side you joined), and regardless of which path you chose, you got to keep the castle and the new items i was going to add.

I had a planned and started work on a mod where after completing Dawnguard you would hear about a potential buyer for Auriel's Bow and would find that the buyer is living in a castle secluded in the mountains where what remained of the snow elves and an army of falmer led by a 4,000 year old (and very angry) snow elven noble who survived the battle of moesring is preparing to wage war on the nords once again with the use of dwemer technology, gunpowder, and waves and waves of angry falmer out for blood.

@Araanim, thats the same thing for my story, i had planned something epic on the scale of the dawnguard expansion, but half way through it i was forced to abandon it or atleast put it on long term hold because of my college schoolwork and my actual work. Ill post it above so you can see it. If i do work on it again, may i try to build in compatablity with my own mod and the two you made?

@Connor.mackey Yeah the lighting has been a real pain. You might be interested in my other mod, The Palace of Snow. It's not finished but it is a seriously massive Snow Elf kingdom. That one did have plans to bring back a whole city of snow elves but I bit off a little more than I could chew. If you're interested in taking over, by all means. I'd like to get back to it eventually, but I've got a lot on my plate these days.

My only complaint is the exterior lags quite badly and many of the items in the exterior could be bolted down by disabling havok on load to cut lag down and it would still look good. The second complaint is the interior has some twitchy/broken lighting (i hate dealing with fixing twitchy lighting in the CK, its so hard to fix!) But even with those problems, Im still moving in and going to use this as my new home. Its pretty much perfect.

Wow, just wow. This is one of the most extensive house mods ive seen, not just for a snow elven ruin-house but out of all house mods ive used/tested. I play a snow elf using mods and when i downloaded this I thought it was going to be a nice mod for my character. I wasn't expecting a fortress of this magnitude. In response to finding the handful of survivors of the snow elves, PLEASE DO THIS! I really want to see a "last refuge of the snow elves" mod made with a awsome player home and having to "build it up" by finding what few snow elves are left. I planned to do such a thing but due to my current life constaints, wasnt able to go through with it.

you could use Gelebor as a base model for snow elves, the use combination of different altmer features to make the race

i always thought woodland-highelves would come back, but then again i always thought they turned into spriggans and wispmothers......

I'm not sure how good the idea is, but why not a small family that tends the garden? Mayhaps add a small home or have a room for them in the house. It'd make it a lot more home-y feeling, especially if you decide to make it to where players can move in their spouse and children

@LadyofHera Yeah I'd like to add something but I'm not sure what. Maybe give you the opportunity to hire staff? I toyed with the possibility of finding surviving snow elves to join you, but idk. I feel like there's a whole second mod in that. It would be cool to fill the barracks with troops that you could call to your aid.

It'd be nice if there were a few NPC's to make it feel a bit less empty in the house. Maybe a guard or maids or something? The house is lovely, but it's a tad too lonely there for me to fully enjoy it.

the snow elves would not have used dwemer tech, but they were advanced.... all you would need to do is change the metal color.... i think something white or almost a white-gold or platnium would be nice...

The house is extraordinay- however there's problems that break it for me. The constantly respawning Falmer in and around the house make it unsusable for me as a player home. The mudcrabs in the trough in the dining area are a nice idea in theory but the game still treats them as enemies so it's impossible to fast travel away while 4 or 5 are crawling around. The quest needs work too as I had to use the console to get it to work. The quest I could deal with but the respawning enemies every tiem I visit the house are a dealbreaker.

By the way, the one chest on the alchemy terrace apparently respawns after awhile (beside the regular table, not the crafting table). Don't put anything valuable in there.

WOW! What a mindblower!!! This house is way worth the effort to claim it! for those struggling to find it...open the console and type coc tltundraloft. Lots of baddies to be killed, especially that one in the basement! One of the best house mods- without a doubt. Keeper!

Ok A first I was excited to get this mod, and the look of the place didn;t disapoint. However, the 20 millon falmer, charus, and whatever that boss guy was, complelty ruined it. I had to trun boss mode on just to get into the place, becaus I ran out of healing potins before even getting inside.

I also had problems with every other door being locked to such a high level, or requiring a key I didn't have, I kept having to use the consol to unlock things just so I could progess through the house, the keys i picked up off the shaman falmer didn't seem to work on any of the doors I tried.

Finally once I was insied and in the first rea, it looked like every brazer in the alcones was floating up off the ground. And I found that I kept getting lost, since all the halls looked the same and kept going around in circles. The gate like doors inside, opening out into my face and halls, only made things even worse, puching mme back and making it even harder to move around in.
